  • real HIP HOP

  • THIS BAND SUCKS SO MUCH

well since i have your attention this band is the best

  • i must kno who sings in this

  • @SageDivinity "Del the funkee homosapien"

  • @TheAmazingKraken the person signing kinda sounded female to me and no names came to mind. i kno del raps this tho.

  • @SageDivinity Damon Albarn

  • @KamKomissioner 2-D? YES!! i thaught i just got finished listenin to Gorillaz. it took me a while to fit the voice. regretably

  • @SageDivinity yea this is the first song they all worked together, after this when Damon was working on the first Gorillaz album, all the members of D3030 had helped out in a way or another.

  • @KamKomissioner They to collab on more. I listen to this every day. SO GOOOD!!!!

  • i wanna see stuart pot ft. on one of his songs for a change maybe something what thay did for the chorus in "madness"

  • It's 2D, I mean this song was produced by damon albarn wasn't it?

  • @KrazyKKid Produced by Dan the Automator, but it features Damon Albarn. Dan the Automator produces the Gorillaz's stuff, I believe, as well.

  • @TehTyg13 @KrazyKKid Automator produced the first album (Albarn produced the third and fourth, Danger Mouse produced the second). This track is some serious proto-Gorillaz, though.

  • radiate your optics

  • I'm hearing Gorillaz - Tomorrow Comes Today in this ;)

  • @gavrjdodd great fucking song

  • the golden days of hip hop miss this

  • IS THIS DEL THE FUNKY HOMOSAPIEN?

  • @1erichellstrom absolutely

  • @1erichellstrom Does a fly love Shit?

  • @pescobar3131 lololololol

  • far from bammer...Wesifalif.

  • Can somebody please tell me is dat 2d mumblin?

  • @2DLUVSME Yes it is

  • Sorry, i had to to Download the song at cut away that skank that jumps in and ruins the song ( in my opinion ) instead of her and that annoying instrument i would rather make a pause-beat with some couple of breaks . that would make the song gold.. this beat and the lyrics r pure genious !

  • Does this dude write science fiction novels? I'd totally read his books if he did!

  • the last mc worth listenin to hip hop would die with him if the game dont straigtin up soon

  • According to wikipedia, this song was the inspiration for the Gorillaz. Damon did collaborate with him on this. The voice is also used "Tommorow comes today" which was Gorillaz first release. However this was released 6 months after "Time keeps on slippin". its a great song. both are.

  • Who aint ever heard of the mighty mighty D-E-L? betta ax sum body...

  • SICKASS SONG NEVRE HEARD THIS GUY FIRST TIME WE NEED MOR SHIT LIKE THISS!!!!!

  • Is that guy singing the dude from gorillaz????

  • @AaronLovesCookies yeah, this is the original gorrilaz.

  • brings back memories.....this came out a couple months before I graduated high school...we listened to it all summer into college.

  • @JahSolomon Pretty similar story here.

  • @JahSolomon Im a sophmore in college and me and my friends listen to this shit all the time, true music never dies.

  • @JahSolomon

samesies. 3030 was our blazeride beats.

  • I love the track and the hook....Del is awesome too as always!

  • one of the best songs off the album, typographical aptitude wow

  • Del is the Chuck Norris of Hip-hop.

  • @Devourthebook15 Wrong, Hes the Bruce Lee of Hip-Hop.

  • @AaronLovesCookies true say... considering bruce killed chuck in return of the dragon

  • @KitchenerBombSquad ;D exactly

  • @AaronLovesCookies bruce should have been a ninja rapper lol

  • CLASSIC

  • best song ever produced

  • It's not "the gorillaz", it's just Gorillaz

  • @KrazyKKid i think he just meant to say gorillaz but to word it right you add the in front of it :P

  • What if Mike Shinoda (From Fort Minor & Linkin Park) & Deltron 3030 did a song together? My God that would be epic...

  • @TheMysticWolfAura Del knows better than to work with 311 wannabes

  • @crippleslayer Oh fuck you.

  • @crippleslayer lol yes!

  • best song ever

  • my friends and i used to listen to Del in the 90s (that was the real hippy erra) Del was high when he made his music, just like every other artist in the 90s

  • Yay Area Nia....far from bammer...Wesifalif. Alien lifeform mailin a pipe bomb...

  • old school? i always called this progressive and innovative.

  • greatest fuckin vocab eva

  • wow, thats a totally different del than i know. deltron 3030 and dan rules

    muah

  • TH is the ost humble philanthropist.

  • GOD DAMN Del is talented!

  • is this a self titled album?

  • Greatness

  • there shouldnt even be 2 dislikes. this song is sick

  • I'm pretty sure that's Damon Albarn on the hook, which wouldn't be surprising since Del has worked with his project group The Gorillaz and done songs where his voice is the same spacey robo sound.

  • @Compton3clipsed i though the same dude!!

  • @Compton3clipsed Yup, it is, he's credited on the album. I fucking love this track and a couple of others but I was a little disappointed (by the beats) when it dropped...I think it was 'cause I followed Del's stuff almost religiously and The Automator to a lesser extent, I was really anticipating this, 100% sure it'd be 100% DOPE...plus the fact that it was hyped to fuck by the "switched on" media, I was fiending for it...bought it, got it home, put the needle to the groove...underwhelmed.

  • Oh, Del's rhyming is the best of his career on this album, though...mebbe why I was so gutted, the fact that some of the beats didn't live up to the stratospheric heights Del was reaching in his rhymes?

