  • This sounds so much like a Pete Rock production. I always thought it was even after finding out otherwise. It just FEELS like it belongs to Pete Rock.

  • 1995 baby!!!! i was at Fort Hood, Texas bumpin this shit!!!! My girl just broke up with me and i was fellin kinda down, so i went to Killeen Mall, peeked in the record shop and saw the new Grand Puba tape (yeah, we was pushin tapes back then too!). Needless to say this joint was bangin', got me outta my funk REAL fast. Im like "This cat is killin' 'em, f**k dat ho ass bitch. Thanks, Puba.

  • sick flow

  • wow

  • this makes me wanna play basketball 1on1

  • Thumbs up if you played this tape in your car when it first came out, back in the 90s when we thought the year 2000 would never get there. 1995 NJ.

  • thumbs up if you ever called a song like this " BUTTER"

  • I was at a basketball camp in Indiana in high school the first time I heard this song. I was there from Toronto, and at that time, Mastermind's Hip Hop show on Energy 108 was where you went every saturday evenings...My friend had taped the show that weekend and we waited to get settled in our room to listen. When the top 5 came on this song was obviously number 1. When the song ends Mastermind comes on and cranks it a second time, using words like "butter" it was unprecedented. We jizzed.

  • i didnt even know this shit was on a video game. but its a flippin song. how can you get at someone for hearing this on a video game first? if they like it, they like it. its a good song, who cares how they know it? fistbump if you heard it from a game and dig it. thumbsdown to the haters.

  • Sounds nothing like Premo, sounds like a chill Pete Rock beat...especially with the xylophone, sounds like the same sample on PR's "I Got A Love" beat. Mark Sparks brought some heat with this one!

  • real...

  • iller than aids grand puba gets paid !

  • Just to clarify this sounds nothing like premo at all ever he does not sample like this ever and he would neversequence a hook like that he would scratch puba lyrics

  • fake...

  • @gexonas the fuck are you talking about

  • This is that real, take a long drive and forget your worries type shit. It takes us back to a time when life was simpler, outcomes predictable and we all had a feeling that tommorow will be better than today.

  • @loslabs Amen brotha,i feel the same way.

  • @loslabs You said it man. This song is so chill.. Really makes me feel good when I listen to it.

I played the shit out of the Tony Hawk games, and I don't even recall this being on THUG2. Then again I think that soundtrack blew for the most part so I kept it off completely.

  • @loslabs EXACTLY. Such a chill song.

  • CLASSIC SHIT MY DOO.........

  • I like it too Puba!

  • 4 people couldn't pull off a Kickflip McTwist while listening to this song.

  • @sleepyflip I like your style

  • @013jc look at it like it's another medium for expanding classic hiphop. of course most radio stations dont play these songs anymore, so how do you expect the later generations to experience it. yea, i heard it in THUG 2 for the first time and my taste for music has developed a lot due to some tony hawk games. sounds like you appreciate old school hip hop, if you do, appreciate the new generations for having new ways to get it out there

  • ...thumbs up if you didnt hear this from a video game...

  • @Crraabbmmaann Honest truth is, I heard it in Tony Hawks, BUT, i knew about real hip hop before then anyway, I was already bumpin Pharcyde, and Brand Nubian

  • @Crraabbmmaann who fucking cares where people heard it from you should be glad that good music like gets recognition

  • @Crraabbmmaann Chill bro. I'm 18 now and first heard this on Tony Hawk Underground 2 when I was like 10. Some video games exposed me to real hip hop at an early age and I'm thankful for that. Otherwise I'd most likely be a young money fanboy like most kids my age who don't know real music. lol

  • @CJThaSavage YO FUCK THAT YOUNG MONEY LIL JEEZY LIL YOUNG SHITHEAD SHIT DAWG YOU FEEL ME?!

  • Good old stinkbox.

  • THUG 2's rap tracks were tight. They used the classic stuff. The Rock tracks were questionable though...

  • i love it when he says, "i left 'em backwards, they thought they farted when they shitted."

  • don't know whose beat this is but this was my favorite joint on the album.

  • love this track

  • Produced by Minnesota.

  • Step one: first you grab honey by the waist

Step two: then you move at a ghetto pace

Step three: then ya look her dead in the face

Step four: now its time to leave this place

  • wow dj premier mad this? damn he is a fuckin beast

  • @neosouljazz No, this is Mark Sparks on the beat.

  • @neosouljazz Real talk

  • @neosouljazz i dont think he did, it dosent have his signature on it... his style is missing from it completely

  • @neosouljazz nah man mark sparks did this . premo sty;e isnt even like this.

  • Playing tony hawk games has more than influenced my ipod.

  • This is a classic and one of dj premier best beats. R.i.p. Guru

  • @Recognize2009 This isn't Preemo. It's Mark Sparks on the beat.

  • @UnknownsDarkSide It does sound a lot like a premo beat though. haha Especially the way the kicks sound. Could have fooled me.
