  • is that the same girl from futureshorts' channel, the "Bale" short film?

  • Banksyyyyyyyyyyy bitches!!!

  • Exit through the gift shop....... into the streets

  • @larold2013 god, i love that movie

  • I think this track was written an recorded before that film. Im sure i got this single in 2007.

  • Is that the girl from Fishtank?

  • @MANC2311 Yes it is isnt it, thought she was a bit familiar, though I must say, that was a shit film in my humble opinion. This track however is dead good.

  • @twinklepigify Considering the hype(for the film)agreed.

  • I finally realized what this guy is singing about--STREET ARTISTS! Brilliant subtext.

  • amazing song. i just don't get the video.. at all.

  • reminds me of the smiths

  • I really didnt like Thierry at all...just me?

  • @SkimboarderKris the guy is odd....but he made a great documentary....and for talented artists like sweet toof, banksy, shepard fairey and alot more to let him shoot their work.....he must be a trustworthy guy

  • @WonderfulWhoa I'd agree with you, but he made a terrible documentary. Exit through the gift shop was made by Banksy

  • @Motives Mr Brainwash was made by Bansky.

  • Banksy's movie sent me here :)

  • Mister brain wash ftw.

  • Thumbs up if your a street artist!

  • Life is Beautiful - Thierry Guetta AKA MR BRAIN WASH! :)

  • this song makes me want to vomit

  • @fls13ec and @mmmodafoca i think it's good too. i liked the documentary, but i think it's dumb how people complain about Brainwash being crap when they probably suck at art. haha

  • @DrDungus

I have no complaints about MBW. He seems to have a nice family, it was his cousin who got him into street art, his business partner is his brother (not mentioned in the film), he became genuine friends with Fairey and Banksy. He just brought what he was good at to his art, buying low and marking up and getting his price. I might have bought that Hendrix print if I had been at the show, but not for the asking amount. ;O)

  • @fls13ec then you don't know art man Im sorry even if your a collector your oblivious to his cheap end of the bargain he basically was a cheaper version of schanbel for street art im sorry to say he is the same thing

  • @TheNYCutube

Seems like you like the name brand and don't put in the effort to judge the individual piece on its' own merits. Art = Beer?

  • @fls13ec the guy was name brand he made spray cans with the mona lisa....talk about mainstream if you ask me..It even depicts the buyers in the movie as a bunch of dull twats...Bansky is above what Thierry Guetta could even dream of...

  • @everyonetalkingaboutBanksy&MBW take your flame war somewhere else. Stop trying to be deep philosophical pussies about street art. Go somewhere else if you want to bitch about someone or his art. This is a video about this song. not a documentary that this song was on.

  • @DrDungus i completely agree with you, but it's a great documentary. it's really that good hahaha jk. Take it easy pal! :)

  • @DrDungus

I wouldn't know the song if it wasn't for the movie and they are both fantastic!

  • Mr. brain wash? that movie was funny!

  • all of that art was really great street art...but as soon as you think about selling it for money most of those pieces become worthless. Banksy sells his pieces to support his lifestyle, MBW just sold his pieces just to get rich.

  • I like that pigeon

  • The only reason I know this song is because that Mr. Brainwash is a douche.

  • @MoeJillionaire An immensely successful douche. He knew people, got really lucky, and managed to make something meaningless and cheap into something sensational and attractive. You have to respect his blind ambition, but he was a egotistical tool who didn't know his limits yet somehow came out a winner.

  • @xXTheBlackHaloXx

I think you mean he managed to make something sensational and attractive into something meaningless and cheap. Don't worry about mixing it up, I'm sure it was just a simple mistake.

  • @MrAluminumJacket I thought that half of the art in his final show was crap. He had some creative and interesting stuff, but most of the paintings he did had so little put into them, and were often just famous older pieces of art with glasses and a mustache. So then he hyped himself up, got quotes from Banksy and whatnot, and after getting on the front page of that L.A. magazine, people were so excited to be a part of something big they treated them like masterpieces.

  • @MrAluminumJacket Of course, that's just my opinion. I'm not too big on street art to begin with, so maybe it was actually REALLY GOOD art. I liked all of Invader's and Banksy's stuff, and a lot of other artists he recorded were really creative as well. But what MBW made just seemed really cheap to me to begin with.

  • @xXTheBlackHaloXx

I completely agree. Banksy is a true artist, and I adore the work that he does. MBW, on the other hand, was nothing more than a delusional douche, and the "art" he produced was nothing more than cheap knock-off crap.

  • @MrAluminumJacket mbw is just behind bansky but banksky is better btw mwb make the campbowl chicken noodle soup spreay can now thats somthing (NEW)

  • you guys do know that MBW was banksy's work right? He masterminded the entire thing to make fools of the people who are willing to pay huge amounts of money for something they were giving away for free.

  • @TheCADGuru Yep Basically mbw or at least his persona in the final parts of the film was a troll created by Bansky and shepard fairey.

