Republicans will bitch and moan and cry "CLASS WARFARE" if anyone dares to suggest that the wealthiest Americans should pay a bit more in taxes to address our fiscal problems. They will tell you that people making $250,000 a year can't afford it. But in Wisconsin they cheered as Republicans leveled a 6% pay cut at public employees making 5 figure salaries and took away their collective bargaining in the name of addressing their fiscal problems. Now THAT'S class warfare , Republican style...
Wow the childishness of the democrats is sickening. They are like little children. Grow up and start living in the real world. No adult I know acts this way.
@starmud2 Collective bargaining for "public service" employees enabled prior politicians to make special deals that deferred costs. Deferring costs is what got the state into the problem in the first place. The state was unable to live up to the deals that they made. It saves money by preventing future abuses. It saves money by preventing future politicians from "spending" future money that the state doesn't have. Unions okay. Government unions should be illegal.
@ahsasv18 So you had sex with a corpse, how was that? lol And no she hated liberals. You people need to read the constitution and how this country was designed in the first place. The US was never intended for big government. Go to China if you want government to tell you what to do.
@Fringe111 when you stop being a cunt then we can talk, 3 weeks of debate on this bill but of course and the democrats ran, so stop blaming others when they failed everyone.
I love that the Dems were at least there to chant. Not hiding out in Rockford. "THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE." Wasn't that one of the other Democrite chants? If you don't like what was passed remember you can vote them out next election cycle. But it still seems like the people of Wisconsin have finally been heard and they want Public employees to pay for a portion of there benefits just like us private sector workers do!
Regardless of your political party, or your view on the bill, no one can deny that this was a unprecedented disregard for demogracy, and the rule of law. The American forefathers woud be ashamed.
@cloogerdude-Obviously your comments were meant for someone else.I couldn't disagree with you more. Better learn the history of unions and what they have done for the working class before making such decisions. They are certainly not "out of control..Divide and conquer is the goal of those against unions. It is fine for corporations to have a team of lawyers against you but they condemn labor for having representatives in their corner.I speak from experience having walked the walk for many yrs.
@cloogerdude-How old are you 12 ? Childlike comments and lack of answers do not equate to intelligence. But if a constant display of ignorance makes you feel that it does then please continue as in the past.
@cloogerdude-Sorry buddy but if you cannot explain your own comments you lose. Slow learners trump those who put their foot in their mouth every time.
@cloogerdude- And you still have no answers. You are a genius and if anyone is in doubt they can check back through your comments and see that you cannot explain the comments you have written. You have made my argument very easy. Thank you for being a conservative
I guess the republicans figured that the dems had had plenty of time to debate the issue, but had chosen to just speak amongst themselves in IL instead. This whole ordeal is ridiculous. It is shameful that the budgets of the states are in such a dire state that any of this even has to be considered. Our monetary system has failed us and our greed has put all of the nails in our coffins.
@cloogerdude - If you claim that what you listed is what made him "great" than any president who rode out a recession would be a "great" president. Twist it as you like but at the end of the day you put your foot in your mouth with a statement you could not back up. Again you are one of many who made such claims but failed to list reasons why. You did however give the old "Sarah Palin try" by attempting to baffle us with BS
@cloogerdude-So in other words you cannot answer the questions. Don't feel bad, I have asked this question to many, many conservatives and have never gotten an answer. You should remember that if you make such statements on a public forum you should have something of substance to back them up.
@cloogerdude-You forgot that he more than tripled the debt, moved the country to the right and started the slow demise of the middle class. As with other presidents he rode out a recesion but that doesn't answer my question as to why conservatives claim that he was a "great" president. The fact is that he was not but you are welcome to give it another try. You also failed to explain why you made the comment about libs chanting "shame" in Wisconsin made them appear unitelligent.
@urparanoia ,I tried,God knows I tried, but trying to explain politics to you is like trying to teach quantum physics to a chimpanzee,....oh well, you might as well get back to sponge-bob, and leave this discussion to the grown-ups,....
@cloogerdude-You people are always talking about Reagan and how he was a great president. Please enlighten me as to what he did to help the average Joe. Feel free to use more then one post since there is a 500 character limit.
@cloogerdude-Many conservatives also lost but they are not intelligent enough to realize it. That's what is so sad about this country. We have all too many people who support a conservative party that is not supporting them. Many get tied up in the rhetoric and repeat it without knowing what they are talking about. This country has been going downhill since Reagan became president and all too often the people to blame are the ones in the mirror. What you don't know can and has hurt you
There was 3 weeks of debate on this bill but of course the Dems were in a motel 6. I'm glad the GOP pulled this on them. They deserved it for not being there to try and stop this.
@catman3443 Hate to say it but "reform of the mediation arbitration law used to solve local government labor disputes" doesn't mean "ban unions."
If Walker had campaigned on stripping collective bargaining rights he would never have been elected. Polling clearly demonstrates that if the election were held today, he would lose, and lose big. This was a sneak attack, Walker himself even referred to it as "dropping the bomb."
OH YEAH !!!!! Go WALKER !!!!!! Crush the unions ! Fine the teachers $1000 per day, put the fleeing dems in jail for the rest of their terms, and layoff as many teachers as you can !!!!!! THIS IS GREAT !!!
@llorensl-Read "The wrecking crew" by Thomas Franks for a better understanding of how conservatism is ruining the country. What Franks has to say is common knowledge among those with IQ's higher then their shoe size.
Hate to say it but Wisconsin voted for a Republican governor who, during his time in the State Assembly in the early 1990s, advocated "reform of the mediation-arbitration law used to solve local government labour disputes" (Milwaukee Sentinal, June 23 1993 pg4, it's on Google News archvies). The methods are despicable but the basic debate isn't something out of the blue: Walker has always been anti-union and the people of Wisconsin still wanted him.
