  • Just because a woman covers up entirly does not mean her faith is better nor that she is more pure... A unvield modest woman maybe more modest than some hijabis wearing short sleeves and going around with thier boyfriends. Anyways point is doesnt Matter what you wear everything is your intention. Funn how Niqab isnt allowed in hajj LOL but still omen have the right to wear what they wish as long as modesty is involved (if they are muslim)

  • sad that guys cant just look at girls and be happy to be alive. instead the women are made to suffer mans immaturity.

  • Anybody know which song is'it?

  • superbe femme - le niqab se démocratise avec elle

  • superbe femme - le niqab se démocratise

  • Since when did a woman's body become such an awful thing?! Everyone deserves to feel wonderful! If anything this ad normalizes Muslim women.. The men who watch this and are angry probably beat their wives.

  • This is disgusting. Any religion that treats women like this is disgusting, and will earn you a place in Hell.

  • She's booked her self a place in he'll.... Early reservation. Lol

  • Some ignorant people here even thought that she is a Muslim woman. Even if she is one, then she is Muslim by name because islam doesn't allow that.

I believe if you bring a normal guy looking at a woman wearing a burka and another wearing pants as the girl here, he would say "I can see a girl asking for it and another acting like a cave woman". That's the honest answer because I have heard it. But you know what? the one wearing the burka at least didn't look like a whore.

  • @gothictiamat aha, so?

  • Finally, Mirram Wimmer is not a Muslim or even Arabian woman. And yeah you can dress anything as you want, but the burka, the kilts, the nuns uniform, etc are symbols rather than being just clothes.

I can wear a kilt, but I cant make fun of it. You can wear the burka, but you shall not make fun of it as well. And showing in a commercial your whole body and wearing then the burka is a way of making fun of it because it makes the burka of no use like I said.

  • @gothictiamat true.. this commercial just trivializes the whole burka. what they wear underneath is kept to themselves in real life.. so this whole commercial is bogus

  • 3rd- If you really vote for seeing beautiful women naked, what if she was your mum or sister or girl friend? What if they are caught by a spy camera like that? ARE WOMEN JUST A TOOL OF YOUR ENTERTAINMENT, ARE THEY JUST A WAY TO SATISFY YOUR LUST? HAVE YOU EVER STARRED IN ONE'S EYES INNOCENTLY AND SAYING FROM THE BOTTOM OF YOUR HEART SHE IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AS WELL?

This is the answer for those who love watching naked women like hungry horny dogs and pigs."

  • OK, thanks for your reply. It's time to clarify then six more issues here beside the 1st. here we go:

2nd- Although the burka is not mandatory by islam, it's preferred specially for those who are more religious. It is being worn to cover the body, to protect the woman from perverts, rape and the envy of men towards her man if she is beautiful. The funny thing is that sinner in the video is showing her body at the beginning and then covering it with the burka which makes it for her of no use.

  • I think this advert was aimed to be a controversial advert that gets people talking and it's dont that. It's not that bad, i mean what's exactly wrong with it? I have personally seen women in Hijabs looking through sexy lingerie. However saying that it does sexualise women in Burkas lol. but I'm sure people do that anyway lol, it's all in the eyes :P

  • @gothictiamat. , maybe this ad is just an ad, maybe this women feels comfortable in her head gown , maybe its not a god(allah) given right that muslim women are the only ones allowed to wear a head gown ,we are all entitled tp wear what we please what ever cast race religion, discrimanation is only discrimenent to those that percieve and take things personally to them sleves and othes that listen ,what a great add cant wait for the xrated version !

  • What if she was dressing like a nun instead of wearing the burka huh?

"1st- It induces people by governments to vote for banning the burka by illustrating how beautifully Muslim women can be without it.

  • ULEH!

  • qui peut me dire de qui est la musique de cette vidéo ?

  • Wow! I have mixed feelings about this video. I was going to link to it on Facebook but was afraid that I would upset my Muslim friends. But I am a Muslim, too, and part of my reaction was that it was so refreshing to see a woman wearing a burqa who is just a woman underneath! The media runs the idea into the ground that burqas and niqabs are sinister, but here we see something quite different. It's good to see that it's not a bomb she's wearing under her burqa. How nice to see a sexy Muslimah!