  • @killingspiders1 Yea, hard to believe that these people are too stupid to realize that MBW

was Banksys masterwork. Just the name alone "Mr Brainwash" is a dead giveaway. Banksy is mocking

you and you still don't fukkin get it. You are brainwashed by what people tell you. By what BANKSY is telling you.

And you still bought it. Think People THINK! All of his art is about making you think. SO WHY DONT you

do it? Banksy hates you for being stupid

  • @TheCADGuru

Bansky isnt that great. Hes just another clever street artist with a good group of friends and business partners.

He copied the rat idea from Blek de Rat.

You guys all suck. Learn to research.

  • @imoutofideasforaname Never said he was great. Learn to read.

"Good Artists Borrow, Great Artists Steal"

  • @imoutofideasforaname Never said he was great. Learn to read.

"Good Artists Borrow, Great Artists Steal"

  • @TheCADGuru and he probably hates you for being a a drone and spewing garbage out like you know him personally

  • @pwnercomedy actually its NOT new, i hope that was sarcasm. Pop art has used tomato cans for years, Warhol did it i believe. He simply too pop art, much like Warhol, and used graffiti to change it.

Fact is, artists draw inspiration from others (myself included) and create a deviation of those artworks. Drawing 1-2 elements from several different peices.

Im an artist and i must say, there are copiers everywhere. I dont see why everyone is upset, if you want change, people need to stop buying crap

  • @MrAluminumJacket

Bansky started with rats, but he stole the rats from a graffiti artists in houston (represent). What the movie trying to convey isnt that copy cats are turds, but trying to sell something essentially free is like selling crap from thousands of dollars.

  • was that video supposed to mean something?

  • Life Remote Control was made by an insane Film maker/Artist ...

  • Mr. Brainwash was a hoax created by Banksy to take a piss at the consumerist world.

  • Banksy's a sell out.

  • @BrandoDMI1984 why, because people like his art? dumbass...

  • @krFaker Dude, Banksy spray painted like 20 buildings with, "Banksy's a sell out" I'm pretty sure he's jst quoting that.

  • @BrandoDMI1984 There is no such thing as a sell out it's just a man making money so he can stay alive and not be attacked by wolves in the street.

  • What was that movie that mbw made and it was shity?

  • @187sabbath Any movie that mbw made.

  • @187sabbath life remote control.., just to crazy

  • Life Remote Control? @187sabbath

  • Comment removed

  • @vourlok

  • is this a cover?

  • wow this song is the best ive heard in years

  • I feel like i just left a diner in the 50's. it just rained so the lights reflect off the street but its a clear night now. Then I'm cruising down the streets in a red cadillac on my way to a gift shop to pick up my friend BANKSY and then we drive through a city in the 1950's and when the song ends your back in 2010.... wow i'm high

  • Instead of a music video put pictures of Banksy's art.

  • How can any one not like this song ? 29 dislikes.

  • So what happened to the girl?

  • His agents are doing him a very poor job. Sack them all Richard, you are far better than an icecream commercial. Brilliant, just BRILLIANT.

  • @rustedtin Who cares if banksy made his film and was endorsing it!have you seen it?if you havent i suggest you do!he shows you so much more than just street art! 5 out of 5 for me!

  • @rustedtin go fuck yourself

  • Comment removed

  • Dont Buy the DVD thats the last thing Banksy would want, hes all about non profit. Buying it just endorses the corporations Banksy puts so much effort into scrutinising.

  • @ellmano If Banksy was all about non-profit, why would he have endorsed the film in the first place...

  • @23Josephhall in the film he says he makes it so people understand that street art is not about money... And besides... The promotion for this documentary hasnt gone mainstream...

  • @ellmano your an idiot, of course he wants to make money of the film. Are you not aware how much his pieces fucking sell for? He had a fucking showing in the movie with Brad Pitt.

  • Yes im aware of how much his pieces sell for. But how would Banksy claim it if hes anonymous?. His site specificly states that his pictures should be for non comercial use

  • @ellmano He has representatives

  • quick silver screen, documentaries, arts and culture, at the top : )

we all know he doesnt care

  • I'm a proud Sheffield local made even more proud by this song!

  • @sammaysammay You're fucking insane!

You have no taste in movies whatsoever.

  • Excellent video. It's a whole film in four minutes. The guy's a genius.

  • im gonna suck his dick

  • Epic

might go out in the streets tonight and show 'em all

    who they belong to

  • sorry but the comparison with morrisey is simply a mile out, Hawley can sing without creating an urge for one to throw oneself under a bus! I suspect Hawley isnt arrogant or supercillious either

  • All hail for the King of Sheffield.......

  • @benedicttucker, I was immediately 'taken' with this song right when the opening credits started. I turned to my friend and said..."we gotta look during the closing credits and see who this (music) artist is." Then at the end said "text me Richard Hawley so I can look up his stuff.."
