hmmm...i'm about to do this peice for my recidal, im 12, but its pretty easy, i can't find a recording of any profensional playing it here on youtube so it really frustrates me. As I said this peice is easy, its just perfecting it thats really hard. I also get stuck at that part in gavotte two because i can make the doublstops sound clear enough.
dude, this kids pretty good. hope you still play you have potential. I mean well, im 15 but ive played 9 years so ive played this piece its pretty easy but you sound good
I think the most challenging here is to stay in timing on your own and also playing those chords, notice how he's essentially playing the viola and violin part at the SAME time. I mean, my God, he sounded like a mini orchestra!
It's Gavotte by J.S. Bach. It is in the key of D major and the last note of the piece is a D which indicates that the piece is in D major rather than b minor. What piece you thinking of?
This Gavotte is from Suzuki book 5. I think they may be different parts of the same piece because they have repeats in the same places and other similarities. This is probably the equivalent of a first violin part because it is more difficult.
im also in book three. they have both gavotte aranged by P. Martini, and another version aranged by bach. though gavotte in book 5 could be a different version by bach, or it is just aranged differently.
I know of the vid's title, "Gavotte in D Major (by) JS Bach," and according to audio clips I've heard and searched on the Net, that piece is part of one of Bach's cello suites (BWV 1012, to be precise, for you classical music buffs! lol).
the pitches were very dead on in the beginning. good way to open a piece :)
