Kraftwerk son los pioneros de la musica Electronica...les guste o no...he tenido la oportunidad de estar en dos de sus conciertos y la verdad es que sus conciertos son diferentes,imaginativos,increibles....
One of my favourite Kraftwerk songs. They are one of the most influential bands of all time and get little credit for it. Suck this, genres of music developed in the last 40 years. This is the root of much modern music.
@Ladygagsalot You and Gavinvox742 both failed math. I belive at 22:36 on 18 June 2011, that 88 people disliked the video. You were just too far ahead!
85 people remember when the slide rule was patented and were too stubborn (due to age) to use a pocket calculator when it was introduced. 2662 people know what a palindrome is... lol.
Actually, I HAVE such a calculator - which, "by pressing down a special key, makes a little melody" :-) It's Casio, and I bid for it $200 on eBay! :-)
The funny thing is, the two of the guys in the middle (who are "responsible" for "The Mix" album and are much younger that the founders of the group - Ralf & Florian) didn't even KNOW about the real existence of such a calculator and that the lyrics are "based on real-life facts"! :-D

Kraftwerk were above awesome they were feckin genius!!! Without them there would be no New Order, OMD, Depeche Mode and the like which says it all. Thank you what more can I say.
80's?? Heck, I was listening to them in the 70's! Of course, the early stuff more like ambient music, but it was still recognizable as their unique sound.
Kraftwerk. When this song (originally only in German) became successful, Kraftwerk decided to English, Japanese AND French versions of the song. Kraftwerk made all the lyrics, sung by Ralf Hutter.
This is probably the only song which Florian actually likes to play in front of other people. Nowhere else in the concert have I seen him even moving. Except in this part.
@sg2massive -- true, for this particular video, he is not singing ENGLISH. If you watch Rg-8O07NoP8 you will see that the audience movements are the same. In that video he IS singing though (german+japanese). Most likely, this video was used because they liked the visuals/audience reaction. I bet they just overdubbed the English portion from a different concert and his hand gestures just made it easier to cover (but Re: covering his mouth => he has done this for DECADES and he WAS signing then)
@sg2massive -- And he sure as hell sings NOW too. My point is that, for this particular version (English+Japanese), they likely spliced it together to go with the video footage that they liked the most. If you want proof that he sings now, there are MANY recent live clips of the song here on youtube and if you compare them, it is very obvious that it is live (and not lip-synched). Ralf Hütter is amazing and it's pretty incredible that you would fault him for his age...
@sg2massive -- anybody who can survive in music for so long, and still remain a pioneer, is quite exceptional. Whatever. You're probably just a troll and I took the bait, so um yeah... TL;DR = you don't know anything about kraftwerk =/
@mantra3000 Ralf says it's for effecting the voice, like putting a normal microphone near or far. It seems he's hiding his mouth to me too, maybe for the two versions of this live (german and english)
My brother brought home this 45 in 1980, it was neon yellow in a plastic sleeve (instaed of traditional paper).. thought it was so bizarre.. and I still have the 45 :-)
Because they experimented with Texas instrument calculators when they worked on the album computerworld. The calculators made sounds by every button, so you can make music with them. They played this song on little instruments and calculators in 1981 live concerts.

@spartan117ak
just ear the original version (80´s) and then compare.
the best performers has never been commercial, so, they are in the middle with this concert, this is not Madonna, minogue.
you need to ear they music to understand and have points to compare.
i can tell you that this is a privilege to see this by this gifted persons at this time.
and i can also tell you that part of this happens because the news artist´s have nothing with quality to show us, they just make copy paste
