  • Those are 145 pound dbs. Theres 7 ten lb plates per side, plus the handle which adds 5 lbs.

  • tys tam mel tak 60 a to mozna

  • how can you build power without gaining weight or size?

  • Comment removed

  • weeldone dude keep it up, you have a natural appeal! people like this give hope to the natty's out there

  • You know what man...I take back what I said. Ive just checked out a few of your other videos and its obvious you know what youre doing, especially technique wise. You're banging out some big weights man, so kudos and apologies.

  • @johnnyjayramone , thanks, but in all honesty ^^ this video sucks balls :) I could bang 10 reps now with these weights ;)

  • @termis2 Dude, whats the go? Is it just natural strength or technique or both????

  • Something doesnt add up here. Sure youre pressing 72kg dummies, but your size isnt a reflection of your strength. Im thinking gear.

  • @johnnyjayramone , what the hell are you talkin about? :D Weighlifters for example weigh 60 kg and move 3-4 times as much weight in presses and even more in squats. Size, if are talking about width and height, doesn't mean a thing when it comes to power -> sure the most powerful guys are also the biggest, but in comparison to bodyweight, smaller lifters do lift more.

  • @termis2 Dude, cmon. Im 120kg, been training for 15 years and never pressed anything that heavy. At most 60kg dummies. Even when I was benching 3 plates a side. Unless youre banging these out week in week out, and just by chance "suddenly" you could go that heavy, then something tells me Mr Juicy's paid a visit.

  • @johnnyjayramone

Just means you either have a bad technique/lifting regime or you just don't have the genes to get it done. Don't go around accusing people for doing things that YOU can't do.

  • @kez850 I apologised so shut it bitch.

  • @johnnyjayramone it adds up just fine. You just don't know the difference between myofibrillar and sarcoplasmic hypertrophy

  • try going through a full range of motion bud

  • @sidd726 try doing even half that weight and then record it.

  • any more weight and your gona need to use barbells for each hand

  • I love how you're not THAT big. About as big as me but you're strong as fucking all hell, damn. I'm using 100s for like 5 dude haha. Your other barbell bench videos are unbelievably impressive. Keep it up man you're fucking awesome.

  • @cssaddict17 , Thanks! :)

  • That's my BB bench in each hand ;_;

  • @FatalSlaughter , :)

  • @FatalSlaughter Same man, I know how you feel :(

  • Great song

  • id agree.. the worst part of these lifts are getting into position.. once your laying back and the weights are up and ready to go, its just the push from there.. haha, can anyone review my video of me doing 85lbs dumbells x3 and critic for me to help me get to the next level! thanks, nice vid man!

  • Bla bla bla say the fat jealous haters. Good job bro

  • Tool !!!

  • looks like the spotter worked harder than you did...

  • @RisingStars , oh really

  • @termis2 listen man, this is youtube! Youtube is full of fat fuck and skinny ass losers! When this fuckers hating on u, it means that u have done something wow;) So good job man! and fuck the haters!

  • hes just pikkin me up in 2 hands.

  • @gibby5335 , too bad you will never even lift these weights from the ground

  • TOOL

  • @musicmanJrpro ha ur cool

  • Those dumbbells are bigger than me, no joke

  • beast

  • whatever haters! i did the 100 pound dbs for the first time today (i weigh like 158). that shit was hard! i needed dokken on the headphones to do one rep! stop hating on this guy even if you are actually stronger than him or think you have better form or better hair. if you can hold anything above the 100's without dropping them on your nuts then you couldn't be a total pussy...that being said my hair is much better than this guys hair or any of the hair on any of you haters heads.

  • Nice haircut lol!!!

  • What's with the hair?

  • Hi what song is this?

  • @jgq85 Vicarious by Tool

  • nice lift however if you want to up your power try going down 20 to 40 lbs and going all the way down. great lift tho

  • i think you are joking us pal

  • Great strength dude. I'm just now hitting 95lb DBs, the hardest part now, is getting them in place (alone).

