Ah, the 90s.... love it! This is when anime and manga were considered cult. I still clearly remember my introduction to anime. Iczer 1, Ambassador Magma (90s OVA) and Ranma 1/2 the Movie 2: Nihao My Concubine, courtesy of my brother during his vacation time.
@HDibbles Keep in mind this is was done in 1990, so Anime hasn't caught on in the United States yet. Obviously today, the Anime industry in the United States is much more recognized and films like Akira are well known. (Partially due to the release of the Matrix Trilogy)
@HDibbles Now that I think about it, this aired on MTV, three years before Beavis and Butt-head. How ironic that they say "wacky world of Japanese Comics," when in just three years time, MTV will be known for two 15-year olds who unintentionally influence American children.
