@maxakaaxam I was looking at it the same way, but my friend is a pro gamer (that is his job he does get paid well) and he told me where would never buy anything else. So i just got mine and 3 days so far is has smoked anything i have ever seen or heard. Also it is worth that much.

The thing that people fail to realize is, you can't have a great amount of bass such as an exposion and really think your are going to hear footsteps behind you while on the A40s there is not a great deal of bass, so you can hear a balanced 5.1 audio surround sound and no dampening.

Guys. I have had the Tritons, the Astros and the Turtle Beach X41's and the Turtle Beach is the best set by faaaaaar!! No wires, crisp surround sound and most of all the best bass. The Astros and the tritons had hardly any bass. TURTLE BEACH X41!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The selling point of the A40 is that it works with everything. PC, 360, PS3, iPhone, whatever. X41s are Xbox 360 only and cost only $50 less.

Nothing besides the speaker tags and maybe the headband part on top. Otherwise they're exactly the same. I know this comment was a month ago but MW2 isn't out yet and if you haven't found an answer elsewhere I wanted to let you know.

The mix amp is what makes it a deal. A lot of people just buy the mix amp and then use different headphones and a separate mic.

not really. these are better because of the quality you get. ax pro's are very uncomfortable and very very heavy on your head. i owned a set of them for 3 days and sent emm back and now im goin for these.

worth it if you want to be pro. Astro is more for like gamebattles and mlg type thing. X4's are more user friendly and more playing with your friends at home

a40s are where its at, by far. I started with TB, then moved to tritton, then finally to A40s, and by far these are the best.