I can only imagine the thump when those hit the deck.

  • watch the spotters hands, he's not touching him, he's just close in case he needs extra lift. I thought it was a good heavy set of 4. well done.

  • Btw thanks for putting a page together on how to increase your bench and thumbs up for your choice of music in this vid.

  • I bet most people here wouldn't even be able to get one of these dumbbells off the rack

  • Form is a little bit off, but I still have to say congrats for pushing it how you did. It takes a strong man to do what you did, good form or bad.

  • no problem bro. i throw up 140 for 8, 4 second eccentric and twisting. Thats a joke for me. I'm not saying he doesnt work hard, just the work would be more beneficial if he were to do it right

  • pushing yourself with heavy weights is pointless if you don't use form. Anyone can rep off a 400 pound bench if they only go 2 inches down

  • @beefy5252 , and anyone can, whats it to you?

  • @Hirvibongari2 just saying, its not that impressive then. If he could really push the weight, i would give him his props..

  • @beefy5252 , go ahead, do a better job yourself

  • Good job, but work on getting them up by yourself - even if it means lower weight..

  • Half reps

  • whats the point in using this wide dumbbells when you cant do complete move to hit inner chest part?

  • @jovanx85 cuz he can probably already make the complete movement with smaller size weights and just wanted to push himself with heavier weights?

  • @theplumchow makes sense

  • this guy is good i dont think the spotter is even touching him you also look natural which means ur one of the strongest

    /golfclap

  • this is jus stupid, it gets to a point where its retarded, why would u do 160 with this shit of form, when u could probly jus do 125-130 with nice form, its jus stupid

  • u know your huge as fuck when people make lame excuses about the spotter helping you! Thumbs up if u agree!

  • this is pathetic hes a pussy and i lift twice that much wiv no spotter and im 15

  • @mrwot11 No you don't....

  • i just feel like saying for all the dumbasses who see this and have never set foot inside a gym. spotting at that wieght makes it dam well impossible to cheat you try lift that in curl position and then lets talk again. secondly like someone said those weights are heavy but shit design you need to have them more compact to not have the flailing around

  • OMG my record is 50 kg one hand wow this is cool typek =D

  • all the people talking shit prolly cant even barbell bench 160. Some people have no idea how freakin heavy that shit is

  • to much weight , bad form and the spotter is practicly deadlifting it for him.

  • How'd you get those dumbbells off the floor?

  • Even just a touch can decrease pounds of pressure that your pressing. It is helping.

  • Haha, gotta love all these haters. it's like when someone does something better than they can ever dream to do, they have to find reasons how it's done wrong so they don't feel like puny little punks.

  • awesome job! Keep it up brotha!

  • to everybody hating on this guy sayin he ain't using right form or that the spotter does all the work for him, just shut the fuck up, i'd like to see any of you just picking up these weights.

  • @henning93 thank you

  • pff.. that's it?

  • The spotter never helps in this lift, take a close look at his hands.

Also, helping from the wrists is what I prefer, it is totally the lifters choice where he wants to be spotted.

When spotting from elbows I get the sensation that my shoulder will slip from the socket.

The weights are ridiculously hard to control because of their width; them being more compact this lift would've looked totally different.

Do not try these weights at home kids; they are heavy.

  • @termis2 completely agreed, that spotter needs to be there holding the wrists, weights that are this heavy are so hard to control and i havent even gotten close to 160 so stop hating on the guy it was a good lift

  • @termis2 They aren't that heavy, sorry. And your lift technique was horrible. 4 reps isn't impressive. Show me 150's with 10 SOLID reps, no spotter, and I'll be impressed.

There was no need for the spotter if you could handle this on your own, but you can't. Excuses wont cut it, buddy. Learn to lift the right way before you become a youtube vidiot.

  • whats the point of that.

  • elbow sleeves wrist wraps, shit spotter whos holding it and keeping his balance, go down to 40s for me babe.

  • That doesn't look like 160's to me. Also, not 1 rep is done all by yourself. A true set is when you grab the weight do the set and put it away!

