I played the DS version of this game and I thought it was awesome. I'm currently playing Hand of the Heavenly Bride, which is just as cool. I'm so glad they decided to release these games in the UK!

I just finished DQ 4 on the DS, and it seemed so much different from the NES version I remembered. However, after watching this video, I realized I was probably mixing in parts from 2, 3, and 4 in memory and putting them all together as 4. Great video.

I just spent the last couple of hours doing the whole YouTube/Wikipedia routine for Dragon Warrior.

I'm really pumped up to get back into the series where I left off, but I just remembered I have to work for the rest of my life.

Good memories though. I'm thinking I can introduce this series to my GF on the DS.

LOL my NES erased my Dragon Warrior I, and it was right before the final battle too! Alright I think I've nerded it up enough here.

I still have DWIV for Nes, and I bought the DS version for it, love them both ;) though I love the music on the Nes better, good memories xD I'm just now playing DWV for the DS, I accidentally bought it on amazon, but I love it too! really good ;)

"Dragon Warrior" is simply what the earlier Dragon Quest games were called in North America. No one ripped off anything.

it was called dragon quest in japan it just got translated wrong into warrior just like half the error's in ff7 they got translated wrong just like ff2 in dawn of souls is the original 2 not the version we know with cecil

uh nothing was translated wrong. DQ was copyrighted so they couldn't use it. Only around DQ8 they could. FF was so no one goes on about wait FF1....FF4...WTH is the other 2?!. I guess around FF7 they change there minds. Don't know why though.