  • @Compton3clipsed it is most definately Damon Albarn on the hook, it was credited to this song for the creation of the gorilaz

  • @eddytheps3king - Didn't know that bro, thanks for the info, I know this project was an important influence for the band and even the work Del went on to do with The Gorillaz.

  • @Compton3clipsed Could be, otherwise its just Kid Koala sampling a part of a Gorillaz song.

  • @xTrollpiex Actually this project is what inspired Albarn to create the Gorillaz

  • @xTrollpiex There were no Gorillaz back when this album was released.

  • @xTrollpiex yeah dude. your dumb

  • @Compton3clipsed

    It is Damon:P

  • @Compton3clipsed Dan the Automator

  • @Compton3clipsed listen to Clouds - Pharcyde off humboldt beginnings album.. its really similar to the whole feel of the song and the pharcyde was an influence on del

  • I'm a metalhead. I want more hip hop like this.

  • @WetaGuy - I love seeing these comments.

  • goddamn it all i wish event II was out now.

  • Too sick, Del just proves that complexity and creativity still exist within hip-hop.

  • deltron 3030 is so insane.. i mean wow hes killin it :D

  • Parts with the girl singing reminds me of Tomorrow Comes Today by the Gorillaz...

Why does it end so abruptly though?

  • @crazymansam0 thats not a girl, Its damon Albarn from the gorillaz

  • @Chugulung o.o... (no comment)...

  • @crazymansam0 I do agree with you on the abrupt ending though

  • @crazymansam0 that is no girl. thats damon albarn, lead vocalist for the gorillaz

  • @crazymansam0 It was a song on this album that inspired Gorriaz to form. This the guy that did Rock the House and Clint Eastwood.

  • Dope

  • Dope

  • del is so G its crazy

  • some funky funk del

SO DOPE it makes me mad!!! haha

  • @TairyHesticles you have impeccable taste sir. My hat goes off to you.

  • Loved this stuff when i was in High School...Forgot about it for a while. Gotta say it's my favorite album of all time.

  • i really need this album

  • The story he weaves and at the speed he does it at is fucking astounding. The accompanying lyrics in the background by 2-d's voice and that melancholy tone in the background.

It truly is a feast for the ears.

  • This is the third Deltron 3030 song I've heard and I like all of them. I might pick up the album.

  • Deltron 3030 ><Aesop Rock . neither is greater. both niggas is dope

  • Beats on this cd are genius...but the lyrics and flow is gay....seems like he hit up a dictionary and shit...you hip hop elitists are fucking idiots. all i hear is blablablablablabla on a good beat for 4 minutes. yeah, this must be real hip hop, because it doesnt sound good and has no meaning behind it.

  • @getbakedtonight wow, if u think there is no meaning maybe u should hit up a dictionary, this is one of the most amazing and inventive hip hop CD's ever made IMO, hit up a fat blunt and throw this disc on maybe u will appreciate it.

  • @getbakedtonight Seriously??? Wow go find any of del's stuff man, he's a lyrical genius.

  • @getbakedtonight just cuz the vocabulary is more expansive doesn't mean people are setting themselves on some higher pedestal or something. as far as Im concerned rhyming is rhyming no matter what words you use to go along with it....

  • @getbakedtonight if you cared about knowledge and improving yourself you would look up the words you dont understand. fuk school man educate yourself

  • Comment removed

  • Del doesnt only sound amazingly genius when he rhymes

He is a fcking inspiration with his words

  • Does anyone else think that the backup singer sounds like Damon Albarn? I know he's not part of Deltron 3030 but it sure sounds like him :P Oh Yea Great song and Album!!!

  • @BeatlesSydBarrett9 It is Damon Albarn. He helped out Del here, and Del helped him out in Clint Eastwood.

  • @BeatlesSydBarrett9 I'm actually wondering that myself. if it's an actual singer or a sample. Either way, i want to know who the backup singer is.

  • @BeatlesSydBarrett9 it is him

  • oldschool !!!! <33333

  • @1000danskeren What's old school?!?!?!? It certainly ain't this album, dude!

  • @vollsticks what !!! ... listen to the battle song on this album and tell me this aint OLD SCHOOl man !

  • @1000danskeren Nope, nope, no. Sorry, don't agree. What specifically makes you think it's old school? Jesus man this came out in 2000! No offence meant, but...I totally can't hear it.

  • @vollsticks the way del raps, the tune and his voice ! :D

  • @1000danskeren Nope, still don't agree with any of those...are we listening to the same song?!? And what old school hip-hop have you been listening to, to come to this conclusion?!?!?!? Yes, I'm just another pedantic you-tube prick, sorry....

  • @vollsticks you know like wu tang clan, dr. dre and hieroglphics :) how about you ?

  • @1000danskeren None of those artists are old school. Old school hip-hop is like from 1978-1986...technically. I'd call Wu-Tang, Dre and them "Golden Age" hip-hop.

T La Rock & Jazzy Jay

    Superwolf

    Original Flavour

    Mantronix

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five

    Those artists are Old School.

  • @vollsticks wow those are good :D !

  • @vollsticks your the shit. and I mean tht, not being sarcastic or anything cocky like tht :D

  • @smurph666 Don't you mean I AM a shit?!!? 'Cause I am, a fucking pedantic YouTube shit who feels compelled to spew his (sometimes admittedly) wrong-headed opinions over all this whole Binternet... But if you're sincere then thanks for the compliment...I see you have a pretty fucking eclectic taste in music yourself, sir...MF Doom fucking REIGNS!

  • Hehehe; this guy's too good for mainstream. Period.

  • @s117godd ..well said. There's a god hand full of artists out there who know what RAP really is. Rhythm and Poetry
