I like your basic method here. At least you're not trying to steal Mike Lavallee's name "True Fire" like that amateur Chuck Bauman down in AZ. He claims Mike is "trying to get youTube" to ban his videos. The only thing Mike is concerned about is Chuck's breaking the law and using the TradeMarked and Copyrighted "True Fire". He dead wrong and he knows it. He's just pissed that Lavallee is 10 X the pro and gets better money for his craft. Chuck is a little better than hack level.

I airbrush all colors of True Fire, and agree with you stick-it isn't professional. So much more that could be done with that. looks like my background fire before I start the real fire licks. There is no depth, or dimension, and not enough transitions in the blue. Needs more than just the blue sharp edges. Plus, those aren't licks, they look like rock formations. not trying to be rude, but need some more practice. Check out Mike Lavelle if you want to see some good true fire.

Candy colors are bright transparent colors that you use to change the color of your flames in this case, it also helps create a 3D effect making the flames more realistic. Use it to tint certain parts of the flame licks or paint the entire flame in-between the solid colors. Candy gold for example helps give a glow to your "hot spots", candy red darkens, candy orange over solid yellow adds realisim to the yellow flames, sometimes giving a light green glow.