Also, this is mob mentality at its best, look at the old guy, front row center. This guy is all into it. Like honestly you people are sick. Lets not forget communism is solely responsible for MORE DEATHS than any other type of politics in the entire world. People in eastern Europe understand quite well that communism is NOT the way to go. Sure it sounds awesome on paper, but live through it like my family did. Its not as pretty as they make it seem, not at all. You people are morons for this.
I am a Republican in my values, but honestly the politics in this country are going to tear it apart within my generation, shit like this is going to be the downfall of the country. Republicans are becoming brick walls and causing so many ripples in the country (though I have Republican/Conservative ideologies, I am sick of Fox News), and Democrats are making even worse ripples, making it even worse. You people are retarded, and you will be the cause of the downfall of the country before I die.
@jlbm54 You are exactly the reason that teachers have a bad name. " ME UNION MEMBERS ARE NOT THUGS, AND DONT BREAK LAWS LIKE YOUR KOCH LOVING GOVERNER" Lets examine this, you said above this statement that you have a masters degree? What does "me union members" mean? And "GOVERNER" really? I think the word you are seeking is Governor with an O. I am appalled at how you are saying you need to be paid more even when you are propagating such pathetic writings. Shame, Shame, Shame !!!
Come on, we are not overpayed. Dont say teachers are over payed, they have more schooling, and merit than most of you , I also have a masters degree, and am making less than my private counterpart.
@jlbm54 You are exactly the reason that teachers have a bad name. Everything about this bill is undemocratic. Walker and these republicans have subverted the democratic process at every turn; they are not interested in democracy. And this is as of Wednesday, March 9, 2011.
FYI, Walker''s horrendous bill was passed in an un-precendented way in the State and country's history. After 15 seconds of 'debate' the gavel hit, and the vote was passed, 12 democrats waiting to speak in the queue were not heard and a large chunk of them didn't even get to vote! You think it;s OK to give tax cuts to the wealthy in Wisconsin and remove pensions for public workers, union rights your ancestors fought to make law? They cried SHAME cause it wasn't democratic.Everybody get a clue
@SurferRosa1000 Find out about flash mobs and how they will be used to counter demonstrations staged by unions and progressives in the USA. Join a flash mob, learn how to set one up, and participate in all the 2 million persons marches on the Capital starting in late May. First flash mob will be conducted in NYC on Wall Street in early May. You are one of the first to be notified.
@SurferRosa1000 FYI it's no wonder with the circus going on inside there. I would have pounded the gavel at 2 seconds. They cried "shame" because they're tools. You apparently don't realize what sort of measures the unions "bargain" for. Do you even know what this bill is about? The unions aren't being "busted" - they can just negotiate wage increases that are REASONABLE (according to inflation, cost of living). Then there's the fact that teachers are FORCED to donate to the Democratic party.
@SurferRosa1000 One of the reasons Walker took Milwaukee County was because of shady union dealings. You're forgetting about the extremely expensive teacher benefits - "The district’s contributions for health insurance of active employees total 38.8% of wages. For private-sector workers nationwide, the average is 10.7%." And then the failure to raise scores despite spending $10,000 per student. Oh, and where's the news about union thugs getting violent?
The republicans are never the majority, they just win elections because the democrats are too busy working two jobs to go out and vote. Also, didn't the republicans block about every bill for the past two years in DC?
fucking union scum dont care if america is bankrupt, just as long as they get theirs - fuck the corrupt and crimminal unions- its time they took a bite of the shit sandwhich like every other working american
THE RPUBLICUNTS ARE NOTHING BUT LIARS NOTHING BUT EVIL DIRTY ANTIAMERICAN LIARS
DRAFTDOGERS, LUNATICS, SCUMBAGS, ANTI VETS ANTI CHILDREN - THEY VOTED AGAINST GIVING HEALTHCARE TO THE HEROS - I DON'T FORGET EVER. AND YOU CAN KISS MY VET ASS
Americans 93 % none union and our 7% union work force we must all unite for liveable wages and healthcare. Don’t be spellbound by the talking media heads of the unscrupulous companies and Gov officials who indirectly work for them. And are trying to put a wedge between us None of them are hurting are they. Support only fair trade! And USA products. Lets fill our coffers again. With taxes made by product's made here. Go on line to Made in USA.
Orangeshirts- read "What's the Matter with Kansas?" You're from WISCONSIN- you should be quiescent, milquetoast, undemonstrative Lutherans that should have an almost cellular-level disgust for this sort of radicalism. The idea that state employees should be paid at the level of upper middle class yuppies is INSANE! Youve gone into the wrong fields if you were expecting this type of compensation. The coasts can indulge in this sort of fantasy- but we can't have the MidWest go wobbly on us.
@cloogerdude wow u think ur so smart with retarded comments like that. Since when did speaking the truth make someone retarded ? what fucked up world are u in
People aren't seeing that the fight here IS between the "little people," those of you who are in the PROTECTED public-employee and public-union class and those of us in the private sector, who have no protections whatsoever! No white-collar industries need unions! And when regular people like me, often MORE qualified than public workers, send in their resume, it doesn't even get looked at, because opening jobs to the general public is just for show, and you know what I'm talking about!
@jburr36 Nobody said UNIONS were perfect, but neither are Republicans and this will hurt Republicans and that leaves us with the "Libtards" you so affectionatlly speak of so let it go Sir. We can all agree that this will do none of us any good so I dont see your interest in the subject.
@TheMadman1967 Unions were essential back in the day when there were true abuses by employers. Back in the day when companies owned entire towns and had a large influence in local governments. However those days have passed and we have passed legislation and regulations as well as created government agencies that deal with issues with labor conditions and compensation. That has basically made unions obsolete. The majority of the voting public DEMAND a return to government fiscal responsibility
@TheMadman1967 We have just learned this week that there are 100s of redundandant government agencies wasting 100s billions of taxpayer dollars. 80+ redundant acencies within the department of educaiton alone yet the libtards out there keep whining about how not enough is being spent on education. The new populist trend related to government is fiscal responsibility and preserving the rights of the taxpayer. Libtards see this as a direct attack on their idealism considering that their policies
as far as the union and the miners go, the miners died in spite of the unions. the union was ineffective but the real failure was with the inept federal government with weak oversight just as with the BP oil rig explosion.
