I have a whole playlist on my ipod for helping me sleep, which includes Silent Wings by Secret Garden, a cover by Emilie Autumn of Asleep, and Sidhenearlahi Set by Omnia, among others.
I also talk in my sleep and downloaded an iphone app called sleep talk. You can hear some amazing things. Also I just got a mouth guard myself, cost me a bomb :( have a good one miles
i used to have a grind guard too! i have really small teeth because i grinded them so much! the guard was so helpful though coz i don't grind my teeth anymore!
I take a hot bath and drink a cup of tea before bed. Sometimes I do yoga as well. I try to stay away from the computer about 30 mins before going to bed...otherwise it wakes me up and I'll be up for hours.
it has to be pitch black for me to fall asleep. i also like to have my fan going, just because it's more comfortable that way. and it turns out i sleep with my arm draped over my eyes every night, so maybe you need a comfortable position to sleep? you seem to have the fluffy comforter already, so try multiple pillows? if you keep your head above your heart, maybe it will help you think less cuz of blood flow and shit lol
I read before bed, prefurably a light read, nothing too intense or thought provoking. Like a book. Usually I have one specificially for bed and another for just...reading haha
i watch a movie or watch tv! or play UNO on my Xbox 360! or watch channel 301 on freeview (sometimes they keep playing the same episode of something in a loop!
the lights need to be turned off and you need to be comfertable! (tucked in)
I have a list of calm music on my iPod that I listen too when I have troubble sleeping. And I noticed that the trick is to not to have too many songs on the list because then you just start to really listen to them, but if you have just a few song you get bored fast and fall to sleep.
I hate having mouth guards fitted. I had one done at school, but the people were Spanish and I couldn't understand a word they said. I was just choking on this gunk in my mouth and they were saying "Breathe" in a scary Spanish accent. meanwhile, the mouthguard thing was half way down my freaking throat.
I find that if I really can't get to sleep, I'll just really concentrate on my breathing. It always works, I fall asleep in about a minute of it. It's like meditating I guess.
when i can't sleep i just stay up and make things.. granted their not the best b/c i don't want to disturb the people around me... so i made a skirt out of duct tape one... :p
I actually went to my doctor because I was having trouble sleeping, she told me I was having sleeping trouble because my body was "on London time." Being in Toronto, wasn't quite helpful so she told me to go to the health food store or pharmacy and get Melatonin tablets, it's just natural vitamins that help me sleep. I don't take them all the time, but they really help me sleep when I do.
I have a playlist on Spotify that I play when I am trying to sleep. Either that some other music. It's odd how often heavy music can be like a lulaby.
Sex helps me sleep. Plus the sound of rain. And you may want to flip you mattress around or over. They get comfier that way. If you flip them around like one's ever month or so.
Try buying melatonin. It's over-the-counter at any drugstore, and if you can look it up ahead of time. I used to use it when I switched from working night shifts to day shifts and it's effective with no side effects.
Music usually helps me sleep, but recently it's been Pink Floyd "The Wall" That's been getting me to sleep. Weird, I know, but there's just something peaceful about it.
hey man wats up, look up peter buys sounds of the rain forest on family guy, its not on youtube but its probably somewhere on the web. its pretty funny and this vid made me think of it hah plz subscribe!
I love your accent! LOL what helps me sleep is sleeping in a cold room and get a lot of blanckets (getting warm causes me to feel sleeper) then I just think of something till I doze off!
If I'm with my friends, I'll cuddle up to them. It comforts me.
When I'm at home, I don't like cuddling up to teddy bears cause they don't make me feel safe what so ever.. So I'll just play some music quietly in the background. Or if I'm really really iritable and can't sleep I'll think up a scene in my head and day dream off to sleep. =]
I suffer from sleep issues and I can't sleep unless a fan is running. My mom also has a sound machine that is static that can sound like different degrees of running water from ocean, to rain, to waterfall which works amazingly well.
Without the aid of alcohol! Sleep with the most boring, untalented and ugliest person you can find, even if you don' t get to sleep, you'll feel so pleased that your not "in the same boat" the following morning.
Or for a more wholesome, cleaner remedy. Read a highly technical instruction manual, backwards. Very, very slowly. Even if you don't get to sleep, you might learn information about central heating, cement mixing or electronics.
I use aroma therapy stuff from Bath and Body works like the air freshener or pillow mist. I take a natural hormone called melatonin and I listen to relaxing music like the ocean or rain :)

