Hey for those of you reading the comments thinking about how many underground rappers are known then about how many other good ones should be known you should take a look at each profile posting about how they are underground & have a bit of talent & give a few of their videos a chance, check out what they have to offer. Like me, my name is Maxx "MaxximusP.R.I.M.E" Mattison,& id like those of you who care to give a kid a chance to look at my profile, check out my videos,& give me some feedback
@SageDivinity yea this is the first song they all worked together, after this when Damon was working on the first Gorillaz album, all the members of D3030 had helped out in a way or another.
@TehTyg13@KrazyKKid Automator produced the first album (Albarn produced the third and fourth, Danger Mouse produced the second). This track is some serious proto-Gorillaz, though.
Sorry, i had to to Download the song at cut away that skank that jumps in and ruins the song ( in my opinion ) instead of her and that annoying instrument i would rather make a pause-beat with some couple of breaks . that would make the song gold.. this beat and the lyrics r pure genious !
According to wikipedia, this song was the inspiration for the Gorillaz. Damon did collaborate with him on this. The voice is also used "Tommorow comes today" which was Gorillaz first release. However this was released 6 months after "Time keeps on slippin". its a great song. both are.
What if Mike Shinoda (From Fort Minor & Linkin Park) & Deltron 3030 did a song together? My God that would be epic...

my friends and i used to listen to Del in the 90s (that was the real hippy erra) Del was high when he made his music, just like every other artist in the 90s
I'm pretty sure that's Damon Albarn on the hook, which wouldn't be surprising since Del has worked with his project group The Gorillaz and done songs where his voice is the same spacey robo sound.
@Compton3clipsed Yup, it is, he's credited on the album. I fucking love this track and a couple of others but I was a little disappointed (by the beats) when it dropped...I think it was 'cause I followed Del's stuff almost religiously and The Automator to a lesser extent, I was really anticipating this, 100% sure it'd be 100% DOPE...plus the fact that it was hyped to fuck by the "switched on" media, I was fiending for it...bought it, got it home, put the needle to the groove...underwhelmed.
Oh, Del's rhyming is the best of his career on this album, though...mebbe why I was so gutted, the fact that some of the beats didn't live up to the stratospheric heights Del was reaching in his rhymes?
@eddytheps3king - Didn't know that bro, thanks for the info, I know this project was an important influence for the band and even the work Del went on to do with The Gorillaz.
@Compton3clipsed listen to Clouds - Pharcyde off humboldt beginnings album.. its really similar to the whole feel of the song and the pharcyde was an influence on del
The story he weaves and at the speed he does it at is fucking astounding. The accompanying lyrics in the background by 2-d's voice and that melancholy tone in the background.
Beats on this cd are genius...but the lyrics and flow is gay....seems like he hit up a dictionary and shit...you hip hop elitists are fucking idiots. all i hear is blablablablablabla on a good beat for 4 minutes. yeah, this must be real hip hop, because it doesnt sound good and has no meaning behind it.
@getbakedtonight wow, if u think there is no meaning maybe u should hit up a dictionary, this is one of the most amazing and inventive hip hop CD's ever made IMO, hit up a fat blunt and throw this disc on maybe u will appreciate it.
@getbakedtonight just cuz the vocabulary is more expansive doesn't mean people are setting themselves on some higher pedestal or something. as far as Im concerned rhyming is rhyming no matter what words you use to go along with it....
Does anyone else think that the backup singer sounds like Damon Albarn? I know he's not part of Deltron 3030 but it sure sounds like him :P Oh Yea Great song and Album!!!
@1000danskeren Nope, nope, no. Sorry, don't agree. What specifically makes you think it's old school? Jesus man this came out in 2000! No offence meant, but...I totally can't hear it.
@1000danskeren Nope, still don't agree with any of those...are we listening to the same song?!? And what old school hip-hop have you been listening to, to come to this conclusion?!?!?!? Yes, I'm just another pedantic you-tube prick, sorry....

Dig deeper, sir.
early MF DOOM, Eyedea & Abilities, Aesop Rock, Cannibal Ox, Dr. Octagon (Kool Keith), Edan....they all have this sort of spacey rap style.
Dr. Octagon, Edan and anything from First Born (Eyedea & Abilities) fit best with this style.