Actually that's a DAMNED good idea!!!!!! Walker needs to enlist the help of Jimmy Carter to deal with this union bargaining rights issue. Carter is a Professional at stripping public sector employees of those rights. He's got some experience on the federal level!!! WOOOT!!!!
Funny how libtard dems demand others to be mature to debate issues when they come to a thread accompanying a video depicting the utter disgraceful thuggish spoiled rotten childish behavior of the type of libtard dems that they vote to represent them after losing a vote. If the GOP acted this way it would be equally disgraceful and I would be totally ashamed and devastatedand outraged of their behavior. Just more libtard hypocisy and double standards if you know what I mean.
Libtards is an insult and a form of name calling. No response until you can be mature enough to not make fun of liberals and those with mental handicaps.
@mielkeway8 by the way, many words in the english language and with the letters 'tard.' Only a selfish person with a serious inferiority complex would jump to a conclusion that you just did. As far as making fun of liberals is concerned libtards spewing their failed ideology in public causes them to bring it on themselves anyway. Again they have only themselves to blame for the shame they endure. This video is the epitomy of my point.
What the libtards are attempting to do to the US in public ed, villifying religious values and morals, forced redistribution of wealth, iron fisted government regulations to control a population, propaganda to villify certain groups of society is precisely what the stalinists did in the USSR at the expense of the lives of 10s of millions.
@jburr36 I see your point but if a person works a minimum wage job then they must learn to live with that wage.
but if you are fortunate to get a union protected job you should be thankfull because you could be in a minimum wage job as well that is whypeople KNOW without the Union ALL jobs will be minimum wage jobs outside of health care and such
@TheMadman1967 Minimum wage jobs are not jobs people make careers out of. They are entry level jobs that young people get as they enter the workforce and gain experience. You fail to comprehend what 'fair market value' of labor means. the more skills a person acquires the more they will be worth in the labor market. People have a choice of just how much money they are able to earn by how hard they are willing to work for it and how much they INVEST in THEMSELVES. No need for unions for that.
@TheMadman1967 As have been mentioned in this thread many times, Provate sector Union membership has been plummetting over the past decades from 30% of the private workforce in the 50's to 6% today. Why? Because we live in a worldwide market and Unions have collectively bargained US jobs overseas. If you want to blame companies for being Greedy for that you must also blame the american public greedy for wanting to buy cheaper foreign products. A phenomina of business and population exodus
@TheMadman1967 from forced union states to right to work states has also been occuring according to the US Census. Studies have shown that right to work states on average are more business friendly, have lower unemployment, have better fiscally responsibility in the government and have lower costs of living than that of forced union states. It's obvious that Unions are an impediment to businesses who try to compete in a world market. A poll released a few weeks ago showed just 9% of non union
@TheMadman1967 private sector workers want to join a union. In other words 91% do not. The Public sector union is a different story as those jobs are more difficult to outsource overseas. This has made it ripe for corruption and exploitation especially considering that public employees are paid by confiscatory taxes with very little influencial imput from the taxpayer. The result is a public sector employee base that on average is compensated with wages, benefits, and pensions
@TheMadman1967 that are DOUBLE that of a comparable job within the private sector. This is unsustainable and is why the governors of many states are trying to force a reform that requires compensation on par with those who do similar jobs in the private sector. Unions originated at a time when they were needed where true abuses by an employer occurred. since then numerous laws and regulations have been enacted that have made unions essentially obsolete and even harmful to their members.
libtards promote policies that destroy the ability of individuals to create wealth. No nation has ever taxed itself or redistributed its wealth into prosperity. Take note of what communism in the Soviet Union did to their citizens over the DECADES it was forced upon them. Starvation, suffering, Deaths of 10s of millions. In order for the stalinists to perpetuate communism they too tried to destroy morality by outlawing religion and indoctrinate communism in their youth in schools.
The constitution does not madate separation of church and state. It merely prevents the government from creating a state religion. The fact that 70+% of the nation is Christian/Catholic means that yes, we ARE a christian nation. As far as the american dream is concerned-stealing the fruits of someone else's labor to feed a bloated government and give to those who refuse to create their own wealth was never part of the American Dream. We are laughed at because of what libtards have done to us.
So go ahead and call me names. Be immature. Try your best. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
What I want is a true debate, no ad hominem attacks. I want to see intelligent replies without stooping to childish antics otherwise I will not reply.
@mielkeway8 Ad far as immature postings, see your fellow libtard's posts below. You need to speak to them and not me.
By the way, I cannot call one with a 'liberal' idealism 'liberal' since their idealism is a direct antithesis to the very definition of the word 'liberal' so I had to find a new term for them such as 'libtard'. Just as the suffix 'phile' refers to an attraction to something or an affinity to something I routinely add it to the acronym 'peta' to call peta people 'PETAphiles'
What happened to this country being the land of the free and home of the brave? What happened to the American Dream? What happened to endless possibilities?
We are heading towards a scary mix of 1984 and Brave New World.
Other countries think of us as a spoiled hormonal teenager that thinks that they know it all and what's best for the whole world.
We went from being on top, to being laughed at, to being a disgrace.
Think about it logically. The repubs want to deny gay marriage, keep DADT in place, make registering to vote harder, horde oil, give tax breaks to big money, and use religion to back much of their arguments, DESPITE the fact that there's suppose to be a separation of church and state considering we are NOT a Christian nation nor were we founded as such(as stated by the Treaty of Tripoli in 1797).
I am very disappointed with our country and the media bias and all the bullshit.
The republicans are backed by the rich, the elite, the CEOs of companies that rake in massive profits instead of giving back to their hard working employees or laying them off.