Theres this thing you can do where you deprive yourself of sleep to get yourself back into a regular sleeping pattern.
It sounds weird but google it and you'll find something.
Basic gist is you only go to bed for 2 hours one night, then 3 the next, then 4 etc. Basically you'll feel like shit for the first few days but after that prob solved.
A way to help u sleep is to massage between ur little toe and the one next to it... do it with pressure for few mins and it helps u sleep sounds stange but works...
i used to find it really difficult to sleep and listened to rain drops or soft guitar/piano... now i usually grab two sides of my covers, lie face down and im usually out like a light? P.s my head moves to the side when i sleep haha, i don't wake up face in pillow :P
I wish I had an iphone. That app seems really cool just to mess with people with the sounds. You're really scary when you're angry by the way.
Hearing someone else sleep helps me sleep. Kinda sucks though since I never get to hear anyone sleep that doesn't sound horrible. With the exception of my boyfriend who I've only heard sleep on accident when he waffle-faced on Skype once.
ahaha! i just downloaded the lite version of that app just to hear all the crazy different sounds they have and they are so specific! "german street market"?? its like um no im sry i only like falling asleep to italian street market sounds. lol!
First of all, you looked like you were in a coffin, all dressed up and shit. Also, I've heard you talk in your sleep, on Stickam, about subs. That is all. =)
I usually need my room to be pitch-black, otherwise the light is distracting, and I need complete silence to sleep. When I'm at my parents house, though, the dogs howling nearby helps me sleep.
definitally thought that the frying eggs was someone pissing into a toilet. then you said yeah, really. and i thought i had guessed right.. then felt like a dirty freak once it was something as innocent as eggs.
I read a bit and always use ear plugs so im in complete silence. And I cant sleep in the dark, my mind goes wild and keeps picturing people in my room and outside my window... so I have my TV on but I turn it to TV/video so its a blank screen of light...
What helps me sleep? Total darkness, because looking at things, apparantly, takes my attention and keeps me awake
2nd Thing, anything sung by Celtic Woman. When I'm awake they make me happy, when I'm tired they knock me out. So soothing. It's like a CD of lullabies.
I use passiflora, some homeopathic stuff or some cds, cause oddly enough if I fell once asleep listening to thme they always make me sleepy i hear them again
When I have trouble sleeping I use a herbal supplement called Melatonin. You can find it , at least in the states, in places like Walgreen's and Rite Aid.
yo dude. idk if you remember me im jesse we met a little while ago.. but i never really sleep and sometimes when i do, i usually breath really slow, dont think about anything an listen to the waves of a beach on some iPhone app that i have. and another thing that works is thinking of your day starting from as soon as you awake. like i woke up, went to the bathroom an brushed my teeth. i went back in bed for 10 minutes. that type stuff
I rub my arm or if I sleep near someone else I rub their earlobe (apparently I've done this since I was a baby so it's excusable) and vaccume cleaner noises always get me off to sleep aswell. :)
I listen to this CD I bought, and its the sound of the waves on the beach, because I live on the coast we have a stony beach, i'm asleep in minutes ;D xxxx
I count my breaths. Like, not even joking.

Also, awesome video! I needed a laugh.

Marijuana and radiohead tend to do the trick. Otherwise I just read a book until I can no longer keep my eyes open.

I rub my arm or if I sleep near someone else I rub their earlobe (apparently I've done this since I was a baby so it's excusable) and vaccume cleaner noises always get me off to sleep aswell. :)
