  • Wank city at 4:08

  • This video is shot in Marble Arch West London..

    Proud to be a LONDONER!!!!!!!

    xxxo

  • @Galaxiebaker MORE COWBELL!!!

  • wow I was thinking that they'll fighting more and more.

  • esta cancion se parece a "Carmen" de ANYTHING BOX--->es igualita

  • ur one of the most underated artists of our time

  • You are an amazing artist! Never change your unique style!

  • Haha, great title for your album ^^

I think you got away with it.

    Also great song(s) ;)

  • @Galaxiebaker TR-808 cowbell.

  • dunno how to return comments on my mobile so gonna do it this way . even the track mastering yourself ? Wow thats hard im a home producer too so hence its turn me into a music geek lol

  • @mcveigh2k The EMI album was re-mastered but, yep, all my stuff since, I do myself. :-)

  • @JyotiMishra So when they re-mastered it, did you have to go in to their studio, record it all again?or did they just enhance (normalise?compress?) the original DAT recording?

    I Love your music btw!

  • @furryhat1 Oh no - just took the existing stereo master into Townhouse and they tweaked it slightly. Not much at all, to be honest! Certainly not remixing in any form. Home recording 14 years ago was already good enough for prime-time radio, no excuse at all now! :-)

  • @JyotiMishra Thanks for the info, I thought as much, I know you've heard it a zillion times but that track is just a work of Art, I never tire from listening to it and I bore very easily! really soulful and unique, amazing what the Individual can achieve (yes, im a Libertarian, haha!)

Thank you for being such an interesting artist, and an inspiration to us bedroom producers :)

  • @furryhat1 I'm a libertarian too, on the Chomsky / Proudhon side. :-b

Thanks for the compliments! I am a firm believer that artists must push themselves - if they don't care about their art, why should anyone else?

  • am i right thinking your woman etc was produced at home not in a studio if so wow perfect production

  • @mcveigh2k Yep, since 1991 (when WT stopped being a "normal" band with a drummer), everything I've done has been recorded at home. :-)

  • Hi. just wanted to tell you Your Woman is the best song ever created in the whole world. not exaggerating..& i'm too obsessed with it

  • @danfan876 Thank you!

  • I love your songs, Jyoti. I usually don't go for this type of music but this is an exception :)

  • @srlee1000 Thank you!

  • I'm so glad I rediscovered Jyoti's music. It's been a long time! Really looking forward to hearing the new material.

  • @TheLastYogurt Well, one of the new songs is up in vid form already, hope you've found it.

  • @pmdrodney Thank you!

  • You don't sound like a chick :p diggin it!

  • @pillowtalkbaby Lols, thanks. :-)

  • Jyoti, this song in my opinion is more of a love song. Thanks for posting!

  • this may be a weird question but i just have to ask... is that a man or a woman singing?

  • @tracemaster100 I'm a bloke! :-D

  • @JyotiMishra i suspected so. thanx :).

  • omg soooo beautiful, the song and the video!

  • @Laurajt86 Thank you! :-)

  • The greatest song from the greatest album ever made.

  • @DavidFullam Well, I don't agree since that album is obviously 'Computer World' but thank you for the flattery anyway! :-)

  • @JyotiMishra You're welcome! I can listen to Women in Technology till the end of the world.

  • what voice man...great

  • great band!

  • Comment removed

  • Women In Technology is still one of the greatest collections of music I have ever heard.

  • @tvdrpr Thank you!

  • You're my hero Jyoti!

  • It was filmed at Marble Arch in london

  • So where was this filmed? Great sound track and video is excellent!!! The lead actors give it their all...

  • pure genius, JM!

  • wonderful track and video ... sithee at indietracks

  • cute song

  • XD pffft people just start to watch! but this is a really good video, the music is brilent!

  • @sstarfire99 Thank you!

  • Thats a old skool drum machine sound!tr what ever!

  • lol 99,999 veiws

  • 100,000 now!

  • FL Studio?

  • lol , sounds a lil like it haha

  • I don't really see how anything can sound like a sequencer...not to mention it didn't even exist when this song was written...

  • @unriselyrical Well... there were sequencers at that time, like 15 years of sequencer history before this song, actually White Town's music was made in a sequencer controlling his synths, on the other side softsynths were in their first days, but there were some already!

  • crazy hot song and video... this song is old, flying time is sad and sucks.

  • impudicossssss!!!!!

  • @JyotiMishra you are the one crossing at 0:52 right? Man! I moved to Belgium, hope the offer for a free cd is still on! See you, take care!

  • Yep! Free CD? Remind me, dude, my memory is rubbish!

  • that's a really good video clip.. ^^

  • Jyoti, you are brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!

  • @HeathenLoveGod I second that. I SO love this song!

  • @RitzyTrailer Ta! :-)

  • This is a great video (and song). I enjoyed it very much.

  • I wish I could of been in this video.. Geez! Do you know his actor name???

  • No camera can make this guy look bad. He's perfect

  • This guy is sooooo hot!! I would never Argue with him !!!

  • Jyoti, its like you were doing what Postal Service is long before they were Postal Service.

And what ungoldly hour in the morning did you have to wake up to shoot this video so that no-one would call the cops for domestic violence, public indecensy in Marble Arch of all places???

    Good track.

  • Thanks for the compliment, I'm actually a big Death Cab and Postal Service fan! :-)

I didn't have to get up that early, the poor lead actors did, though!