THIS IS NOT OK! What happened to democracy? 2.9 million voices were not heard. This is sneaky, wrong, and unfair to the constituents who were denied.
Why must republicans be so backwards?
I'm probably going to get called names and be bitched at. How mature. Sorry, I'm done with high school. Let's be adults.
designck: To the contrary, it';s the Democrats who've been bought and paid for by the unions. The Republicans are doing exactly what they promised to do if they were elected. This is true representative government in action: much to the chagrin of the unions.
Koch Industries have manipulated Wisconsin. Walker's union-busting budget plan contains a clause that went un-noticed. This clause would allow the sale of publicly owned utility plants in Wisconsin to private parties (specifically, Koch Industries) at any price, no matter how low, without a public bidding process. The Koch's are behind the bill to eliminate the collective bargaining power of unions in a bid to gain a monopoly over the state's power supplies.
@justonefirefly1 Easy enough for anyone to check my channel and see that I have been here since January of 2007. So Now that we have established you are lying about me, that makes your claims of being a Veteran even more suspect. Care to tell us what your MOS was ?
Libtards are sure merchants of other people's misery as they work tirelessly to perpetuate it for their own emotional needs. This is incredibly immoral and self destructive for a society as we are living through it now. I noticed that most libtards loathe the idea of self sufficiency. Libtards require a dependency class to gain power and control of a society. Teaching people to become self sufficient would drastically weaken if not destroy the liberal idealism and render the libtard irrelevent.
@jburr36 I TOTALLY AGREE! I'm glad you brought up the bible, because it reminds me of my favorite verse Genesis 3:17, "Jesus created the heavens & the earth to rid the universe of libtards, peasants & anyone who can't become independently wealthy."
There is NO middle ground. Any government programs or assistance whatsoever are communist! Fire departments & police departments are an evil red plot ...thus sayeth the Lord.
@astronautagogo There you go again telling other people what they can't do on their own. You just keep making my point for me. People like you with your warped idealism tries to steal any shred of self worth and self esteem from others by creating victims out of them and that they are not capable of achievement. You do this for selfish reasons. Libtards thrive of the misery of others as they feed their own sense of self worth of the backs of the emothionally needy. Do keep proving me right.
@astronautagogo To further prove my point that you libtards are true merchants of other people misery, I said, "give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for life" and you responded by claiming these people cannot become independently wealthy. Can you not see the cruelty in your statement? You NEED others or to need you in order to validate your own self worth. In other words, in order for you to feel good about yourself someone else has to be miserable. Shame.
@jburr36 YOU FUCKING LIAR PUSSY COWARD - YOU ARE A PICE OF SAUDIA ARABIS FUCKING FILTH BROUGHT OVER HERE BY FUX FICTION KISS MY VET ASS YOU RETARDED FUCKING ANTIAMERICAN SCUMBAG
@justonefirefly1 And you are what a libtard who's idealogy has been exposed for the selfish fraud that it really is as society is now rejecting it overhwelmingly looks and acts like. Libtards usually self destruct like you when defeated. Please keep it up, you are doing wonders for advancing the conservative cause by showing how intolerant and hateful you people really are.
@justonefirefly1 The evil lie about WMDs was perpetuated by Saddam. He blatantly admitted that he lied about having them because he thought he can scare the UN and his enemies into thinking an attack on iraq2 would be a blood bath. Since Saddam had a history of using WMDs in the past to kill many 100s of thousands of his own people as well as Iranians the UN and the entire world believed that he still had them. It wasn't Bush's lie or the GOP, It was Saddam's lie you idiot.
@jburr36 It was perpetrated by bush cheney and the war monering republicunts - The man said he didn't have any - he let that inspectors into his country. He didn' have any.
The lunatic who said turned on his country and gave false info - said he lied.
5000 American soldiers died for that fucking lie and more than 100,000 children and women and old people and innocent people in Iraq died for that fucking lie They never had the capability to make WMDs all they had was oil.
@justonefirefly1 I guess you are just born stupid or something. Didn't you pay attention to what Saddam said after he was captured and put on trial? He said he lied about having WMDs because he calculated that Bush and the coalition wouldn't have the 'guts' to attack him if they thought their soldiers were heading into a blood bath. He blatently admitted to making the whole world believe he had them and the UN and most western countries blieved he had WMDs.
@justonefirefly1 The ONLY point you are proving is complete and utter stupidy as a result of your blind hatred and self-sanctioned ignorance not to mention a complete lack of communication and social skills. By the way, I never dodged any draft. I served my time in the army as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Mechanic in the Early 90s. ROTFL! No need for me to make libtards look idiotic. They do it all on their own. Hysterically amusing.
@justonefirefly1 Besides, Why is it that you commie libtard American-hating ignorants are so concerned about the supposedly 100,000 iraqi children that died in the war yet don't seem to give a rat's ass about the millions of Iraqi men, women, and children that Saddam slaughtered with WDMs and daily torture with his Fedayeen? Do those millions of innocent lives that Saddam destroyed mean NOTHING to you people at all? Where was your compassion for those people and why do you loathe us stopping it?
@justonefirefly1 The fact that you libtards don't proves that all your anti-war compassion is a fraud perpetuated to disguise your hatred for america. Just admit it, freaks. You ask the average Iraqi if they are better off today than they were under saddam's terror regime you might realize that for them the war was just. No longer is it a death sentence for iraqis to use the internet or even watch satellite TV. We won the war when the iraqi got a voice in choosing their own government
@justonefirefly1 Also, the Afghan war is totally justified. As I already stated that Al qaeda was using Afghanistan with the full support of the Taliban to train terrorists to attack America and the western world. We did not decare war on the Taliban or Al Qaeda. It was they who declared war on us in 1998. Clinton was too inept or just plain incompetent enough to take it seriously and 3000 Americans perished because of it. You are too blind by hatred fueled by ignorance to see it.
