  • iv went with a NA 767 as well on year

  • guyana is so big all of those caribbean countries could fit in it ten time over or more

  • Man, that airport needs some desperate repairs.

  • GUYANA we born and grow

  • wow!!!! only bush as far as the eyes could see.weird!!! im from the bahamas BTW.

  • whoever filmed his film might be from guyana.

i hate white people coming to guyana taking pictures and crap

    polluting the land of guyana

  • i know, white man don't got to set foot on guyana, the bloody british already caused enough. PS im guyanese

  • 747 AND Airbus aircrafts can land on guyana runway but the only thing is the runway isnt strong enough to handle the weight of the aircrafts because it would crack and damage severly because the airport wasnt built to handle that much of a load but the Newly OGLE Airport which is currently in construction in Georgetown is becoming the largest airport in guyana with 4000 feet of runway and this can handle airbus aircrafts and other domestic flights to and from Gy the airport is to befinished 2011

  • I had heard something about some people wanting to make Ogle a port of entry and stuff, but didn't hear any follow-ups on the story. I really hope they do, I live very close to Ogle (UG road), and I'd love to wake up to an Airbus rattling my house. Plus I'm going to DCA in Florida next year, expecting to come back in 2013 if I get a job with an Airline flying to Ogle in Guyana I'd be right close to home xD

  • according to the authorites in guyana the airport will be finished in 2011 and yeh that would be great for ppl who lives in geo and and berbice an stuff saves them alot of time an money im going back to guyana in december this year i live in georgetown east la penitence partyyyy down there for christmas loll CARIBBEAN AIRLINES is the carrier.

  • yay! guyana rox!

  • To all the Guyanese watching this video;

Can you imagine what it must be like for all those white people coming to Guyana?

Haha, like "What? We're landing in the middle of a jungle? Wtmf!?"

  • i would just laugh they probally cant survive 2 days there. no offense to you white folks

  • nice one

  • true, abe guyanese can be there for all our life! IM GUYANESE

  • hehe

    dats what they sayin!

    guyana man?

  • nice one

  • dem white people must be crazy to go to guyana. lol, if they knew that it was the middle of the jungle all dem white people will be swipping dem AMERICAN EXPRESS card. they would be, f this im going to africa. LOL! GUYANA IS AWESOME

  • HEY GUYS IM GOING THERE Augest

7Th and i might put up a video

  • that is not a 767 lol 767's are too large to land in Guyana

  • you're wrong

  • maybe. last time i checked i went on a vacation in 2008 to south american and guyana was on my list, i was hoping to fly in on a 747 777 or 767 but those were not supported aircraft types because the runway is too short. but i could be wrong this was information from the tourist area i collected.

  • I can't blame you, but they do. Landing is no prob, a better question is how they get off o_O... but hey, they do it (maybe due to less cargo and luggage?)

As for 74s and 77s, I'd say no way...

    BUT

Keep in mind 777s and 747 land and take off from Princess Juliana intl at St. Maarten...

and their runway is shorter than ours (2,180m).

    Ours is 2,270m.

  • 74s and 77s don't land in Guyana, and they never will.

But I still wonder how they get off Princess Juliana intl. airport <_<

My best guess is low weight on takeoff (low passengers and luggage)

  • i actually just read that up... thats is very interesting since you pointed that out. i dont know why 747 cant land whatever the case is, in my mind i am thinking south america is like a 20 hr flight, but i was wrong on that too when it was just 5 hrs to georgetown lol i was actually shocked that north america to south america was so short of a distance

  • @FlightAttendant08876 the last time i went to guyana I flew on a 767-300er... plus I guyana airways 2000 used to be an Airbus300...

  • 767 and airbus aircrafts can land in guyana but the runway isnt strong enough to handle the weight of the aircraft but ogle airport is to be completed in 2011 with 4000 feet of runway in Georgetown to basically land anything in Guyana

  • is dis first class?

  • Listen to those wonderful GE CF6's

  • BEAUTIFUL RAINFOREST!!!!!! I wasn't even looking for an air plane video! I was watching youtube poops!

  • me too!

  • i went with caribbean airlines

  • North American gone out of bussiness

  • I Went in guyan with Delta is ah 767-300 And there 2 Size of North America ther The 737-200- and 767-300

  • Comment removed

  • It was a 767-300. It was used in place of the 757 that morning. I flew the 767-300 on North American to Guyana a few times already, usually during the high season or when the 757's were not available. FYI, Delta also used the 767's on a few occasions during the high season as well.

  • @alivewithpassion in 2007 i cam to ameica with that plane from guyana

  • sounds like north american airlines...

  • As the saying goes 'any landing you can walk away from is a good landing' lol

  • nice plane

  • Glad to see this; I love landing at this airport. I have come home... Does look like a hard landing, though. Had the same experience just a few weeks ago.

  • Oh boy, I can't for the moment when I'll be in the plane heading back to my home, family and friends.

  • Its a short runway for a 767. You don't mess around in Georgetown trying to grease it on.

  • Looks like u guys hit hard! lol
