yes 2 filters...our fish are mature and create alot of waste. they are mostly chiclids and move the rocks off the underground filter so the underground doesnt do much but helps to pull the waste down then the rena takes it out ...but the vaccuming really helps.

I've noticed that on a lot of fish video's with feeders that people say they're no good for feeding. Any fish is high in protien, and provide energy. What do you think most bigger fish eat in the wild? Smaller fish, amongst other things. Though feeding ONLY feeder fish is a bad idea, and you should suppliment their diet with other foods such as pellets and bloodworms. In this video, for example, they're doing just that.

you can buy boxes like that that just sit on the top like that at a fish store. They are for breeding but work well for feeder fish also.

You can't just let your oscar eat a bunch of goldfish at once or it will get a fatty liver. Gold fish are like dog treats for oscars.

Oscars mean buggers , my friend feed them chunks of chicken and his was huge(literally ate his piranha) and took off the tip of his dads finger , it you want one they aren't to hard to find but just be careful cause they do BITE!

we have a sturdy lid,front and back. we don't worry, we take it off for the feeding. and he's 12 inches big.:)