Totally dude, those fuckin 'libtards' bro! Because retarded people suck too! They're free loaders just like the working peasants! Why can't they all just pull themselves up by their bootstraps and become Wall Street millionaires??
Bottom line, if you can't become incredibly wealthy or aren't an heir to the incredibly wealthy, you deserve NO RIGHTS, NO SAY, NO HEALTHCARE, NO LIVING WAGE!
@astronautagogo Since the oppurtunity for anyone and everyone to create their own wealth already exists why not encourage them to do so rather than listen to libtards convince them that they are nothing more than victims of society and blame everyone else for them being poor. LOL! What a libtard calls fair and compassion is what I call cruel and inhumane. There is an old biblical saying - "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for life."
@jburr36 Totally bro. Like LOL! Ya know?? I mean, god...too bad we even need these pesky working peasants at all! Those greedy teachers suck! We need to replace them all with automated Halliburton online courses to homeschool all of our children. Free our kindergardeners into the flawless wonders of the private sector! The government can't do ANYTHING right! That's why I don't use roads, sidewalks, use water or mail anything.
@astronautagogo again there you go making victims out of them when it would be more compassionate to encourage the peasants to achieve wealth by creating it for themselves instead of encouraging the peasant to loathe and blame those that have achieved wealth by creating it. Keep proving my point. This is fun.
Yeah bro totally! I suck! Government would work best if only those darn laws, regulations & pesky working pesants would just GET OUT OF THE WAY. We need to let the corporations do whatever they want so they can be free to heal the world with their magical free market fairy dust.
@astronautagogo Only here those working peasants have the opportunity to create their own wealth rather than trade for it with labor if only the right people taught them to do so instead of a political idealism that makes nothing more than victims of society out of them. LOL! How do you think the rich acquired their wealth? Perhaps they created products or services other wanted and got paid for it? As I said, Governments do not create wealth, they consume wealths that others have created.
@astronautagogo At least my politics and conservative compassion won't bankrupt the private sector or state and federal governments. Also my politics encourages others to create their own wealth instead of stealing it from others.
Corporations make their money on the backs of the american worker and should pay their fare share, not get away with refunds or zero liability. you're Ideas are based on fantasy and policy that has failed for 30 years, (and also failed in the early 1900's) The housing mess was a matter of greed and dishonesty on behalf of the market, Let's create a product we know will blow up, then insure it so when it does we still get our money. How the hell can you say that's not corrupt.
@agasizzi Make money on the backs of the american worker! ROTFL!!! Thanks for proving my point that libtards consider businesses yet another entitlement program for the 'working class'. I hate to break this to you but the only reason businesses hire employees to to make money off them in return the business offers the worker compensation AT FAIR MARKET VALUE FOR THE WORK. Speaking of fantasies, you still seem to be in one considering that you fail to realize that the catastrophic debt crisis
@agasizzi that the fed government and the states are sufferring from are the precise result of libtard policies. Americans finally started to figure it out and voted overwhelmingly to fire democrats in the last election in both the federal and state governments with a message begging them to stop this fiscal insanity. The housing market crash was created by libtards forcing banks to lend money to those who could not afford it and the libtards convinced those who couldn't afford the loans.
We also used to pay for the majority of government expenses through import tariffs and other fees related to international trade but republicans eliminated those. Currently nearly half of all imports into this country are products made by american companies over seas. Profits are claimed overseas and losses over here. I paid more in taxes than the top corporations in this country. That's BS.
That's just it, corporations for the most part do not re-invest in brick and mortar projects, Low tax rates put the emphasis on investing in financial endeavors such as stocks, real estate, commodities, etc. All items that create nothing more than corporate wealth and giant bubbles that burst and crush those on the bottom that had nothing to do with it in the first place. I suggest you do some historical analysis and spend more time speaking intelligently than hurling insults
@agasizzi Oh and your spew about the corporations, what part of corporations do not pay taxes - those who buy the products and services of corporations do do you not understand. And what the hell do you think people do with money they get from investments? plant it in the yard and pour miracle grow on it hoping to grow a return? All investments have risks associated to it. And are you going to call the 100s of millions working class that have 401K and managed money market accounts greedy?
@agasizzi You fail to realize that since the early 1990s most of the growth in the stock market occurred as a result of working class retirement plans. And the cause of the real estate crash rests at the hands of libtard politicians and agencies compelling banks with legislation to let people borrow beyond their means to repay it not to mention the federal government backed agencies guarantee the loans and bankrupt. The GOP tried to pass legislation years before to address serious issues
@agasizzi only to be halted by the dems with Barney Frank at the time claiming that there was nothing wrong and the GOP were overreacting to a non-issue. Barney Frank even had to admit that he was incredibly 'mistaken' about the incident and recanted after the crash. So, I do pay attention to historical details. I suggest that you cure that disease called 'ignorance' before you hurt yourself or semone else with it.
They don't pay taxes because we give them millions of loopholes, historically that's not how this country has functioned. Economics is not a zero sum game and to attribute that as being a liberal idea is incredibly ignorant. the idea that higher wages decrease the gains of the wealthy is a conservative idea. Progressives are the ones who continually argue that everyone can win in a fair system.
@agasizzi Again for the 100th time - according to the irs the top 15% of wage earners pay 95% of all income taxes while the bottom 50% on average pay no income taxes (due to what you call loopholes, dedeuctions, etc) and the bottom 10% get a 'Refund' entitlement in the form of EIC. When will the libtards demand that the bottom 50% pay their fair share of taxes? Also, historically government spending has always been below 20% of the GDP (3% from the 1700's to the late 1900's) and now it's
@agasizzi well over 25% of the GDP. Does one HAVE to explain to you that the 'liberal compassion' that caused this is bankrupting the country? A typical libtard answer is to just tax more but then again they just aren't that bright as it's been proven that overtaxing a population leads to economic colapse. A "progressive' (just a rebranded libtard) ideology of what is fair ALWAYS entails no consequence of themselves and comes at the expense of the wealth creators to the non wealth creators.
