  • nice!

  • where'd you buy the G36 ?

  • @OnTheSpotTech2 Hobbytron(dot)com.

  • do you know where i can get cheap airsofts for filming in Canada/shipped to Canada?

most websites are really cheap but only sell to the US, or they are super expensive to ship here

  • I like the gas fired pistol idea, it definitely gives the average film maker the edge. If you want a cheap consultant, ask the ROTC kids at the local college. In my experience they are happy to work for beer and pizza... and have the real McCoy on hand. Your rifles work, but a few real deal M14's would make for a serious feather in your cap. Regardless, bravo and thanks for the awesome YouTube channel!

  • Great videos, and blog, overall. I also LOVE the frugal Christmas tree! :)

  • I have a g36c but with side rails

  • Your tips to add realism to a film are extremely helpful. And the concept of firearm and trigger discipline is real important to add realism especially when someone well trained and proficient in firearms is depicted in the film.

  • I love. This show is very well done. Simple and imformative.

  • Great stuff. i've been looking to pick up a G36 airsoft gun. Did you have any links to buy that one from amazon?

  • How about an RC car camera rig? :)

  • Thanks for the advice. I love all your videos and tips, they are very appreciated.

  • Your hair... it's so much more. It makes you look younger.

Thanks for the vid. I've been wondering what a spring pistol looks like when used and you solved that.

  • Great Vids man, i appreciate the time you have taken to show all of your DIY ideas and helpful recording tips. With the weight of the grenade, even a dud you will want to lob it. You wouldn't want to throw like a baseball. Ive had people tell me from real war experience that you can tear a rotator cuff. Just something to add! Keep up the awesome work. I have successfully made some of your DIY camera gear! Thanks again!

  • i can't find a new gun for 5 bucks to save a young pandas life! i have been able to make a small collection of guns getting lucky finding broken air-soft, i only paid for one of my guns, 20 bucks for a gun that costs in store 130$, its missing the clip so I'll probably have to shell out anther 20$ to make it function , you sitting there waving around a 50 dollar gbb, makes my deal not seem as great ... your gbb is plastic though wasn't it?

  • More hair gives you ten years less in age

  • just to let you know, pricing in canada is way different due to import regulations (citizens cant import them, they get confiscated) that little $5 gun you got, 30+ here. that $50 g36, 80+ but probably more. it sucks

  • There's also an electronic blowback type of Airsoft guns (which runs on batteries and when you pull the trigger, it actually electronically simulates the blowback). The drawback on the electronic blowback is that there is a slight delay in between pulling the trigger and the blowback itself (I have a FN-57 electronic replica I picked up that I plan on modifying to turn into the "Battlestar Galactica" service gun seen typically on the show. And mine does this).

  • @codebreaker2001 FYI - The pricing on them is somewhere between the $5 for the spring and $50 for the gas. I paid $30 for the FN-57 electronic blowback airsoft I got (and I only bought it because there is no spring or gas version available).

  • Did you have fun playing Jim's Dad in the American Pie movies?

  • my job is to bring replicas into movies.. so yep, it works! :D the main tip i can give is to replicate a real setup (like the light under the g36 @ 5:05 is totally fake) and to make a big post production edit, expecially if you want to show the cycle of the gun.. i hope this may help.. keep going, because this channel is awesome! :D cheers!

  • Thanks! Great tips! We'll be sure to use em'

Check out our channel for some cool action and comedy short films! :D

  • I see you have the FF Christmas Tree too! I like it! Way to save cash & space. Your gal at 5:50 and 6:00 violates the finger on trigger rule. Maybe it should be "No Woman's Land" - just joking. If any of your viewers is filming a serious movie (not a just for fun) that they have someone who is actually trained with firearms be on-site during filming to review this stuff. Errors in safe handling (finger, muzzling your buddies) really bother me. Love your show though - Nice tips!

  • @pilanceboil Well that's embarrassing! You'd think I'd pick clips that would better illustrate my point! You're absolutely right, though, a consultant is always the way to go--if you can afford one. If not, it's just another hat to wear. Apparently, mine fell off.

  • @thefrugalfilmmaker You're right - SHE should be embarrassed - we know you chose those clips just to test us ;)

  • @pilanceboil I did my wepons handling test 3 years ago and boy do they get mad at you for the little things :P but it all helps knowing what to do when you do your film making

  • @TakingHippo Yep. I'm surrounded by pros, and it is contagious. One of my friends has been known to deck people who muzzle him. He does this without warning, he says if the firearm had discharged and hit him he would have had no warning, so POW! I don't take it that far, but I don't choose to hang around people who don't have respect for a weapon or don't handle it properly. Added benefit is that I can make more realistic films. Woo hoo!

  • nice man

  • "If you get hit in the head, that would hurt." LOL! I bet it would..

  • First! This show is awesome!
