I love all FF's,but FF7 is the best to me,because it was tailor made for sequal's,and prequals,and side stories,look at crisis core,they did alot with just Zack,and what about the clones,they made advent children,it's a pretty left open story all together.Also I'd say FF9 was fun,but that's all,and the story was just okay to me.Even still it's my third favorite.
I remember when people got mad at Adam Sessler's review of Dirge of Cerberus. That was ridiculous, because the game wasn't that great, it was just praised since it was part of Final Fantasy VII. I beat it just recently and I honestly must say it should've been just another movie.
Aside from some bosses Kingdom Hearts II is pretty easy. But it's still one of my favorite games. I agree with the camera, there are times where I had no clue what was going on and that was annoying.

I loved FF IX (even beat it twice). Forced myself to finish FF VIII (it was good though). And really enjoyed FF VII. Never played FF X (but I so wanted to) and never really cared for FF XII. I'm exited for FF XIII but only because the protagonist is so hot!

Fanboys tend to be very bad. The worst fanboys out there, or at least from what I have heard, are the Sonic fanboys. That's disappointing because Sonic is both my favorite video game character and favorite franchise.
Thankfully, I am not a fanboy. Rather, I'm a neuteral Sonic fanatic. I like Final Fantasy as well, but it's not my favorite franchise because many of the games I played...they disappointed me personally (VII and X are my favorites; like IV and V as well).
The Griffith and Drummond argument is just tearing the fanbase apart. Along with the 2D vs 3D, and the "Get rid of the characters" arguments. It makes me sick to see my favorite game series torn apart, and Sega's mistakes aren't making it any better.

I love Kingdom Hearts, but yeah...Kingdom Hearts 2 was just waaaay too easy. All you had to do to beat the final boss was button mash and overuse the reaction commands. xD Sephiroth on KHII was the hardest KH boss I've ever fought. It took me, like, 25 tries to beat him. lol
hahaha, I know you like the final fantasys and kingdom hearts. But what you don't like, are fanboys. Neither do I. I think that being a fanboy, what it does really, is it keeps you from playing other great games. Or, enjoying other titles. It's so stupid. Like xbox kids hating on ps3 kids, or ps3 kids hating on xbox kids. Why not get both, and play all of the great games. Instead, since they don't have the other system, they feel the need to hate that system.
BTW I never had a problem with the camera in KH2 because you have a full 360 degree camera on the Right Analog Stick as opposed to KH1 where you control it with the L2 and R2 buttons.
P.S. if anyone does say Half-Life is mindless and they're not joking like you were they need to be sent to a mental hospital.
I love FFVII, but I hate the fanboys. I enjoy both KH and FF as a game, but I don't like to hear people rave about them being the best game in the world. I'll admit, I'll have my moments, but I can't stand it when people say that "Blah is better than blah," and so on and so forth. I figure that game is suppose to be played for the gameplay. Xenogears totally owns FF7 in terms of storyline. You remember ID (Fei's destroyer persona) That character gave me chills down my spine. He's way more menacing then Sephiroth. (that music!) Fei is such a complex character to I could go on and on about how much I love that game. lol im looking forward to the video.
Never played Xenogears but I've heard of it. And FF7 was certainly overrated. It was great for it's time, but looking at it toady, it simply doesn't feel special since most of the other FF games and other RPGs have used the same futuristic setting. In fact, I'd still say 7 was the worst of the PS1 trilogy, with 8 being the best and 9 in the middle.
If you can I will help you get a psone emulator, because IMO its a must play, it has one of the best most emotionally moving stories I have ever played, Xenogears was unfortunatley overlooked because it came out the fall season of 1998 and two games overshadowed which are great games, in thier own right and those were Metal gear solid and Zelda: Ocarina of time...

I apologize for judging you second of all as for xenogears the story is actually quite different from most jrpgs, the amount of depth the story has is ridiclous and its very good imo, and the story imo is one of the best in an rpg, even the gameplay has some very unique gameplay elements to jrpgs....its worth tracking down or emulating...

I'm really excited for 13 personally. I'm not a HUGE Final Fantasy fan (I have a love/hate relationship with the series), but it looks awesome. When they set the American release date for the game, I'm preordering it in a nanosecond. I'm also buying Advent Children on Blu-ray just for the Demo.

