I don't see why you didn't go through the tunnel to start with. Much easier to wipe out the toadies and emplacement guns when you come up through the hill.
Heh, thats always how I did it... Cool! Also, if you choose to go the long way, there is a route about halfway around those hills if you go straight instead of going for the dam. And if you're in for the long haul, you can way around the lake to the other side of where you start and hit that vulture and orion before they power up. Either way, you can hit the striders and owens that normally would come up behind you. Good job!
That's quite an interesting way to act in this mission. Seems like I always underestimate jump jets, lol. Using LRMs against vehicles feels like a waste to me, though.
Im just playing this game and its awesome, but I have one question: HOW DO YOU REPAIR IN MFB? Tutorial doesnt work in my version and I just cant figure it out. I know how to deploy MFB, I know how to tell my wingman to repair (and he repairs easily), but I just cant repair myself. Is there a button I must press or what? Any advice?
I believe in Battletech canon most clans look down on their use, but there's one who uses them frequently. In the computer games, yes they are useless, but in the boardgame they have the nasty ability to actually swarm your mech and be very annoying.
I remember using an elemental to nail an atlas. I had to circle that thing jump jetting every time he fired. I takes a long time to kill something that big with only a small laser.
No computer game so far has done Elementals any justice, but they are dangerous even to mechs because they can climb onto a mech and tear it apart where it cannot shoot back. Elemental Battle Armor is not piloted, it is worn.
I used a registered version of FRAPS, (which is why there's no watermark) and I saved it as either a wmv or avi file to get it on Youtube. Mind you, it has to be under 10 minutes.

@harkeill I think I forgot about that tunnel to be honest.

Well usually it is, but you get tons and tons and tons of LRM 5 ammo that you you never really use, so I figured, "why not?"

*chuckle* Try out AncientXFreako's MW3 Mod. It'll change your mind about the usefulness of Elementals.
Fighting 3 or 4 is just amusement. Fighting a CLOUD of them is something else.

You have to shut down your mech. I believe the default key for that is S.

Thanks :)

Those elementals are useless. Why does the clan even bother keeping them around.

I think the clans didn't look down on them. Otherwise they wouldn't breed special pilots for them.

This mission was pretty hard. The amount of fortifications and units challenged my abilities as a Lance Leader. Very well done.

thanks! I find that the AI in this game isn't too smart when it comes to long-range combat.
