Thank you. I remember you. For the past 3 yrs Nia has been in a Spanish only Immersion elementary school. All subjects are taught in Spanish so she is officially bi-lingual now. I have to get my Spanish together now. :)

Thanks again. Yes, I am her "stylist" :) Spanish is becoming the unofficial second language of the United States based on the amount of Spanish people who live here. However, most Americans do not see the value of being bilingual unfortunately. I am so glad that she got into this program at an early age. The earlier the children are in these programs, the faster they learn and become bilingual.

Well, I think it is great! Language is my favorite thing to read about, that and African-American history which I hope she will also learn about when she's ready for it. Though the first parts of it a child should learn should probably be about Ruby Bridges and also about Percy Julian, but not the scary stuff. The reason I am so into African-American history is when I was sixteen I heard of Rosa Parks :)