(I didn't like it when I first got it many years ago, and I still don't now.) As said in my response to DarknessTheCurse's Opinions video, I had run-ins(violent run-ins, but I'm like that) with both an FF7 fanboy and an FF10 fanboy. Oh Christ, I might take a few comments on this.

Right, onto Kingdom Hearts. I just want to make this clear: I thought the first KH was horrible. I really fucking hated it. Easy on the Hard Difficulty, excluding the Sephiroth fight, and the camera was HORRIBLE. The combat felt all stiff and weird, the lock-on was all over the universe, and I won't continue rambling on.
Anyway, believe it or not, that FF7 fucker is a KH fanboy as well. Jesus Christ. So, one of my friends recently picked the first KH, and we were talking about it.
He felt that it was a mediocre game, I said fair enough, and rambled on about how I thought it was a horrible game, and that fucker comes up and starts whinging AGAIN. Only, he's played this game. Wow, I'm suprised too.
Anyway, he tries to put over some bullshit, and I pop it down with a bit of ranting, not yelling, but a bit angrily getting my point across. He calls my points bullshit, tries to say that I'm "not a true gamer", and then I wheel out the anger pie.
I begin by pointing out the horrible lock-on, and the shitty combat. This is all in my opinion, by the way. Then I point out the poor animation of the faces, and poor graphics here and there.
He tries to start spouting more bullshit, there's another ranting war, and history repeats itself. He spouts too much fanboyish bullshit and irritates the shit out of me, and I crack him again.
These fanboys are fucking horrible, they take every negative comment like a headshot and come running.
They cannot accept one negative word, and if I were to review these games, I would be buried in fangirls and fanboys.

There's really nothing in the games to indicate they have any connection. However, the creators have siad that they are. They never completely fleshed out the idea, but somewhere in a roughly 10k year gap, the people of FFX learned space travel, migrated to the FF7 world, and basically forgot all of their technology for some reason.
9 is a very underated game IMO...What the fuck is this whole thing about FF characthers being emo...go play those games and you will see that none of the characters are emo(or if your still unsure go wacth some fucking shonen anime...instant emo chracters)...the FF and KH fanboys fucking ruin the franchise...and btw KH:CoM was one of my least favourite RPGs
Btw I don't understand the problems with the camera and plus there is no hard difficulty on KH 2...If any FF games were gonna be linked it would be FFIV and FFVII(might have been IX) but the only related thing between those games is the name of the planet.
the thing about people trying to place FF6 as the same world of FF7, I can give some idea as to why they do that. If you look at both world maps, you can see some similarities almost looks like the same world. Also the fact that FF7 was originally going to be on the N64 as FFVI-2 basically kinda points at that again, like they took some of the elements they already had and recycled them for the new FF7 on psx. anyway yeah fanboys can be kinda annoying at times good rant solid points.
I loved the Kingdom Hearts games, as well as a few of the FF games. I do agree that Kingdom Hearts II was a little easy. I'm not sure if Final Mix+ will ever come out in english. If it does, I'd love to play it because I heard that it had some hard boss fights.

mmmmmm......same here,but I do know that DQ is a huge hit in japan and the slime enemies are a popular mascot,but yeah,DQ has somewhat of a cult mature fanbase compared to FF Tards and KH fanbrat,mainly because DQ's storylines are'nt as Deep as FF/KH,I Recommend the DS version of DQ4 it's a good classic to have in your DS collection if you like FF4(another one of my favs.)

Good rant. I feel bothered more about the KH fanboys than the FFVII+ fanboys personally. I didn't get into Kingdom Hearts much, but hey, I dig the music hehe. As for VII, I like the game and certainly my favorite amongst the PSX installment, but I feel the hype for it really got blown out of proportions. Fanboys I had dealt with seem to have some denial on the existance of non Square-Enix RPGs series or just think it would all suck in comparisons. I enjoy Shin Megami Tensei/Persona games a lot.

I loved FF IX (even beat it twice). Forced myself to finish FF VIII (it was good though). And really enjoyed FF VII. Never played FF X (but I so wanted to) and never really cared for FF XII. I'm exited for FF XIII but only because the protagonist is so hot!

