  • That shit is kinda scary because you don't know what could happen when you hear that sound. It looks clear there but just wait for it to get dusty and the wind gets stronger. Once you hear the rumbling close by, you are pretty much screwed.

  • @pedromoratalla Of course I knew a storm was coming, but i almost always do these videos whether the storm has arrived yet or not

  • DO you live in the plains carexpertandy

  • @Aznfat901 IDK

  • @model2siren But then it was repaired, and converted to a 4/5 port 1000T! :D But its due to be replaced this year sadly :(

  • @model2siren

Well it had been going for about 10 months like that then it stopped

  • Lol you can hear the birds i bet their like holy shit whats that! Get to cover!

  • Nice video! I love the sound of tornado sirens. I have a 2t22 in a nearby city where my dad works. The city also has a 2001 SRNC which is located outside the Hobby Lobby store in Spartenburg, SC.

  • was this on the 3rd? the outbreak from the m.w. central planes to the eastern seaboard? that was a fun week (i say that sarcastically, mainly b/c we scaredy cats in md/dc/va had ef0 and ef1 on the 4th).

  • Yes, this was on June 3rd, in the Cincinnati, OH metro area.

  • what part of town are you in in this video?

  • Finneytown

  • It sounds scary lol :S

  • I thought I heard a 550 AT in the background but I know it is not.

  • Great video Andy. Sounds like the 1000 is in attack mode. Probably a controller problem.

  • Its definetly not in attack. Those are really short wavers, and really long cycles. It was having problems with that chopper, I guess it burned out, because it's a 1000T now, and I found out today.

  • so, for clarification, the winding down 1000 is the one on Whitaker Elementary that is no longer working?

  • correct. the county knows, but it seems like they've checked it, but haven't repaired it yet. they said they will repair it, and when they order replacements, it sounds like it will be one of the first to be replaced

  • I feel bad for that 1000. I hope Clayton can

    check on it

  • Right after they were finshed sounding for warnings, I saw what position it ended up in. A few weeks later, I noticed it was in a different position, which makes me think he probably knew from the county what it was doin, so maybe he checked it out. One time before, he was there to fix the rotator, so how many problems is this 1000 having?

  • Your area has awesome sirens. Awesome video. :)

  • Thanks. I'm sure you also saw BellyJae's video, she filmed them the same time as me. They went off the next morning too, but I didn't want to film them, because I was too tired to grab my camera, and I was gonna film a siren if they tested them later, which they didn't. BellyJae filmed them though, and went through the same test cancellation experience.

  • wow andy..that was different..but i didn't know you had a account

  • Who are you?

  • wow i was in kentucky atm and i remember i was in an apartment and i saw debree forming over a river and me and my family rushed down.

  • Yeah, I remember hearing about a tornado somewhere in Kentucky that day. Did you ever hear any sirens down there?

  • no but i was very scared lol i couldnt think strait. i looked at this because it was a landmark in my mind lol and stuff like wood and railings were flying around so we rushed to the safest point

  • Nice vid. It's nice to hear the real deal... when no one gets hurt...

  • Thanks. Very rarely, people get struck by lightning. There are also possibilities that a tornado could happen.

  • Neither of those. It's probably a brush problem, just like what you recorded one time.

  • thunderbolt 1000 could be winding down in alert

  • It is. I'm guessing it has a chopper problem. I've heard it wind down in alert during our monthly siren test.

  • What was that whispering at the beginning?

  • Man those sirens sound scary in the background. Why does the 2001 keep winding down then very quickly winds back up?

  • That's the thunderbolt 1000 winding down a few times. It may possibly have a chopper problem.

  • Oh ok.

  • The 2001 could be in attack mode.

  • How many times am I telling you people, that's not a 2001 winding down a few times. It's the thunderbolt 1000. It's really going off in alert, so I'm guessing it has a chopper problem. I've even heard it wind down in alert during the monthly test before.

  • Could be the brushes connecting to the copper. That's happened before in another video.

  • Which video?

  • I sent you an email. I can't send you links in a comment. GRR.. YouTube security features..

  • very eerie

  • How is this very eerie?

  • because it is

  • Today is Wednesday 6/4, and they went off for this same purpose again this morning.

  • yup! And i filmed it. Glad i did, some sirens kept sounding after they shut them down.

No, i've heard nothing about the tornado in Anderson.... hey was your cell phone not working last night? Mine had no connectivity from like 4pm until 10ish.....

  • seriously kinda odd.

  • That's a thunderbolt 1000 you hear winding down a little bit. I don't know why it's doing that. There are no Modulators in my area.

  • I'm used to the one in White Oak on the broadband towner on Cheviot. That is one NOISY siren, to say the least.

  • Do you know the make and model of that siren?

  • I have a buddy that lives right next to it and he's into sirens. I'll get back to you on it. I'm just intrigued by the locale of these vidoes because it was very familiar to me for years. But, yeah, I'll get back to you on the make/model if he knows.

  • I went by the tower today, and I didn't see a siren up there. But I did see red light at the top.

  • Ooooooh, i didn't know you lived in Cincinnati too! Sweeeet. I also recorded the sirens going off. Fun day today, lets see how Wednesday pans out....

  • I told to you that I live in Hamilton County in your video with them going off on the 4th or July!

  • I'm slow. I guess I thought you were 2 different people, har.

I got them going off this morning too, did you?

  • I heard them, but I didn't film them. Did you hear there was a tornado near Anderson?

  • alot of thunderbolts, alot of 2001 and a T-128

  • That's quite a collection of sirens going there.