  • spotting by the wrist, what a fucking Noob!!!

  • ill give it to you heavy weight bad form.. keep up the heavy lifting tho!

  • Lol nah im sorry man this is good shit. much more then i could do. But i do think done correctly full extention should be possible with excercises. I could be wrong mate but i practice what i preach and although im only dumb bell pressing 90's my aplication strength is deff 10 times more impressive then my weightroom strength and i think thats why, full extention on everything. But with out doubt 160 pounds in each hand is a ton haha

  • Lool.. anybody saying the spotter is lifting the weight for him is DUMB. If you say that you obviously dont understand how heavy this weight is.. I guarantee you the majority of weight is being lifted by the LIFTER. Can the spotter basically curl 71kg dumbells? NO.

Good lad... forms not perfect but what do you expect when lifting such huge weight.

    yours in training

  • im pretty jacked with 40's. 160's are nothin

  • Kudos for Tool. :P

  • i can do that, use a bar dumbass lucky nothing happned

  • ya stay inside the box, who uses stabilizer muscles anyway, god you and your more functional lifts. what are you thinking

  • nice! for your size you pushing some heavy dumbbells! id rather get spotted by the elbows, thats just my preference... good job btw!

  • the most dangerous part with heavy dumbbells is laying back and getting into press position

  • damn right it is, that's the part i hate most especially without a spotter

  • We need more heavy lifting videos on Youtube instead of the tens of thousands of light weight "how to" demonstrations.

    Keep Up The Good Work!!

  • Form is a bit off but who cares when you can bench the 160s for 4 reps. :-D

  • wish my gym had 160 db,,, only got the `150's,,,, good reps,, i rather get spotted by the elbows aswell

  • not good at all wste of time.

  • spoter doin it wrong . u need to support his elbows dont touch the wieghts

  • I dont' want to be spotted from the elbows.

  • I agree with you. If you lose control outwards and go to dump the weight and the spotter grabs the elbows, you can literally break your arm. A spot from the wrists is a much better idea. Nice vids.

  • @aaapppeeelll you are a beast.fucc these no weight lifting,no technique having haterz.

  • no matter how much you pretend to bench, it won't make your hair any less ridiculous

  • I'm glad I made you both happy and impressed.

  • what a pile of shit

  • spotter is cracking my ass up!...lol

  • why dont u pick a weight u can go all the way down with and stop strocking your ego in the gym, and whats with the gay ass hair cut?

  • Well ego put aside, this looks fucking heavy doesnt it? Try it eventhough it might be "too heavy".

  • @carmody55 going all the way down can easily damage your shoulders you dumb FUCK.

  • @carmody55 He went all the way down... retard.

  • @carmody55 Why don't you pick a word you can spell and stop "strocking" your ego on YouTube, and what is with you caring about guys hair cuts?

Haha chirping aside, I do agree with you about not going all the way down. I would be embaressed to put a video of me on YouTube not hitting my chest.

  • @carmody55

You dont have to go all the way down just aslong as you breach 90 degrees it should be absolutely fine. Its actually at times now having them touch your chest you almost got like a little break when they are on your chest

  • weighlifting academy for faggots.

  • this is so stupid. this is the dumbest video youtube has to offer.

  • have you seen the (Dangers of (really REALLY) heavy weights)?

  • bro, fuck thats a lil too much, i mean ur already doing alot of weight when ur going over 100, fuckin 160 is insane, do a lil more reps

  • @termis2 lmfao i saw that video 2 nd ya it was dumb but this pretty good lift man keep it up

  • nope, he is just holding his hands near in case I lose balance.

  • @EPHRAIM12236763 the problem isnt that he cant lift it and has to have the spotter with his hands on it, the problem is that the dumbells are too wide and he cant go straight up because they touch and it causes him to push them out in an angle. if the dumbells werent so wide he could do a few reps with them correctly but he cant help how wide they are so the spotter has to keep them from falling out to his sides and ruining the press.

