Awesome layout!! Love the dense urban scene going into mountain scenery, all the detail!! Love the Kato road crossing, even though it doesn't work with DCC.
I'm about to start mine, and I get a lot of inspiration from yours!
@pacbelt Thanks so much for your kind compliment. I'm glad my layout is a source of inspiration to you. Constructing a layout can be a very rewarding but sometimes frustrating experience if things don't go exactly as planned. The key is to learn from any mistakes that may occur along the way but never get discouraged. Good luck with your layout!
Dude, very cool video and awesome layout! I am just getting started in this hobby and am looking forward to posting videos sometime in the future. Thanks for sharing!
@Screwjackvideos Thanks for the nice comment, I appreciate it! Good luck with your layout. YouTube is a great way to share your hobby accomplishments with others!
@trackspike64 The trackside block signals I used were by Model Power and they each came with a pre-wired switch that is manually operated. I did not use any automatic sensors on these.
@trackspike64 Thank you! I had a previous layout, the "Scenic and Relaxed" also from the Atlas book, that had a summer theme with all green foliage. With this layout I wanted to try something different so I went with an autumn theme.
@Rochsub Thank you! Yes it is. The layout is comprised of two sections. One-half of the layout is the Gulf-Summit/Susquehanna Valley Ry. from the Atlas book. The other half is an extension of the outer loop of the GSSV which runs around a bustling downtown area.
Very cool. You have some really neat shots. I especially like the tracking shot as you follow the engine, and the low angle shot where there is another train in the background. What did you use for the audio backing track? It work very well.
Oh, I like that CN SW switch engine (3:55).
Got to get one (or many) of those for my layout. Sweet.

@MMODoubter The switch engine is an SW1200 by Life-Like. They really are great little runners. I see them pop up on ebay every now and then.

Excellent video and very nice layout. Is that the track plan from the Atlas 9 layout book?

@krohawk1 Thanks, Steve, I'm glad you like it! The music comes with the movie program. There are dozens of musical selections from which to choose.
