doesnt the fact that it was meant to always be open space matter? what part of the park is actually going to be part of the new toll road..the beach??? now does that make sense to the evolution of the natural process of erosion on beaches and now global warming issues to put up a 6 lane toll booth on one of the most precious things on our natural earth? doesnt president reagans word mean anything? it is written and so shall it be done.

Time and time again public lands that were once allocated for state and national parks are strategically removed or reduced. The goverment will continue to sell off these lands to pay for nation debt. California with 37 million people and 50 million by 2050 needs to come up with an alt solution for traffic congestion. Public Land is set aside for the people!! Not for Private Enterprise! No way is anyone taking our park(s) to make a road we do not need. If transportation on the 5 is the issue, find a solution with light rail and more efficient cars + buses. Development does not justify sacrificing rare places for few to profit on.

State Parks are set aside because they are special and unique- as in irreplaceable.

Once they are gone, they are gone.

Fight to protect what is ours.
