Each Opportunity created can optionally have a set of Milestones applied. These are used to guide a sales person through a series of steps - and can then also automatically update the Opportunity to show the progress against the Milestones.
A user can update the Milestones through the Opportunity form – progressively updating the progress of each Milestone and flagging it as complete when appropriate.
Also, Templates of Opportunity Milestones are created and configured within the Pivotal CRM solution by an administrator with the required security permissions.
