dead island has the worst ending ever not only does any of the main character care about jin's death but it make u spend about 4 hours helping people on the island just so the main characters can leave them n having to fight another hunk as a final boss battle is horrible :/ nothing like wat the commercial had us thinking

A lot of people didn't get the ending, and neither did I, until now. Just think about it, they didnt get infected because they were couriers. If they are leaving the island, that means they're going to spread the virus to whoever they come into contact with. Its like left 4 dead. This ending screams Dead Island 2

I don't finished the game, but it seems, that averagely it takes only few hours after a contact with an infected for the symptoms to show up. The player remains with survivors in the lifeguard station for example for a longer period, but it seems, that everybody remains healthy. So I believe, that the virus (that is as far as I know is a mutation of Kuru) spreads only by bites of the infected. That doesn't mean, that they were not shooted down by Aussie Air Force before arrival! :)

@Southall6 (SPOILER ALERT) There are three diffrent types of people in dead island the ones who can be infected, the ones who cant be affected (the protagonist), and finally the carriers the only known carrier is Ope's daughter. Charon must be planning to make this virus go global so the twist of the game is that Ryder was not the antagonist he is just another poor bastered who was victimed to the virus Charon is the antagonist.

@MegaGuy1965 they are setting up a sequel. it will be called dead world... the announcer on the radio mentions a dangerous man name charon, the hacker. and how he is still locked up in the prison and no prisoners will be getting off the island. well the prisoner pilot named kevin is charon, he was the one who hacked the security system to get you into the armory room. notice how logan says he can't wait to have all his old problems back, and kevins grins saying the world will never be the same.
