@drakepaull You cannot join a Cadet Element during the Summer, there are usually on two Cadet Recruitment Sessions between October through May. The only thing in the Cadet Program that you pay for are Special Events (E.g March Break Trips) You get payed $60 per week at a Cadet Camp, and most events are free. Parade Uniform is Provided, However if you want a set of Combats, ( Olive Drab ONLY) than you must pay for it yourself. if you have further questions, feel free to ask.

I'm at a P.P.C.L.I core in British Columbia... i love the air cadets as my brother... there the only reason why the cadets are doing so well... :( its unfortunate to see a great thing like the royal canadian army cadets to be called a dying species by our CO. But as we still are called ARMY CADETS we strive for discipline TOP DRILL as our p1's. To maintain a standard... the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Standard.

@WolfTechz Yeah, are you in army cadets. Because if you are you probably wouldn't know the big things you need to know with a glider. I dare you to try Penhold Airfield's simulator. Try that, Its not very simple. And plus all of the Cadets going for their power license did quite good jobs on there landings and takeoffs at Penhold summer training center. And plus I like every kind of Cadets in Canada, Army, Sea and Air, I chose air because thats the only one in my community or town. So stop!!!

i believe it is if you get your pilots lisence throught air cadets. for the reason that you can get your privet pilots lisence for FREE! from that i think you would need to take some upgrade training to get to commerical pilot. so through cadets you save about 10-15k :) but i would check on that; im not a pilot

ya its true about getting paid. Staff cadets make 60 dollars a day and are there for 7 weeks. And course cadets get paid 60 dollars a week. And the courses vary from 2-6 weeks.
