Above and beyond the recordings, which are superb, this was a voice that was at its very best in the theatre, where its size and impact were beyond compare. Her understanding of text was wonderful. Just listen to her Divinites du Styx elsewhere on You Tube and you'll see what I mean. She will be missed but we have her recordings to give us solace. Adieu Madame.

Rita était Belge, elle me manque déjà, malheureusement sa disparition est casi passée inaperçu dans notre pays. Ses airs d'Orphée et Eurydice sont indémodables.