That is why a non-union merchant like Wal-Mart is running rings around unionized merchants. Unionized merchants charge a lot more for the same products. If you are going to call walmart greedy you must also call every one of their customers greedy too for trying to save money.

If you don't like what was passed remember you can vote them out next election cycle. But it still seems like the people of Wisconsin have finally been heard and they want Public employees to pay for a portion of there benefits just like us private sector workers do!

I guess the republicans figured that the dems had had plenty of time to debate the issue, but had chosen to just speak amongst themselves in IL instead. This whole ordeal is ridiculous. It is shameful that the budgets of the states are in such a dire state that any of this even has to be considered. Our monetary system has failed us and our greed has put all of the nails in our coffins.
rebmahendy 11 months ago
@cloogerdude - If you claim that what you listed is what made him "great" than any president who rode out a recession would be a "great" president. Twist it as you like but at the end of the day you put your foot in your mouth with a statement you could not back up. Again you are one of many who made such claims but failed to list reasons why. You did however give the old "Sarah Palin try" by attempting to baffle us with BS
urparanoia 11 months ago
@cloogerdude-So in other words you cannot answer the questions. Don't feel bad, I have asked this question to many, many conservatives and have never gotten an answer. You should remember that if you make such statements on a public forum you should have something of substance to back them up.
urparanoia 11 months ago
@cloogerdude-You forgot that he more than tripled the debt, moved the country to the right and started the slow demise of the middle class. As with other presidents he rode out a recesion but that doesn't answer my question as to why conservatives claim that he was a "great" president. The fact is that he was not but you are welcome to give it another try. You also failed to explain why you made the comment about libs chanting "shame" in Wisconsin made them appear unitelligent.

Then there's the fact that teachers are FORCED to donate to the Democratic party.
calends 8 months ago
@SurferRosa1000 One of the reasons Walker took Milwaukee County was because of shady union dealings. You're forgetting about the extremely expensive teacher benefits - "The district’s contributions for health insurance of active employees total 38.8% of wages. For private-sector workers nationwide, the average is 10.7%." And then the failure to raise scores despite spending $10,000 per student. Oh, and where's the news about union thugs getting violent?

@TheMadman1967 Unions were essential back in the day when there were true abuses by employers. Back in the day when companies owned entire towns and had a large influence in local governments. However those days have passed and we have passed legislation and regulations as well as created government agencies that deal with issues with labor conditions and compensation. That has basically made unions obsolete. The majority of the voting public DEMAND a return to government fiscal responsibility
jburr36 1 year ago
@TheMadman1967 We have just learned this week that there are 100s of redundandant government agencies wasting 100s billions of taxpayer dollars. 80+ redundant acencies within the department of educaiton alone yet the libtards out there keep whining about how not enough is being spent on education. The new populist trend related to government is fiscal responsibility and preserving the rights of the taxpayer. Libtards see this as a direct attack on their idealism considering that their policies

@mielkeway8 by the way, many words in the english language and with the letters 'tard.' Only a selfish person with a serious inferiority complex would jump to a conclusion that you just did. Again they have only themselves to blame for the shame they endure. This video is the epitomy of my point.
jburr36 1 year ago
What the libtards are attempting to do to the US in public ed, villifying religious values and morals, forced redistribution of wealth, iron fisted government regulations to control a population, propaganda to villify certain groups of society is precisely what the stalinists did in the USSR at the expense of the lives of 10s of millions.
jburr36 1 year ago
@jburr36 I see your point but if a person works a minimum wage job then they must learn to live with that wage.
but if you are fortunate to get a union protected job you should be thankfull because you could be in a minimum wage job as well that is whypeople KNOW without the Union ALL jobs will be minimum wage jobs outside of health care and such
TheMadman1967 1 year ago
@TheMadman1967 Minimum wage jobs are not jobs people make careers out of. They are entry level jobs that young people get as they enter the workforce and gain experience. You fail to comprehend what 'fair market value' of labor means. the more skills a person acquires the more they will be worth in the labor market. People have a choice of just how much money they are able to earn by how hard they are willing to work for it and how much they INVEST in THEMSELVES. No need for unions for that.
jburr36 1 year ago
@TheMadman1967 As have been mentioned in this thread many times, Provate sector Union membership has been plummetting over the past decades from 30% of the private workforce in the 50's to 6% today. Why? Because we live in a worldwide market and Unions have collectively bargained US jobs overseas. If you want to blame companies for being Greedy for that you must also blame the american public greedy for wanting to buy cheaper foreign products. A phenomina of business and population exodus
jburr36 1 year ago
@TheMadman1967 from forced union states to right to work states has also been occuring according to the US Census. Studies have shown that right to work states on average are more business friendly, have lower unemployment, have better fiscally responsibility in the government and have lower costs of living than that of forced union states. It's obvious that Unions are an impediment to businesses who try to compete in a world market. A poll released a few weeks ago showed just 9% of non union
jburr36 1 year ago
@TheMadman1967 private sector workers want to join a union. In other words 91% do not. The Public sector union is a different story as those jobs are more difficult to outsource overseas. This has made it ripe for corruption and exploitation especially considering that public employees are paid by confiscatory taxes with very little influencial imput from the taxpayer. The result is a public sector employee base that on average is compensated with wages, benefits, and pensions
jburr36 1 year ago
@TheMadman1967 that are DOUBLE that of a comparable job within the private sector. This is unsustainable and is why the governors of many states are trying to force a reform that requires compensation on par with those who do similar jobs in the private sector. Unions originated at a time when they were needed where true abuses by an employer occurred. since then numerous laws and regulations have been enacted that have made unions essentially obsolete and even harmful to their members.
jburr36 1 year ago
libtards promote policies that destroy the ability of individuals to create wealth. No nation has ever taxed itself or redistributed its wealth into prosperity. Take note of what communism in the Soviet Union did to their citizens over the DECADES it was forced upon them. Starvation, suffering, Deaths of 10s of millions. In order for the stalinists to perpetuate communism they too tried to destroy morality by outlawing religion and indoctrinate communism in their youth in schools.
jburr36 1 year ago
The constitution does not madate separation of church and state. It merely prevents the government from creating a state religion. The fact that 70+% of the nation is Christian/Catholic means that yes, we ARE a christian nation. As far as the american dream is concerned-stealing the fruits of someone else's labor to feed a bloated government and give to those who refuse to create their own wealth was never part of the American Dream. We are laughed at because of what libtards have done to us.

