Whenever I think about the idea of "musical integrity" I think of Me'shell. I like some of her albums better than others, but I always appreciate her approach and her honesty as a musician. A rare breed these days, to be sure...

It's taken me maybe 7 years to get to this point, but after everything I listen to, Me'shell is always the bass player i come back to. Something in her music is just touches something deep inside me. I listen to crazy jazz with people playing four hundred notes a minute, but her feel just gets me. She has soul, man. Real soul. Her music is funky and intimate and sad and sexy. It's beautiful. Thanks for everything.
