I remember the DelRays opening for The Beatles at Busch, even though it's been 45 years. They were so lucky to have met the Fab 4. Tom Bowles gave John Lennoon a rubber chicken.
When this was recorded, the band was Thom, Denny, Barney, new lead guitarist Russ Bono, & the tambourine player (who was the lead singer on the A side of this record), sixteen year old Michael McDonald who went on to play with a couple of other bands you might have heard of. Rich & Jim had already formed The Guild when Terry Dugger got out of the Army & Thom & Denny preferred Barney as a drummer.
RIP Tommy "Blue" Bowles. A great musician and a wonderful friend. Had the pleasure of playing with in his later years. I think he remembered every song there ever was.

For some reason, I always remembered that.

The flip side, with Michael McDonald singing lead was, "Always Something There To Remind Me"