Fanboys tend to be very bad. The worst fanboys out there, or at least from what I have heard, are the Sonic fanboys. That's disappointing because Sonic is both my favorite video game character and favorite franchise.
Thankfully, I am not a fanboy. Rather, I'm a neuteral Sonic fanatic. I like Final Fantasy as well, but it's not my favorite franchise because many of the games I played...they disappointed me personally (VII and X are my favorites; like IV and V as well).

I love Kingdom Hearts, but yeah...Kingdom Hearts 2 was just waaaay too easy. All you had to do to beat the final boss was button mash and overuse the reaction commands. xD Sephiroth on KHII was the hardest KH boss I've ever fought. It took me, like, 25 tries to beat him. lol

BTW I never had a problem with the camera in KH2 because you have a full 360 degree camera on the Right Analog Stick as opposed to KH1 where you control it with the L2 and R2 buttons.

I love FFVII, but I hate the fanboys. I enjoy both KH and FF as a game, but I don't like to hear people rave about them being the best game in the world. I'll admit, I'll have my moments, but I can't stand it when people say that "Blah is better than blah," and so on and so forth. I figure that game is suppose to be played for the gameplay. (I don't know if I'm making any sense...)

Xenogears totally owns FF7 in terms of storyline. You remember ID (Fei's destroyer persona) That character gave me chills down my spine. He's way more menacing then Sephiroth. (that music!) Never played Xenogears but I've heard of it. And FF7 was certainly overrated. It was great for it's time, but looking at it toady, it simply doesn't feel special since most of the other FF games and other RPGs have used the same futuristic setting. In fact, I'd still say 7 was the worst of the PS1 trilogy, with 8 being the best and 9 in the middle.

I really glad the characters aren't magical and have a high ranking status from a kingdom or organization.
Although I see a little of gameplay of the game, I bet this gameplay would be the best in Final Fantasy.

Right, onto Kingdom Hearts. I just want to make this clear: I thought the first KH was horrible. I really fucking hated it. Easy on the Hard Difficulty, excluding the Sephiroth fight, and the camera was HORRIBLE. The combat felt all stiff and weird, the lock-on was all over the universe, and I won't continue rambling on.

There's really nothing in the games to indicate they have any connection. However, the creators have siad that they are. They never completely fleshed out the idea, but somewhere in a roughly 10k year gap, the people of FFX learned space travel, migrated to the FF7 world, and basically forgot all of their technology for some reason.

the thing about people trying to place FF6 as the same world of FF7, I can give some idea as to why they do that. If you look at both world maps, you can see some similarities almost looks like the same world. Also the fact that FF7 was originally going to be on the N64 as FFVI-2 basically kinda points at that again, like they took some of the elements they already had and recycled them for the new FF7 on psx. anyway yeah fanboys can be kinda annoying at times good rant solid points.

mmmmmm......same here,but I do know that DQ is a huge hit in japan and the slime enemies are a popular mascot,but yeah,DQ has somewhat of a cult mature fanbase compared to FF Tards and KH fanbrat,mainly because DQ's storylines are'nt as Deep as FF/KH,I Recommend the DS version of DQ4 it's a good classic to have in your DS collection if you like FF4(another one of my favs.)

Nice job on this one. This I 100% agree with. Final Fantasy, no matter that I dont play the games. I respect the HELL out of the franchise and its history, and influence on games.
Those idiots using ''emo'' for everything is ridiculous. Kingdom Hearts is a neat idea. But Final Fantasy obsessives are he WORST in my opinion. They make it seem like FF is the ONLY rpg that matters. And Magus is completely on point here.
Ffs, and Madden obssesors RUIN rpgs for me, and I dont play them

And believe me, I could write a bible on how much I hate the REALLY bad, and horrid slash or completely out of character Fan fiction that people write. Believe me, Ive seen Vegeta/Goku love shit. Its horrid.

Good rant. I feel bothered more about the KH fanboys than the FFVII+ fanboys personally. I didn't get into Kingdom Hearts much, but hey, I dig the music hehe. As for VII, I like the game and certainly my favorite amongst the PSX installment, but I feel the hype for it really got blown out of proportions. Fanboys I had dealt with seem to have some denial on the existance of non Square-Enix RPGs series or just think it would all suck in comparisons. I enjoy Shin Megami Tensei/Persona games a lot.

lol I really hate the Final Fantasy Fanboys! I said this in one of my early rants about a religion based off FF7 called the Church of Sephiroth. I don't know if its real or not, but if it is, they just earned the "no Life" award lol
