  • im 135 lb fighter and i got a 400 lb tire i use for these reasons. good vid

  • This is why amateurs should not be making training videos. This is how you tear your bicep. Your feet and hips should be way back, chin on top of the tire, chest against front of tire, and you push through the tire at an angle, Not deadlift it straight up and then push it. You got away with it crappy form because that tire does not even weight 300lb. Trying using this form on a 1000lb tire. Good luck. Video watchers beware.

  • @yyportne I laugh, thats funny 300lbs guess you where there when I got both on my tires weighed right? look you look at so of the top strongmen in events use similar form with the bicep go on there page and tell them there wrong. Many different variations to flip a tire as I mentioned, just as the deadlift you sumo, conventional, hips above knee, or the squat deadlift which I like. I never torn my bicep maybe because my biceps are strong enough from weighted pull ups. 300lbs laughing.....

  • @yyportne

  • Yeah, this is the reason people tear biceps.

  • Sorry, but this is exactlly how you should NOT flip a tire. Deadlifting a tire (like in this video) only works for light tires. A better technique is to get lower, put your feet back more and push into it at a 45 degree angle.

  • @mensacyclist

There a different variations of flipping a tire, just as there is in the squat. I use a variety of different start lifts for the tire. One being the sumo similar to the sumo DL, the focus being glute rather then quad, if I want to hit only anterior, I'll drop my chest on the tire like a 4 point stance then flip it. This video I show how explosive my posterior chain is. Any other questions

  • good video

  • good way to strengthen your sprawl

  • i have to use my knees to flip it cause my tire is to heavy lol

  • Just go hit up junkyards and vacant lots. I got three of them for free.

  • how is this a "proper technique" ??? that tire is maybe 400..which makes it possible to flip it with ease...thats it.

  • the tire is over 500 lbs and I have another that is 700lb

  • Comment removed

  • @Cambria2007 Proper bc it shows how to lift without injury.

  • @aquaphone no, It shows how to lift with explosive power. once the tire gets in the 800 lb range and above (actual tires used in competition) this one movement technique is totatlly useless.

  • where can you get a tire like this

  • nice job.I see a lot guys even pro fighters who just get it to the top and let it fall over without following through.

  • thanks, finally someone unders stand follow through with the sumo power style lift. Thanks.

  • how does one know what size/weight of tire to guy and where would you purchase such a beast?

  • He got it at a junk yard for free and it was weighed there at approximately 540, he's got a few others...

  • Awesome my man! Great strength training! we're do you store the tire my wife would kill me lol! great work!
