  • This helped alot! Thanks <3

  • Thank you! YOu just answered a question I've had for along time about these reds.

  • thanks so much for this video! :))

  • i think russian red is better for fall/ winter and ruby woo is better for spring and summer. cause its dryer in winter and humid(er) in summer..

  • i was going to get ruby woo which was recommended to be by MAC but i like a creamier formula so maybe i'll get russian

  • @invincible221 For sure get Russian Red if you want a creamier texture. You might find Ruby Woo to hard and you will be disapointed. Thanks for watching!

  • Thank u that was very helpful:)

  • I have warm undertones, would ruby woo be better since it's a truer red and has less blue undertones?

  • @MissusFingerBottom Thanks for watching! I have warm undertones too and I think both lipsticks work. They are pretty similar. I think the textures are the big deciding factor. Ruby Woo is almost a clay matte where Russian Red is a bit creamier. If you wear vintage looks go for Ruby Woo...if you just want a nice red lippie go for Russian Red.

  • @crunchycrayons Great choice! You will love it!! :)

  • @crunchycrayons LOL! Which lipstick did you like better?

  • SO helpful, thank you!

  • @Lu31cons Glad you liked it!

  • what a lovely lady: thankyou that was a great video

  • @whichypoohs Aww thanks for the compliment! I appreciate it :D

  • This was so helpful! thank you

  • @graceadeline1990 You are welcome! Thanks for watching :)

  • great review! <3 would love more of theese reviews, of mac lipsticks, subbed ! <3

  • @formakeuplovers Great suggestion! Thanks for subbing :)

  • i recently purchased ruby woo and i loooove it (check out my recent tutorial) however i now want russian red cause of the texture. dont get me wrong i like the rubywoo matte texture...but a lil creamyness would be nice/. also.. how about MAC red.?

  • @realfam1969 I think Russian Red is great for creaminess so you won't be dissapointed! I haven't tried MAC Red yet so if you buy it let me know what you think! :) Thanks for watching!

  • Great vid! Ruby Woo it is. Thanks!!!

  • @1LADYNITA Good choice! :D

  • what lipstick will look good on tan skin? please reply ! and i loved your vid !!! goood description ! :D

  • @rockonmakeup If you mean between the two MAC reds both will look good but Russian Red is easier to use. If you mean in general...nudes, pinks, red, corals all look good on tan skin. It's just what you prefer to wear! :D

  • @makeup707 Thanks! and thanks for watching :D

  • I was choosing between the two today and Ruby Woo was soooo difficult to put color on my lips. It took forever. I asked if the lipstick was old but they said no its just like that. I decided to go with Russian Red bc it didnt take as much effort to put on and still gave a nice matte, non bleeding color.

  • @candipoox I agree...it's really about the texture more than the color. But both are such nice colors. Russian Red is a great choice! :)

  • Thanks for posting...very helpful! I love both colours, but which would you recommend for warmer skin tones? Btw, both look GREAT on you;)

  • @liquidbutta18 I think I have a warm skin tone and I like both but just to help you out I would say Russian Red...but both are great!!! You'd love both colors but the textures of the lipsticks are the main factor (I think)...I hope this helps some!!! :D

  • Which one do you recommend for a fair to pale skin tone? Russian Red or Ruby Woo or maybe Mac Red? :D

I'm going soon to the mac store for my birthday and I have to pick 2 eyeshadows and 1 lipstick. I'm soo exited. I'm gonna get Naked Lunch and Carbon and then one of those two lipsticks :D (I'm thinking of Ruby Woo because I love Vintage :D)

  • @DeSmurfen125 Happy pre-Birthday! :) First, let me say that you won't be sorry with Russian Red or Ruby Woo. I would swatch them on the back of your hand so you can feel the texture and so you can see how it looks on your skin. But Ruby Woo is lovely and would look great on pale skin. Plus if you love vintage it gives you a very authentic look. Also for eyeshadows you might want to swatch shroom and all that glitters too! But your picks are great! :D Have fun at MAC!!

  • Thanks.. This was very helpful!! I am going for Ruby Woo!!

  • @nordstrom16 It's a good one! You can't go wrong with Ruby Woo :)

  • i love russian red

  • @MSJIGGLY2U It's such a great color! Thanks for watching :D

  • thank you soo much! ive got ruby woo- love the color - and thought it is veery drying o my lips. i will try youre suggestion of thin layers and blot...

  • @58keshiaify Oh I'm glad you liked the video :) Try putting a thin layer of lip balm on first then blot. Then put thin layers on and it should feel a bit better and stay on for a while :)

  • Hmmm I'm leaning more towards ruby woo just because I DO NOT like reapplying lipstick all the time since I eat and drink snacks a lot, and it'll save more product!

  • @basicbooknerd Ruby Woo is great for that. If you apply thin layers and blot each time it will last for a long time! I was shocked how transfer resistant it really was once applied that way! Let me know what you think if you decided to get it :)

  • very helpful...2 thumbs up!!

  • @MSLOVETHAANG THANKS!!! :D

  • great video. thank you!

  • @kimberly1904 THANKS! I'm so glad you liked it :)

  • This video helped me a lot! Thanks! :D

  • @jessijadore Oh good! I'm glad it helped :) Which one would you pick between the two?

  • @newpollutiondesigns Color/texture wise: Russian Red. I do like the fact that Ruby Woo is more matte, though.

  • @jessijadore You can't go wrong with Russian Red :)

  • Thank you so much! This was just what I needed. Still having a hard time picking which one I would like to buy the most but after this video, I'm leaning more towards Ruby Woo. I def put thumbs up for this video. :)

  • @Tululah THANK YOU FOR THE THUMBS UP!!! Well both are beautiful colors but maybe this might help you. If you use Ruby Woo you most likely need to apply it with a lip brush because it is more clay and dry and more of an authentic vintage formula whereas Russian Red you can just apply it from the tube. Also Dita Von Teese wears Russian Red and Gwen Stefani wears Ruby Woo. Both amazing ladies so if one suits your style more go towards that one! :)

  • thank you for this!!!!

  • @ERICASTYLE No prob! Glad you like it :)

  • Thank you! Very helpful video!

  • @XObarbarellaXO You are welcome! I'm glad it helped:)

  • good to know! :)

  • @eshutchison THANKS!
