  • @moley50000

    Thanks :)

  • I dont understand why youd breed a veil? THey arent a highly thought of veriation and usually come from petstores, were genetics other than color have not been put into consideration.Highly Respected breeders wont buy nor sell them, and wouldnt even consider using them in a breeding, And i hear theres not much of a market for bettas breed from veils.. That said they are lovely fry

  • @MzzSanka

Thanks, but here is the reason why. Veil Tail are the main core genetics of bettas, so you can work your way out of veil tails if you mix them with another tail type, i got crowntail from this spawn, still have a few left, so then i put the mom CT, with a Fry COMBTAIL Male and got around 50% crowntail and 50% combtail, so now the gene is stronger, and i will just keep breeding Crowntails, i got some super deltas as well. right now i got PLakats, CT, SD, RT, all of that.

  • Well I'm almost ready to put my two new Bettas in the breeding tank, I am still conditioning them. I hope to get some nice crown tails. Also, I thought that when you crossed the two you would get some Single Tails, and some Crowntails too.

  • @syketo

I hope you get some nice crown tails as well, i'm thinking about putting two combtails together to get 25% crown tails and 75% combtails but i'm not sure yet. When you breed a Male Veil tail with a Female CT it will be 100% combtails IMO

  • I'm glad to see you posted a video of your fry! :) They're so cute! I can't wait until mine are that old.

  • How cute!