  • @EPHRAIM12236763 HAHAHAHAH the spotter is lifting 160lb dumbells with his wrist strength???

yeh.. nice one you jealous cunt

  • @EPHRAIM12236763 you can't lift two 160lb dumbbells in that position, stupid.

  • those things look hilarious

  • nice lift ...

  • Numba 1. His form is bad. Numba 2 the spotter is spotting him wrong. He should have his hands under his elbows like u guys said.

  • If you look up proper spotting form in the NSCA's Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning...he's doing a great job spotting.

  • not nesccerly i find spotting from the wrists much better - when some1 supports my elbows say in dumbell shoudlerpress i feel that hes imbalancing me rather than if they catch me in the wrists i feel the aid better and the balance doesnt get defected

  • Agree with you, but these guys who want to be spotted from the elbows generally lift much lighter weights which doesnt create imbalance. When going heavy, it is much natural to help from wrists, where the weight is nearest the the spotters hands. Simple and effective. Btw in this vid the spotter only keeps his hands near the wrists and does NOT help.

  • well excuse me if i find it hard to belive =P

  • well excuse me, but I happen to lift in this vid so I know =P

  • and yer not the one who posted it?

  • two accounts, one for training and one for all other.

  • I agree with yasinpatel12345 a spoter needs to grab the elbows I seen 24hour fitness trainers do wrist spots they should be fired

  • dam dude iw ould be worried if the spotter was grabbing my wrists to spot it makes you lose balance with these and going heavy

  • on the contrary, some like that spotter holds wrists so that when spotter helps the movement goes straight up. When grabbing the elbows there is the risk of losing balance.

  • I can know he is strong enough, but he body is not too impressive for his strength.

He has to make a decision if he would aim for the body shape or power lifting.

  • Powerlifters try more and more to be more "compact" or to get stronger w/o getting bigger. I think it's the way to go. Especially since the majority of beautiful women would also agree.

  • @waynestang agreed

  • I went two months with only using dumbell press and increased the weight but I just tried to max out on bench press after two months and it was a lot harder than it used to be and Im using weight I was very close to. Will my bench press go up really fast after my body gets used to the bar rather than two dumbells?

  • Ridiculous. The trainee is clearly attempting to lift far too much weight - and he was assisted from the first rep. He should significantly reduce the resistance for this exercise, go through a greater range of movement and work on 3 seconds each for both concentric and eccentric phases. Quite simply, if he doesn't reduce the resistance here he may eventually suffer the consequences of a serious injury, eg. a pectoral tear, a rotator cuff tear or even a biceps tendon tear.

  • Or he was just trying it out a set, for fun. "Atleast I dont have to guess how heavy those huge weights feel".

  • Hi

There's nothing more that I can add to my previous comments, other than that you should perhaps reread them and try to better comprehend them.

    Cheers

  • and you are a guy who preaches always about dangers of training heavy or cheating style. Who cares about your medical jargon ?

  • I'll take your first sentence as a compliment. I'm confused about the second one, however...perhaps you could enlighten me?

    Many thanks.

  • @Meshwork123 Yeah, but if I was a physical therapist, I'd LOVE to see this shit! :D

  • @Meshwork123 um its too bad he didn't injure himself, im pretty sure he knows what hes doing.

  • @SmexyPC You do not elaborate when you say that you're pretty sure that he knows what he's doing. Growth stimulation is optimal at an intensity where the trainee concludes a set to momentary muscular failure. That last failed rep and the preceding multiple reps - at least 8 of them - are the safest and most effective way to induce growth and hence strength increases. These empirical findings are based on scientific facts, not on mere opinion as to what one might perceive as instinct.

  • @Meshwork123

really? great you tell HIM how to work out. you probably cant do it that heavy yourself.

  • Hi @856893tfr

    1. You're right, I can't lift that much weight - never could. If I could have though I would have, but with at least 8 to 12 reps in good form.