mielkeway8 1 year ago

We went from being on top, to being laughed at, to being a disgrace.
mielkeway8 1 year ago
Think about it logically. The repubs want to deny gay marriage, keep DADT in place, make registering to vote harder, horde oil, give tax breaks to big money, and use religion to back much of their arguments, DESPITE the fact that there's suppose to be a separation of church and state considering we are NOT a Christian nation nor were we founded as such(as stated by the Treaty of Tripoli in 1797).
I am very disappointed with our country and the media bias and all the bullshit.
mielkeway8 1 year ago
The republicans are backed by the rich, the elite, the CEOs of companies that rake in massive profits instead of giving back to their hard working employees or laying them off.
THIS IS NOT OK! What happened to democracy? 2.9 million voices were not heard. This is sneaky, wrong, and unfair to the constituents who were denied.
Why must republicans be so backwards?
I'm probably going to get called names and be bitched at. How mature. Sorry, I'm done with high school. Let's be adults.
mielkeway8 1 year ago
designck: To the contrary, it';s the Democrats who've been bought and paid for by the unions. The Republicans are doing exactly what they promised to do if they were elected. This is true representative government in action: much to the chagrin of the unions.
SoutherngentFL 1 year ago
Koch Industries have manipulated Wisconsin. Walker's union-busting budget plan contains a clause that went un-noticed. This clause would allow the sale of publicly owned utility plants in Wisconsin to private parties (specifically, Koch Industries) at any price, no matter how low, without a public bidding process. The Koch's are behind the bill to eliminate the collective bargaining power of unions in a bid to gain a monopoly over the state's power supplies.

Teaching people to become self sufficient would drastically weaken if not destroy the liberal idealism and render the libtard irrelevent.
jburr36 1 year ago
@jburr36 I TOTALLY AGREE! I'm glad you brought up the bible, because it reminds me of my favorite verse Genesis 3:17, "Jesus created the heavens & the earth to rid the universe of libtards, peasants & anyone who can't become independently wealthy."
There is NO middle ground. Any government programs or assistance whatsoever are communist! Fire departments & police departments are an evil red plot ...thus sayeth the Lord.
astronautagogo 1 year ago
@astronautagogo There you go again telling other people what they can't do on their own. You just keep making my point for me. People like you with your warped idealism tries to steal any shred of self worth and self esteem from others by creating victims out of them and that they are not capable of achievement. You do this for selfish reasons. Libtards thrive of the misery of others as they feed their own sense of self worth of the backs of the emothionally needy. Do keep proving me right.
jburr36 1 year ago
@astronautagogo To further prove my point that you libtards are true merchants of other people misery, I said, "give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for life" and you responded by claiming these people cannot become independently wealthy. Can you not see the cruelty in your statement? You NEED others or to need you in order to validate your own self worth. In other words, in order for you to feel good about yourself someone else has to be miserable. Shame.

Cunt you can kiss my VET ass and then the rest of the 5000 dead Americans that fought and died for your fucking evil lie about WMDs you fuckin cunt
justonefirefly1 1 year ago
@justonefirefly1 The evil lie about WMDs was perpetuated by Saddam. He blatantly admitted that he lied about having them because he thought he can scare the UN and his enemies into thinking an attack on iraq2 would be a blood bath. Since Saddam had a history of using WMDs in the past to kill many 100s of thousands of his own people as well as Iranians the UN and the entire world believed that he still had them. It wasn't Bush's lie or the GOP, It was Saddam's lie you idiot.
jburr36 1 year ago
@jburr36 It was perpetrated by bush cheney and the war monering republicunts - The man said he didn't have any - he let that inspectors into his country. He didn' have any.
The lunatic who said turned on his country and gave false info - said he lied.
5000 American soldiers died for that fucking lie and more than 100,000 children and women and old people and innocent people in Iraq died for that fucking lie They never had the capability to make WMDs all they had was oil.
justonefirefly1 1 year ago
@justonefirefly1 I guess you are just born stupid or something. Didn't you pay attention to what Saddam said after he was captured and put on trial? He said he lied about having WMDs because he calculated that Bush and the coalition wouldn't have the 'guts' to attack him if they thought their soldiers were heading into a blood bath. He blatently admitted to making the whole world believe he had them and the UN and most western countries blieved he had WMDs.

YOU DRAFT DODGING WHORE
justonefirefly1 1 year ago
@justonefirefly1 The ONLY point you are proving is complete and utter stupidy as a result of your blind hatred and self-sanctioned ignorance not to mention a complete lack of communication and social skills. By the way, I never dodged any draft. I served my time in the army as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Mechanic in the Early 90s. ROTFL! No need for me to make libtards look idiotic. They do it all on their own. Hysterically amusing.
jburr36 1 year ago
@justonefirefly1 Besides, Why is it that you commie libtard American-hating ignorants are so concerned about the supposedly 100,000 iraqi children that died in the war yet don't seem to give a rat's ass about the millions of Iraqi men, women, and children that Saddam slaughtered with WDMs and daily torture with his Fedayeen? Do those millions of innocent lives that Saddam destroyed mean NOTHING to you people at all? Where was your compassion for those people and why do you loathe us stopping it?
