  • In the summer of 2002 I maneuver my 2000 Wrangler Sport across The Mighty Black Bear on 3 different occasions. Most people that knows the hazards of the Bear would never attempt it after once, but I was addicted to the adrinalyn rush. Too bad I moved away from Durango or I would cross it every chance possible. Thanks for the video.

  • I drove the black bear pass in a 57 B model Mack, That was one wild ride.

  • @NHACummins good god man, why?

  • @spiker84 Just to prove it could be done.

  • What program did you use to make this video. I love black bear thanks for your incredible video.

  • I used Sony Vegas.

  • is this road only 1 way

  • Ran BBP late Sep ('02 4Runner) , cold, icy and snow at the top, made it even more fun!

Good vid, but it doesn't come close to what it really feels like. It's 100% KICK-BUTT!

  • The video is good, but nothing does the staircase justice except for experiencing it yourself...

  • DId this from the Ouray side with the kids in the jeep but stopped before we got to the peak, had no idea till now what wuz on the telluride side till now! Would have loved to have done it but hindsight with the kids in the vehicle..... we'll save it for the next outting without the kids! LOL

  • That's amazing. We just got back from doing Imogene Pass (it's on here). I saw Black Bear from there. You made it look so easy. I don't know about Pucker Hill. Cool video. Thank you.

  • Nice vid....but you're still in a jeep....

    Two wheels rule....I know....it's a jeep thing... I wouldn't understand.

  • That is the best Black Bear video I have ever seen! Great effort! That road is, um, uh, not really a road at all. I checked it off my list last summer. I can die a happy man, but I would run it again in a NY minute. Thanx.

  • Too much "artsy" dve..been there..the trip is what it's all about....try Tomboy Road out of Telluride.

  • How was pucker Hill? It looks pretty Steep in Dave2450's video. Do you lower your tire pressure at all?

  • Pucker hill is crazy steep and rocky. It looks impossible but it's not bad once your on it. You're taught never to ride the breaks but that's a must on it if you want to stay on the road. Lowering air pressure will make the ride smoother so it's a good idea.

  • Nice camerawork! I wish I had more time to shoot on our trip in late September - our first priority was no accidents while shooting video on Black Bear!