    2. Try to understand that strength and intelligence are not mutually exclusive.

    3. It's not possible for me to tell him.

    4. For someone who clearly states that one should not provoke others in here, you certainly do a good job yourself.

    Mesh

  • @Meshwork123

1.his form isnt that bad. our muscles werent programmed to move in a 'robotic' way if you understand my point

    2. i only meant that he knows what hes doing for his body. everyone is different.

    3. sure okay

    4. i never stated dont provoke others read my first comment correctly. i only meant that its dumb when someone is always on these videos posting 'bad form' when its all gonna be okay. its all gonna turn out good for the lifter in most occasions.

  • @Meshwork123

    5. its always awesome to hear someone talk big on youtube. 'IF i COULD i WOULD do it, but i couldnt.......... and i WOULD have done it in better form, when you clearly state you could never lift that much weight. LOL

    6. stop projecting your feelings of failure onto youtube. at least the owner of this vid is man enough to post a vid of him under that much weight.

  • Dear @856893tfr

I was not projecting any feelings of failure. I'm a middle aged man and weak as a kitten these days. But that does not mean that I do not have some scientific knowledge concerning the safest and most productive approach to resistance exercise.

I won't bother trying to reason with you any further, other than to say that you should look above to the top of your screen for the number of ticks I have against my name for my original post. Checkmate, my friend.

  • I hate when i dumbbell press and people grab my wrist to spot me. I prefer my elbows. but I am not there yet I'm on about 120 for 4 reps

  • I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THEY MADE 160lbs DUMBBELLS!!! O.O

  • dude... matt kroc has a 300 lbs dumbbell

and ronnie coleman was doing presses with 200lbs dumbbells and traps with 250's <.<

  • they made 200 lbs max

  • The guys strong, don't get me wrong, but he would benefit from doing 130/135 with absolute perfect form. Don't get me wrong, this is still impressive, and the guy is still jacked, but your lying if you say that's good form. Not saying I could even get close to 160 even with the worst form in the world, but it needs work.

  • i find it funny how people bash technique, its not like this guy is not in shape, people who are form nazis are usually the fat guys who think they are trainers, u guys are jealous that you cant even get that weight off the racks

  • yuupppppp

  • thank you

  • I also find it funny that people do half to three quarter presses and call it true to form.

This fellow needs to lighten up and touch his chest on each rep.

  • lolololololol

  • that was real it was just the mat that made them bounce

  • It looks perfectly fine to me when he "throw" them.

  • the far heavy i got on dumball is was 115lb and i do 8 reps. no spotting at all and i was weight about 170-175 lb. i worry about my joint i pafore have my joint in good condition and pain free so i can build muscle.

  • This is just an illustration of strength. It certainly does not represent proper training techinique. It's just for show.

  • whats best, dumbbells or barbell for bench? i never do the bar coz im so fucking parranoid, i allways tell myself i can get one more...

dousnt go well when i cant...

so i allways use dumbells but im feeling that my chest just isnt developing like the rest of my body, im thinking its because i allways do dumbbells.

  • i dont see how bar has much of an advantage over dumbbells. personally i prefer dumbbells, i hurt my shoulders in high school and bar always hurts that area. if anything, i usually get a better chest workout from dumbbells anyways. try letting them go out a little wider at the bottom and bring them together (no smacking) at the top. not quite a fly, but wider than you normally would. completely destroys my chest, its great

  • i know what u mean about more width between ur dumbells, and i used to have the same problem wth my shoulders, just about 3+ months ago, but my diet is just the best! and i take cod liver oil caps now, there amazing, i cant even crack my shoulders anymore, evev if i try, my joints are way better.

there both good, i mean db's and bar; but im one with the bar now.

it gives me a better pump, and i just feel in control.

i only use db's for high incline bench or sumthin, its fucking great then!

  • thats fake

  • aint fukin fake lol im 16 i do them for 2 reps and i droped them on me chest yestaday lol

  • That isn't too worthwhile. He'd be better off doing slightly less weight but with better form and more consistent reps. Keep trying!
