i have noticed that sometimes the doc has to cut the midline of the vagina.... for a bigger opening, do they do that to all women ? cuz that... that looks painful!!!

sometimes they do if the baby head is too big or the opening can't fit the baby. I agree with the pain thing! If that happened to me, i'd rather that doctor not tell me about it until i was leaving the hospital with my baby

yes it's called an episiotomy and a lot of dr's do it to speed up the process of birth. it's never really necessary. i had it done and i was so pissed. but i was too drugged up and only noticed the scissors after she did it.
