funny, i just ran my mate in his rx8 in my standard ssv ute, he had a few upgrades to his tune n fuel.. guess who won ;) ill admit he kept up orite at the start up until 90 although still was never in with a chance, but after that he might aswell have packed it up..

buy ur rotar, lets run ;p although i do love my rotars aswell nothing compares to a v8 rumble..

New Auto's are 6 speed and well advanced over sluggish auto's of the past. Sure as a purist a manual is great but for everyday driving the auto is better and would suck the doors off the manual. You try racing a WRX through the Black Spur (winding hill roads) in a manual and you will be embarrassed. The auto is intuitive and adapts to driving. ie will change down when you break hard and will hold lower gears longer anticipating u to punch it out of slow corners. trust me.

Its a 2.5 inch x-force exhaust in stainless steel including the Headers. No drone, its fantastic. Chuck it on the Sport Wagon then post a vid. It will be great.

Mate...beaaaaautiful ride! :) Just a question...I want to put a pod filter on my VZ SS ute. I aint too experienced with this stuff, plan is to simply remove the old airbox and filter, and slide the pod over the existing MAF pipe (With MAF sensor still on of course). Is that what you did? ANy help would be awesome :)

Thanks buddy. I'm not an expert but I think you would need to replace your existing maf pipe in order to position a pod filter properly. I had mine fitted by the guys that did my exhaust (JHP vehicle enhancements in Nunawading)

Correct. My blurb says, "essentially". I felt an essay on the difference was unnecessary since they are largely cosmetic. The exhaust and CAI give the SS more power than the Clubby so it really just lacks the better brake package.

This car regularly tow's a 2 tonne boat, hence, the hitch. Hitch probably weighs less than the extra weight you yanks carry round the guts too LOL. Back to the research tho pal as the Aussie VE and the Yank G8 both have 362 HP (270kw) and 530nm torque. However, only in Aussie do we get clubsport versions and the top of the line GTS with 412 HP (307kw) stock from factory. My car will have considerably more than the stock 362 HP thanks to the mods.

No doubt M3 amazing vehicle, however, at $165K (new 08) there is a high opportunity cost. Alternatively could buy the VE SSV ($50K), buy a 5.5m fibreglass fishing boat with 175hp 4 stroke outboard ($60K), then buy a 2006 turbo diesel Landrover Discovery ($40K) to pull it. Then with the left over cash head down to the local strippers with mates for lappies and beers :). That said....M3 is a wet dream. nice ride, happy motoring.
