  • You look like a little girl

  • @morri32 You are James May and Richard Hammonds love child.

  • @porknbeans2013 What bout the cosworth engine in a ford ka)old shape( ..and a 7.2 v8 in a classic mini? You Americans had shit power from your engines back in the day, the average 5 litre v8 would produce 2 to 300hp, us Brits got I think 170ish from the rover 3500 )think I've heard it was a Buick design though or something but still..we manufactured it

  • I think your intention is the greatest and i realy liked your video ;)

But i think you have to consider the light when you are filming (Like photography)

The sound is important 2. Try to use cotton on the speaker to filter the sound from wind.

But keep posting more for us to see ;)

    Tkx for sharing

  • Just fo yo info, the name has nothing to do with the airplane and the war and all that nazi feelings. The drivers side is on the wrong half, I like the car, I'm just about to buy one despite that it is British. Thanks fo the showing.

  • Just a punk stealing his dads car and has no clutch control

  • @justaaverageJoe thats fresh comming form an american

  • @morri32 Americans have more balls that Brits, we put the biggest engines possible in the smallest cars possible.

  • you say "or an MG" as if they were better than Triumph

  • Nice gay voice cunt. Trollin ftw

  • Hahaha!

3:27 - the art of car control!

    Proper gay.

  • Well Done

  • you look terrified

  • @blackpool321 i was only 13, i almost shat myself :)

  • A future Richard Hammond in the making, brilliantly mad!

  • @BobbieandSteveDooley ha ha, thanks :)

  • Did very well with the Top Gear mimic!

  • not to put you down but this is so lame a top gear fakenger....

  • Like the video man, just easy on the accelerator and you wont have to spin that wheel so quickly, its the same in my TR. Glad to see you're a Triumph nut too, Mikey

  • love the dirty sanchez stach

  • try again! be cool :)

  • Hey morri32, how old were you on this video? good idea anyway with this video .. .

  • @hvaskerderfordig i think i was about 13

  • @hvaskerderfordig So, . .your like 15-16? haha, well cool anyway .. i´m 16 and have just got contact to dealer who has a an exellent 74´spitfire. hope its in my garage soon.. where have you bought parts for the car?

  • Whilst trying to do clarkson what you accidently did was a fab impression of Griff Rhys Jones. You clearly put in some thought and effort which is good... at least give the car a bit of a run to warm her up before driving it 20ft tho cause most carbed cars run poor until warm and do some ADR and repost it so we can hear what ur saying :)

  • hahah 3:12 is funny :) Otherwise QI :)

  • Better get that back in the garage before Dad gets home.

  • @blockheadface no need, dad was there you dick head

  • @morri32 Hahaha settle down, big fella. I'm only joking around.

  • @blockheadface sorry mate, with this video, i cant tell which comments are good or bad

  • Nice..........fix the sound track a bit mate...........LONG LIVE THE SPITFIRE!

  • Feels like an intentionally abysmal South Park spoof of TG.

  • a bit shit but equally good as shit

  • this video was amed to be good, but it was poorly excuted by the sound problems.

  • Dont be bothered with the negative comments.. your video is really funny.. keep it on the road!

  • @SCO01 thank god theres someone who likes it :)

  • Comment removed

  • @morri32 They are just jealous.. :) I have a mk2, do you still have the car? Btw you really described the car well! Its only a spitfire, but it is british motoring history!

  • You mean AsTON not AsTIN @ :24

  • I STILL REALLY HATE YOU.. ANNOYING LITTLE CLARKSON ARSE LICKER

  • @spyonthesoftparade lol, you must be really desperate to get a point through if you made another comment ten minutes since your last one loser

  • why are you so annoying?

  • buy a razor and shave the pubes off your lip. stop trying to talk like jeremy clarkson and dont take a car for a test drive for 10 yards then say 'that was fantastic!' fuck off you twat.

  • @gildo93 look mate, I did this when I was i pubesent little tosser so I dont need some complete faggot to tell me I'm a twat so stick your commet up your fat arse, cos to be honest, I really don't care

  • buy a razor and shave the pubes off your lip. stop trying to talk like jeremy clarkson and dont take a car for a test drive for 10 yards then say 'that was fantastic!' fuck off you twat.

  • @gildo93 plus, no I do not talk like clarkson you wankshaft!

  • your a shit driver get a lience first before you crash your grandads car hahaha and a better mic

  • your facial expressions crack me up when you drive...good video

  • what a bender!

  • i just got a 69 850 spyder. awesome car

  • did you steal your dad's car when he was at work??!!

  • Cheeky fucker.....Just cos its a Leyland dosen't mean it will drop to pieces in 5mins.....Its still goin after 30years...see if any suzuki car is worthy anything after that long.

  • what a wanker!!!!

  • Nice video, glad to see a younger guy with some respect for an older car. I drove one as a student for 7 years as a daily driver, including a couple of Canadian winters. Lots of good memories! I can't recommend changing from a single carb to twin carbs enough though, biggest improvement in power ever!

  • I think they look fantastic.

The mk1's do look better than the 1500's tho.

