There are many theories that suggest it is in fact down to other factors. Most prominent is the impact of our Sun, this in fact follows a much closer trend than human burning of fossil fuels. @LudicrousBarchart I will start by saying I'm not a daily mail reader and think it's just idiotic half hearted assumptions. But the scientific community is divided on the impact of humans. There are many theories that suggest it is in fact down to other factors. Most prominent is the impact of our Sun, this in fact follows a much closer trend than human burning of fossil fuels. It appears that it isn't because green lobby groups get more time for their voice.
