  • Just revisited this video and still find it so powerful - love your new directions AND still am moved by your old school moves! Now if I could just master those tree pinches! :)

  • @wabisabihoopa Thank you so much, wabisabi! : > Look forward to hoopin with you down the road!

  • Your body is beyond incredible.... I can see you take very good care of yourself.

    Rock on girly.

  • yeaaah!!!!! Ann killin it!! SO GOOD!!!

  • ohmigod.. CHECK OUT THAT BOD!! Jealoussss... I hope hooping does this to me too! haha

  • How many hours a week do you spin the hoop? All your routines are this energic? I think your the best hooper ever!

  • @vetelejos Thank you so much! Hooping is my life. When I started four years ago with my teacher (the best hoop teacher in the whole wide world-- his handle is jlbaxter on youtube) I practiced 2 hours a day every day. These days, I protect my joints by practicing every other day, anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Hoopdance is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

  • @hushpuppymix2 You are amazing! Hooping is also the joy of my life but Im new to all this. You are an inspiration! Thanks!

  • You are a freaking badass. I love it! Okay, so you have a 1/2 in. 31 in. hoop. Is it 125psi? Hooping has changed my life, too. I aspire to be as awesome as you!

  • My dear, you are incredible!!! Any advice for those of us out here trying to learn pinch reversals? My arms are getting pretty bruised up.

  • @opinion8td Oh my --so sorry it has taken me so long to reply! I'm so unused to checking my gmail account. Reverses are all about timing--that's the way to avoid bruises. If your timing is impeccable, you won't need to exert any extra force. To develop timing, practice noticing the rhythm of your hoop as it revolves around your core. Notice the moment when that 'sweet spot' where you make your second point of contact comes within reach of the hand you 'break' the rhythm of the hoop with.

  • great hooping...love the song too...very old school style... what is the height of your hoop?

    thanks

  • My hoop is about 31 inches in diameter.

  • great hooping....wow....what size is your hoop?...I know its 1/2 inch but what is the hoop height? I love the song...old school style....very cool

    Thanks

  • I used to use the 1/2 inch, but I can't find the connectors for it anywhere anymore :( and 3/4 is just too heavy for me

  • What song is this? It says like some kind of remix thats why I can't figure it out

  • It's Snoop Dogg "What's My Name"--not a remix that i know of!

  • I hope everyone realizes how beautiful, and hard to do this movement is. You are radiant and rough. You get it girl. I hope I can hoop it up with you someday..........

I am in a trance.. spectacular.....

  • can I ask what kind of hoop you are using, it looks so light

  • I make my own hoops out of 1/2-inch 125 psi irrigation tubing. I tape them with prismatic tape. They are very light!

  • this is just ridiculous delicious insanity... i can't stand it. i must have this...

  • We'll see you in Boulder! : D

  • This is badass!

  • Phenomenal Control! I am so very inspired! I look forward to learning and growing... and working with the likes of you. Gracias!

  • Thanks, BoBeena! I hope we make it to your area in the next year--we'll be traveling & teaching a ton!

  • That's awesome inspirational hooping! Wow! I better practice a lot more to get half as good as you. What a joy to watch! Happy hooping! :o)

  • was it supposed to hit the floor or was that an accident? if it was an accident, you played it off so smooth, this is awesome. :p

  • that was crazzzy!!! do you actually sit and work out a routine or are you just making it up as you?

  • breaks are the shit. Right on.

  • what are "First Tree Pinch Breaks"

  • A "break" is what we call it when we interrupt the hoop's rotation, as an element of style. You will see "first tree pinch breaks," a specific type of break, at :34, :37, 1:19 and 1:21 in this video.

  • yea ann! getchur hoop on, getchur hoop on, getchur getchur getchur getchur getchur hoop on! I'm TRULY interested in knowing more~ :) love, noelle

  • HOLY crap lol...thats really attractive :DDD

  • Yes, I marked this as a favorite too. Your musicality is wonderful and I love the way you stall back and forth, alternating between currents, first from the top, then from the bottom, then with a pinch of the arm. Brilliant Ann. Just brilliant.

  • Marked this one as a favorite. Simply unbelievable, Ann. I see you nearly every day and you continue to knock my socks off.