I've had mine for 5ish years and it's been fantastic, absolutely bullet proof.

  • The video was posted a while ago... you got it on the road yet?... are you a member of the TSSC??

  • that was really really bad. I love that a younger guy likes the spitfire, but tat video is just.....not well done. also...should you be driving? i mean, do you have a liscence?

  • Great car, but for just general motoring I'll take a Morris Minor......much more reliable.

  • i agree

  • How do you figure?... the small chassis triumphs are pretty bullet proof mechanically. and the engines are the best part, I don't see for a second why you'd think that a Morris Minor would be more reliable. If you said Honda Accord, mabe you'd have a point!

  • @pavelow235 reliability would be very similar with lucas distributors,su carbs, drum rear brakes (discs on front of spit) weak gearboxes (both) and average for the time pushrod engines. and the spit does not have the unreliable electric petrol pump of the minor.

  • Untaxed since August 1987... when are you getting it on the road!!!

  • Nice video - could use a voice over for the in-car talking. But over all great video.

  • lol... You can buy Triumph Spitfires for under $2,000.00 US fully running, and under $1,000 needing a bit of elbow grease. Very cheap cars. I own three, and I've spent less than $10,000 buying all of them and restoring them to showroom condish.

  • aww man your shitting yourself when your driving hahah

  • i just bought a 78 spitfire. in love with the car and in love with the show Top Gear. i'm trying hard to let you not distroy both,. dont try anything like this again.. please

  • SHitty

  • Arse

  • I loved you movie. Nice job!

  • I used to drive my spitfire like that. At about your same age I was. Then, one evening I had a few beers and went for a drive....and really learned to drive her. Amazing little car it was...

  • oh really well at least the triumph has miles per gallon not yards per gallon and an american car is fit for american roads but european cars are fit for all roads

  • omg dude ur driving sucks and you need 2 learn 2 shift and the car needs paint like bad an american car is much better lets see that little thing beat a 67 mustang or a corvette i doubt it could even beat a mazda miata

  • it would annihilate a mustang or a corvette round a circuit. plus youd have to be a millionaire to afford the petrol for a yank tank.

  • Enjoyed your film . Put the camera clamp on the car bonnet is worth a try . Have a look at my film OUT AND ABOUT IN THE MGB . It is not bad , not as good as your film though ha .

  • i agree its a good film

  • Looking slightly like a kid who's just walked for the first time. Unsure yet amazed.

  • can you even drive?? you have to look at the speedo and the gear stick and just look generally incompetent with the car

  • younger at the time, my other stuffs better

  • you're shit

  • @hoylakehopper this bloke is worse than the dog shit i stood on last week he is a prick and should shave

  • we all stole the car at 14 and snuck it back, without getting caught, but hell not all of us had the ball sto record it and make a show out of it!! I had a Triumph Super GT with V-6 Ford Capri engine in it, the thing was an evil monster, you could smoke the tires through 4 gears, I almost lost my license over it.

  • You look like the bastard love child of Richard Hammond and James May. Lovely car.

  • Did your dad know you were playing with his spitfire outside ?

  • You've got the music spot on!

But what are you on about it doesn't have the looks?! It's a beautiful car.

  • good vid, your driving is terrible though! sorry!

  • i'm a proud owner too, and found this video very amusing :) the lines you said could've easily been Jeremy Clarkson's :) Although the camera work is far from as good as the top gear tests of course :) But well done!

  • jesus christ!!!! Put on your seatbelt, do you even have a licsence? I bet its your dads car. sort the mic out and look at a real video, mine!

  • Its to bad triumph really built a crappy motor for this car. The 1500 didnt have any real cam bearings and real weak cam springs. Our 1500 made 40K then needed a total rebuild. One whole cam was wiped and pushrod bent. Good old triumph! Im looking to get a gt6 now. Thats a real triumph!

  • haha, loved it!

    typically top gear style!

  • Good lad...I got one for my 18th birthday in 1981...I loved it more than life itself. I've got a 911 C4S now and it doesn't bring me 1% of the pleasure my Spitfire did. I was the god of Brighton.

  • well done kiddo, Good job. This is how Jeremy, James & Richard got started 100 years ago.

  • Because its a layland it will fall apart in 6 weeks. LOOOL ,am loved that comment. ^^

  • ack well what ever makes people happy. not a fan of british cars as 99% of them are just plain rubbish. a different video, which is a good thing i suppose, well done for being abit original man.

  • does my middle finger belong to you mate?

  • no thanks but your mum does

  • joeistheking0? more like joeisthearsewipe0

  • LOL at least you where honest. British cars are fun to drive and unique on the road that about sums up British cars. "If you change gears fast enough" LOL.

  • quiet true

  • That one looks a good sight better than the old mkIV banger I drove for a while. My gripes were the Herald based low geared steering and the severely whining diff - 100dB @ 55mph is no fun hence my use of earplugs when I drove it.

  • haha he looks shit scared behind the wheel!

  • at one point i did when i pulled out of that parking space and almost hit the fence!

  • that was great!!! im a very proud owner of a spitfire so i can understand ahah Great work