jburr36 1 year ago
@justonefirefly1 The fact that you libtards don't proves that all your anti-war compassion is a fraud perpetuated to disguise your hatred for america. Just admit it, freaks. You ask the average Iraqi if they are better off today than they were under saddam's terror regime you might realize that for them the war was just. No longer is it a death sentence for iraqis to use the internet or even watch satellite TV. We won the war when the iraqi got a voice in choosing their own government
jburr36 1 year ago

Bottom line, if you can't become incredibly wealthy or aren't an heir to the incredibly wealthy, you deserve NO RIGHTS, NO SAY, NO HEALTHCARE, NO LIVING WAGE!
astronautagogo 1 year ago

That's why I don't use roads, sidewalks, use water or mail anything.
astronautagogo 1 year ago
@astronautagogo again there you go making victims out of them when it would be more compassionate to encourage the peasants to achieve wealth by creating it for themselves instead of encouraging the peasant to loathe and blame those that have achieved wealth by creating it. Keep proving my point. This is fun.
jburr36 1 year ago
Yeah bro totally! I suck! Government would work best if only those darn laws, regulations & pesky working pesants would just GET OUT OF THE WAY. We need to let the corporations do whatever they want so they can be free to heal the world with their magical free market fairy dust.
astronautagogo 1 year ago
@astronautagogo Only here those working peasants have the opportunity to create their own wealth rather than trade for it with labor if only the right people taught them to do so instead of a political idealism that makes nothing more than victims of society out of them. LOL! How do you think the rich acquired their wealth? Perhaps they created products or services other wanted and got paid for it? As I said, Governments do not create wealth, they consume wealths that others have created.
jburr36 1 year ago
@jburr36 Yeah bro nice one! Almost as mature as your politics.
astronautagogo 1 year ago
@astronautagogo At least my politics and conservative compassion won't bankrupt the private sector or state and federal governments. Also my politics encourages others to create their own wealth instead of stealing it from others.

Corporations make their money on the backs of the american worker and should pay their fare share, not get away with refunds or zero liability. you're Ideas are based on fantasy and policy that has failed for 30 years, (and also failed in the early 1900's) The housing mess was a matter of greed and dishonesty on behalf of the market, Let's create a product we know will blow up, then insure it so when it does we still get our money. How the hell can you say that's not corrupt.
agasizzi 1 year ago
@agasizzi Make money on the backs of the american worker! ROTFL!!! Thanks for proving my point that libtards consider businesses yet another entitlement program for the 'working class'. I hate to break this to you but the only reason businesses hire employees to to make money off them in return the business offers the worker compensation AT FAIR MARKET VALUE FOR THE WORK. Speaking of fantasies, you still seem to be in one considering that you fail to realize that the catastrophic debt crisis
jburr36 1 year ago 3
@agasizzi that the fed government and the states are sufferring from are the precise result of libtard policies. Americans finally started to figure it out and voted overwhelmingly to fire democrats in the last election in both the federal and state governments with a message begging them to stop this fiscal insanity. The housing market crash was created by libtards forcing banks to lend money to those who could not afford it and the libtards convinced those who couldn't afford the loans.
jburr36 1 year ago 2
We also used to pay for the majority of government expenses through import tariffs and other fees related to international trade but republicans eliminated those. Currently nearly half of all imports into this country are products made by american companies over seas. Profits are claimed overseas and losses over here. I paid more in taxes than the top corporations in this country. That's BS.
agasizzi 1 year ago
That's just it, corporations for the most part do not re-invest in brick and mortar projects, Low tax rates put the emphasis on investing in financial endeavors such as stocks, real estate, commodities, etc. All items that create nothing more than corporate wealth and giant bubbles that burst and crush those on the bottom that had nothing to do with it in the first place. I suggest you do some historical analysis and spend more time speaking intelligently than hurling insults
agasizzi 1 year ago
@agasizzi Oh and your spew about the corporations, what part of corporations do not pay taxes - those who buy the products and services of corporations do do you not understand. And what the hell do you think people do with money they get from investments? plant it in the yard and pour miracle grow on it hoping to grow a return? All investments have risks associated to it. And are you going to call the 100s of millions working class that have 401K and managed money market accounts greedy?
jburr36 1 year ago 2
@agasizzi You fail to realize that since the early 1990s most of the growth in the stock market occurred as a result of working class retirement plans. And the cause of the real estate crash rests at the hands of libtard politicians and agencies compelling banks with legislation to let people borrow beyond their means to repay it not to mention the federal government backed agencies guarantee the loans and bankrupt. The GOP tried to pass legislation years before to address serious issues
jburr36 1 year ago 2
@agasizzi only to be halted by the dems with Barney Frank at the time claiming that there was nothing wrong and the GOP were overreacting to a non-issue. Barney Frank even had to admit that he was incredibly 'mistaken' about the incident and recanted after the crash. So, I do pay attention to historical details. I suggest that you cure that disease called 'ignorance' before you hurt yourself or semone else with it.
jburr36 1 year ago 2
They don't pay taxes because we give them millions of loopholes, historically that's not how this country has functioned. Economics is not a zero sum game and to attribute that as being a liberal idea is incredibly ignorant. the idea that higher wages decrease the gains of the wealthy is a conservative idea. Progressives are the ones who continually argue that everyone can win in a fair system.
agasizzi 1 year ago
@agasizzi Again for the 100th time - according to the irs the top 15% of wage earners pay 95% of all income taxes while the bottom 50% on average pay no income taxes (due to what you call loopholes, dedeuctions, etc) and the bottom 10% get a 'Refund' entitlement in the form of EIC. When will the libtards demand that the bottom 50% pay their fair share of taxes? Also, historically government spending has always been below 20% of the GDP (3% from the 1700's to the late 1900's) and now it's
jburr36 1 year ago

If you are going to call walmart greedy you must also call every one of their customers greedy too for trying to save money.
jburr36 1 year ago
@jburr36 I'll call them greedy for supporting an evil institution.
