If one wants to make real changes, one needs to make incentives towards alt. energy technologies more cost efficient. Taxing negative externalities, carbon in particular, may decrease the consumption, but the world, USA in particular will not cease in its consumption of carbon if the alternatives are not less expensive. all this will amount to is another tax.

He is speaking to and for those individuals, not the commited group who seek the facts of climate change. His opinions are to be placed in the same file where birthers and flat-earthers lay. Opinions are valid on the senate floor so far as they do not contaminate the rights of tax paying citizens. His opinions, therefore, are null and void and evidence should be professed.

I wish that the voters who elect our next Congress were aware of evidence, not the ideological positions of those who hold that office.