  • wooo!! go Death Cab XD!! <3

  • @JyotiMishra :) do you know the lead actors' names?

  • @ilinaeternity Sorry, no. :-(

  • @JyotiMishra that's okay, you're amazing for replying. i never see celebrities like you replying to fans directly like that. just wondering, are you performing anywhere near boston??

  • The presence of the camera probably helped :-)

I haven't heard this in forever, since I lost my Women in Technology CD

  • Kinda reminds me of a new order song....

  • This was is probably my favorite track on the album. I remembering buying this album the day before I went to college and thinking that right off the bat this album is awesome

  • Epic win.

  • love, love, love!

  • One of the sweetest videos I`ve ever seen.

Congratulations! Women in technology is the first cd i owned and I keep listeing to it from time to time. THANKS!

  • ...Sweet!...

  • fantastic =)

  • those italians, i swear.. in the immortal words of jon stewart "love it"!

  • That's exactly how every argument should end: charges of public nudity and lewdness, not to mention accidentally being seen by your parents and boss.

It's not real love if you're not doing jail time! Frequently!

  • Ahh, great comment, thanks! :-D

  • haha...that was great man....hey jyoti....is it possible to find anymore white town tracks on youtube?

  • I've got one from my most recent album up, linked on my profile. I tried to upload the Super 8 film I made for my debut single (1990) but YouTube made it look like shite :-(

  • got any more hits on the way?

  • que buena canción, y el video es excelente

  • wow.that guy is so..y'know

  • Nice video.... nice song

  • It was a MP3 download, although I've Women in Technology as a CD. I actually thought Socialism, Sexism and Sexuality was your latest work. The release date for the MP3 version is 2007. I'm never the less glad I picked it up.

  • Hmmm... that's strange! When I uploaded the re-mastered version to CD Baby (who presumably distributed it to Amazon), I made sure it was tagged correctly as 1994.

Ah well, glad you like it! :-)

  • Love your music, just got Socialism, Sexism & sexuality from Amazon! And stumbled across your vids, fabulous

  • Wow, thanks for buying my first album - was it a download or the actual CD? If it's the CD, they're quite rare now.

  • Are you the same White Town that wishes he had hair like Alan Delon? He does have great hair btw.

  • Yep, that's me! That tune's pretty old-school, I think it was '91 or '92?

  • Its on the 'one last kiss..' compilation which has bands like lorelei, veronica lake, and the lilys on it. which is weird because i've never associated white town with that sound.

  • Oh yeah, I remember being on that. It's the first time I heard Magnetic Fields!

As for the genre thing - I get bored easily so I like just doing whatever I feel like. :-)

  • 1997?! That doesn't sound nor look that old. Good job

  • Thank you! :-D

  • let's pretend im the man for you

it will almost seem like nothing..

  • that was a great song. a shame white twon never had anymore hits. its not like you see his album kicking around any shops

  • Thanks for the kind comments! If you want to hear more of my stuff, please check out the link top right, under the subscribe button. :-)

  • very beautiful and expressive!!!!

  • Jyoti: Who came up with the storyline for this video, and were there any other mock-ups, or does this one specifically signify something about the song? Just curious...

Loving you as always - Ritzy.

  • Hey, I always liked ur music. Thanks for carrying on with the good work. Good luck!

  • Jesus Christ - still!

  • Errr... dunno why it's not working.

    HELLO! YOUTUBE?

  • Jyoti, love your music, dude. From 1989, you were awesome and you still are to this very day. It feels like I'm talking to a singer-songwriter of White Town. Keep up the good work. Mike.

  • it's not working for some reason

  • 1m40 <3

  • Sweet. Chrysalis records, huh...Babylon 5, much?

  • I just finished listening to the Women In Technology CD. I never tire of hearing it's gentle synth pop tunes. It inspired me to seek out this video, which I had never seen. It is very cinematic, and the end is sexy!

  • ROFL. Nick Drake wishes! Jyoti sounds like Jyoti Mishra.. it's unmistakeable!

  • Thank you that's a lovely compliment, redrock!

If I had a voice 1/1000th as great as Nick Drake (or Al Bowlly or Julie London), I'd be a happy man!

    -Karen-

  • i dun get what theyre fighting about but ok...

  • Where we should eat lunch actually! No, we made up sad break-up stuff. But we ran out of things to argue about after about 5 hours!(I'm the girl in this)

  • I love this!

  • What an extremely emotionally powerful video!! Coning to the decision to remove the layers that we "put on" to disguise ourselves from others out of fear of rejection..kinda like putting up walls to keep others out. Very deep.

  • Really I like a lot this song, and I didn't watch this video for years. The first and last time a saw this video clip for Undressed was in 1997 aprox in a local TV channel (In Peru). I've searched the web to find the video and I couldn't until you posted this great video at this site. I love it and I'm glad to watch it again!!! Big hugs

  • i've always love white town... ever since i was 6 and i heard 'your woman' for the first time... seriosly i can never get that song out of my head i love it that much for some reason... ^_^

  • dude, ui am addicted to that song, for the last weak it was the only song i listened to playback after playback lol. I thought sooner or later i would get bored of it but i just can't, that song is like food flavoring man...

  • Brilliant tune. Very emotional.

  • Btw...I noticed the McDonalds in the background...was that paid product placement?

  • Love the video! Jyoti is a genius!
