Very solid performance -- better than the Rolling Stones' with its obvious tape splice after the first verse (note sudden increase in tempo) and Jagger's mispronunciation of city names. I do wish the audio were better.
Hi guys. Your version is clearly inspired by the Stones cover of the Chuck Berry song. and your version inspires me to do it rather that way than the slower arrangement we do now (I sent you a clip from one of our last concerts). keep on rocking, and best regards from Mexico ("Work is Hard - WiP")
Route 66 is a Bobby Troupe, not a Chuck Berry, song. But this is unimportant...what is important is that you are putting out some good covers of some good songs. Would like to hear more.
most bands playing is playing for the fun of it. you must have never been in a band. i was in h.s. and college. never good enough to make it, but we did have some good gigs. anyway, if you play an instrument and it quits being fun, you should stop and re think your job or hobby.
All those below critisizing, don't you appreciate musicians/music? It sounds as if you don't. These guys and all true musicians do it for the love of music and we all gain everything from practice. Yes give a critique but it would be nice if you weren't so shallow and immature. Anyway the band are great for paying tribute to Chuck, rock on guys, you're great.
It's very kind of you... thank you for your comment... It seems that those guys who critisize so easily, don't really love music in general and rock'n'roll particularly...
I just turned age 66. I took that California trip. I left Chicago in 1941, traveled thru Michigan, 1946, Montana 1948, Joplin Missouri, 1960, Oklahoma City, 1999, Amarillo, some 2,000 miles to Barstow, San Bernardino, California 2007. What a long trip it has been. Youtube:: paul8kangas
I, too, was lucky enough to hit the road via my thumb and travel route 66 a few times. Met some of the coolest/craziest people along the way. Learned a lot about life, America, and people during those trips. My favorite part is from St. Louis thru Barstow - lots of lonely desolation! Albequerque (sp?) is a cool point, as you rise up to find this city down in the valley. Ahh, to be young and healthy again!! Travel on my friend!
Be better if he took time to learn the words!

it's out of sync. Youtube's fault.

Weird. The sound we hear is not the sound that is coming from the band playing in the video. Singings don't match what we see on video.

hey, your voice DOES sound like Mick Jagger's!
and sauciflard, it's supposed to sound like that ;)
