  • this is a really great backing track dude. i really dig this style of music and this is a great way for me to practice this sort of stuff. i mainly play like power metal and stuff, but i like a bit of this if i just want to have a quick jam session without needing any one else.

  • Sick song.

  • I love freestyle rapping to this track. Thanks

  • This backing track kicks ass dude, good job. Do you mind if I throw up a vid of me practicing over this?

  • Porn music HAHAHA

  • doin a little 6 string phrygian arpeggio drill while I wait for the track to buffer

  • I believe that i know this picture...

    It's in a Jehovah's witnesses book...

  • Thanks................

  • you rock !

  • really beautiful track, im jamming in E minor pentatonic and elements of Bm.

I became lost in the the track and felt the juices flowing. Helps a man get a way from reality for a bit. Thanks!

  • COOL...... dude b happy if u did some more cool soundin tunes like this, instead of ththe usual blues trcks.

  • i love jazz.

  • what scales or modes go well with this?

  • D major goes well with Emin7

  • @thebuddybud When you play D major over E min it's called E dorian.

  • what exactly is the chord prog

  • @zubestr Em9-Emadd13, then Am-B7(#9)13. The voicings are as follows--Em9:e,b,f#,g,d,e; Em13: e,b,e,g,c#; Am: a,e,b,c,e(hammer on betweenb and c); B713(#9): b,d#,a,d, then e. I wish i could write the tab out too.

  • @gamergeek3000 Bravo...I just play it...My brain hurts if I try to think about what extensions and voicings I'm using when I write. I just know how they sound...lol

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Same here.

  • Awesome track! Me and Slimer are will post a vid response in a couple weeks =)

  • check my version its a new take on this awsome track phazer !!

  • i dig this and the picture of the deep field nebula to go with such an amazing fusion track i will be working on this one for certain

  • Glad you like it. I'll do more in the future, but for now, lots of other things on my plate.

  • fun jammer, nice g maj licks, b - 7 arps,

  • yer! this one is cool. i reccomend going with Eminor or sum pentatonic stuff working the chord tones and then on the last chord of the progression (E7 or 9 i think) chuck in a bit of Harmonic Minor. gives it a cool flavour

  • love it its brilliant thanks for this

  • Thanks for the support. I will do more of these in the near future, but for now, these jam tracks are on the back burner.

Thanks for the subscription. Anything special you'd like to see in terms of a jam track?

  • thanks iraq i love this i found it last night its brill i would love somemore like this if you have any thanks very much look forward to more im just working on something with it now

  • Glad you are digging it!

I threw this little track together in like 30 minutes, so yeah, I will do more for sure.

I have a good R&B track I have been messing with. I'll try to get it up ASAP.

Later my man and keep jammin

  • I bet you guys didn't know that the picture in the video is the cover on the inside booklet for Pearl Jam's album "Binaural"? Apparently it's the birth of a star and it's called 'Eagle Nubela', and the largest column is 3 light years tall.

  • @fletchers4

    Thanks for sharing

  • @fletchers4 That's correct, it's a star nursery call "The Pillars Of Creation", located in the Eagle Nebula.

  • @fletchers4 It's actually called "The Pillars of Creation", and it's just part of the Eagle Nebula.

  • @fletchers4

It's also been destroyed for about 6000 years now, and we wont see its decimation for another 1000.

  • @djziggurat How do you know that?

  • @fletchers4

Because along with music I have a huge interest in science, mostly astronomy and genetics. I read a lot lol, just a little fact I picked up along the way.

  • @fletchers4 I believe it is the birthing of thousands of stars. Pretty mind blowing to say the least !

  • either way i have tons of fun on this one:D good stuff man, thanks for posting

  • Sure thing...more to come...I have a lot of pokers in the fire with my firearms related videos, but I will make more of these before too terribly long.

  • dorian, then natural minor, then a lyd dominant, if you want to sound as bad as me hahaha

  • I don't really think about it. I just like to feel my way through it.

I think people write their best material that way, but every one is different

  • good backing track, i also warm up to this! i shred the bleep out of it! heheheh

    thx

  • Glad you like it....I'll make more as time allows. Anything special you want?

  • sure! more of this kind of stuff! something with a nice up beat, and smooth!

  • I have an R&B one I am working on.

  • Something with key changes and an odd time signature switch up would be fun

  • Those are a little more difficult to produce, but I'll see what I can do.

I had one tune I was messing with there for a awhile that had some crazy modular key changes and relative stuff going on. I'll dig it up.

  • To bad that the chords dont change keys...otherwise a fun backing to play to.

For the firstimpro i used the G major scale...actualy its the E Aeolian but its the same notes anyway only the tonal center is diferent.

  • It's just something I threw together in like 30 minutes...

  • Figured I should say something considering I posted a response :P Really great backing track, an absolute blast to play over. I usually warm up over this now, actually. Thanks for the great track! :)

  • Thanks for taking the time and effort to post a response. It is a cool track IMO.

I like jamming to it as well, but I decided to leave the responses for the viewers. Great job with it. As long as you have fun with it thats all that matters.

I may be making more of these in the future with a little more production involved.

I write all the theme music on my video intros too.

All guitar parts were recorded on a Telecaster.

  • i'm just following the 9th chords down from E

  • E Dorian

  • yep

  • I'm using min9th chords with a 7thb9th turn around.

  • Cool track. Thankee

  • sweet backing track, could use some bass before lead guitar though. Wanna send it over my way and ill do both?

  • It's a backing track. I made it for you to jam to. Feel free to record over it and repost as a video response. I left the bass track out so bass players could get in on the action too.

  • I would like to throw something down, could you possibly send me the high quality audio track?

  • Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore. My external hard drive crashed...What I do to post video responses, although the sound is not as good is just play over it and record on your camera. It sounds okay...

  • that's cool will stick something over that cheers

  • Sounds like fun thanks.

  • relaxing

  • Thanks...It's fun to jam to.

  • Now this is what I call " artsy fartsy "... lol

Great Music and picture... perfect match...
