I run them about 16-18psi. Have too many concerns that I could pop a tyre off if I run them any lower. I might try Staun bead locks on the next set of tyres. AND that is clay that vwas really wet & sticky.
I assume yours has the 4.7 power tech as well...Do these come with any kind of locker or limited slip,i was always curious cuz my jeep is comletely stock an goes like hell.
It depends what transfercase you have, quadra drive has electronic limited slips in the front and back, and the quadra trac 2 has mechanical.. Quadra drive is better
My 2000 GC Limited makes the same tranny sounds when switching gears and i only have 88k mileage...quite weird, would love to know myself what the hell makes it do that,Nice Jeep by the way.
That noise at 2:00 sounds like your tranny. Maybe you didnt have the tires all the way stopped when you shifted or something. If you are driving really really slow and all of a sudden put it park or reverse, it makes that sound.
I too would love to know the source of that sound! It's done it a few times & many beers were consumed while discussing what might make it. Maybe the drive chain in the transfer case jumping. And thats a lot of stress on the bits inside! I was going to fit an Atlas Highlander transfer case but got dicked around by the local supplier so much I canned the idea and fitted a second hand unit from a later WJ. I dont recall the noise lately but will be listening out for it
Yes I know. Have looked at lifting it higher, but I have concerns that if I get it too close to the rear window it may smash the glass when getting hooked up on the rear end. Also have looked at putting it on the roof but a lot of our New Zealand bush tracks have low trees & branches that also could bend stuff. Any ideas? Have you seen any great ideas that I have missed?. Jim
