Anyway their is one option to those who just can't spend a full 300, buy a fake one, yeah I know I know its fake, made in china and all but my experience with my fake one is the same as your, had lots of cheap ones and then i got a fake BM42, and i love it. Love love love love it!!! it was priced at $50 and it was real 440C and sharp as hell!! What are your thoughts on fake ones?

Just got my Benchmade 42 in the mail last friday, and its everything that you said it was. Absolutely amazing... I can see why some people like the 42 more then the 32/51 now. The only problem I have though is that theres a lot of spots on my 42's handles where its a different shade then the rest of the titanium, and also the spring latch doesnt stay up straight..

@6HARIS Hi Hunny.... The 42 is TI and the 62 is SS. The 62 is 2 oz heavier and does not have a spring latch. They look similar but flipping wise they are totally different.

Well Mrs. X got me a little something green and gold recently, but that's not the one I'm referring to bro. The one I am talking about looks like my titanium Millie regarding it's blade and handle materials and colors! Man I love that matte or what I call "nude" titanium finish. No G10 on this one and I still love it, haha! It's my new favorite bali I think... still trying to decide on that though. I'll be showing it soon.

I do agree, the 42 is a beauty indeed... had to sell her though, Mrs. Morpho didn't get along with her as much, LOL. Actually I sold it to fund a firearm purchase... even though I like things that cut more than things that go BANG!

Hope they do a 67 (or whatever it would be) with that tanto blade... I'm buying them all this time regardless of whether I like them or not, LMAO! Just in case BM discontinues them again. HAHA!

I really like the 62, if they only would change the latch on it. I really dislike that latch, it look so cheap if you compare to the 40x series. I really don't understand why they didnt just use the same lock as on the 40x. I will probably get one the next winter, mainly because I need to spend my money on other things aswell as see if they will release any other "60x" balis with maybe other blade shapes and maybe the same lock and latch as the 40x (I really hope so!). @Xatlox Thanks for the comment man! I agree with what you say. I originally thought they didnt do a spring latch cause of the spacer but the spacer looks small enough that they could have fit a spring latch in there.

yeah i wish i got mine for that price. i wish they'd bring the old school sheath with the butterfly bali-song logo on it. mine was new in box so it's totally still lightsaber sharp and it's got the needle point. the polished blade looks good. overrated? no. overpriced, compared to original msrp? yep but screw it, you're getting a hell of a knife for the money. you think 42's are expensive? a pcc 403 with a 154cm blade and titanium handles in 1986 would've cost $1,265.00.