  • i am a muslim woman as well and i like the ad .

it is not at all offensive and the truth is, whenever i go lingerie shopping i see woman in burkas buying the sexiest stuff.

  • What I really don't understand here is why people tend to fight over an ad! :)

Ok you may like it or not, just say what you want but please remember that's only a TV ad created to sell lingerie, not to offend ANY religion or woman.

Like I wrote here before, IMHO this is a positive ad because it shows that Muslim woman can (and are) sexy too. Which is true and good.

But hey, that's only my opinion and I didn't even create this ad so I may be wrong :)

  • its a fatva written by arab men which says that women have to close their whole head. There is no passage in the qur'an that forces women to wear burka. There is a passage in quran that approximates men and women to close parts of the body which are parts you have to shame for.

Use your brains, don't be a slave to the opinion of others who profit by the spiritualism of some people.

  • Secking 07, The Holly Quran says "hide your adornment" not to hide parts "u have shame for" may be u should read the Quran first. isnt women's hair, their necks and shoulders..isnt it adornment?

  • haha,i m muslim & this commecrial is perfect:)

  • hmm why they should stick on to muslims clothes. if you are advertisng your underwear you should show qomething that you own. Muslim culture and religion is not an adv. tool for nonbelivers.

  • @hulkddr what kind of argument is that? come on...

  • Am i wrong? this topic is one of the most sensitive topics ever. Sex end religion.

  • of course it's a sensitive topic but your argument was that only believers are adressed here. so should there be special advertising for every religion? if so, that's sad...

  • Love it :)

  • Oh, and the fact that "sexiness" is not a word should be the third strike! Hahaha

  • While I think this advertisement had good intentions with its message that feeling sexy is for everyone (as good as selling lingerie can go anyway), I don't think that they did it the right way. The nudity was the first strike. I mean how dumb can you be? And her only going out in her skibbies under her niqab was the second strike. No one does that, and you don't have to be a Muslim to know that. I like the idea of the commercial, and the message, but the attempt to put it into action failed.

  • Are you kidding? This is an incredible ad that focuses on the woman, says that it's not important what you put on, how you dress and what your religion is. Because what's important it's you and the way you feel about yourself.

I really don't know how you can see it as a way to insult Muslim women. Then again maybe you're stuck in that stupid politically correct way of thinking where, if something is not flat and "normal", it's bad...

  • Mmm...nope. I'm saying that AS a Muslim woman. I first found out about this ad when it was posted to an Islamic feminist's website, and ALL of the comments said the same thing. And going out in a burqa and your underwear is akin to going out in a trench coat and nothing else - trashy. And speaking as a Muslim woman who gets hit on because I wear a scarf and men think it's some sort of notch on their belt to bag me, I find it offensive.

  • @margotscoat ... surely your greatest offense (according to the Qur'an) should be that the ad shows an uncovered female body? Why did you not mention that in your list of reasons why the ad is bad? And is it wrong because it "fetishizes and objectifies Muslim women", or because it does that to all women? In your opinion, if the ad were not showing a Muslim women, wold it be more acceptable?

  • Now why in the world would I be offended that people who have never read the Qur'an and do not follow Islamic belief show an uncovered female body? Rhetorical question. I didn't list it because they are not Muslim, therefore it is a moot point.

If the ad were of a woman that was not fetishized for her race or religion, then it wouldn't necessarily offend me because that's what many ads with women in them do, and I just don't have the time to care. :)

  • PREACH!

  • PREACH

  • cont.

The fake tribal music, the idea that we're all sexually repressed and need to somehow do something to be UNrepressed, the implication that the only liberation comes from wearing sexy underthings, not to mention the implication that all Muslim women are hotties ready to go at all times. OR that we DO NOT wear this, and this commercial is somehow showing a "rebel". I don't know any Muslim women who don't own lingerie. Including single ones. When I saw this it was labeled "media tards". Apt

  • preach!

  • yeah u r are absolutely right! The commercial doesn't show the women going out and flashing ppl udner her burqa or something etc It shows that everyone can feel sexy and she is admiring her sex appeal and beauty at home like any women who wears a burqa or regular clothing would! So I agree it shows a good message!

  • @mendone

For Liaison Dangereuse It's important what you buy for your underwear...it's a mistake to confuse provocation with commercial purpose, with the attention to the human rights and feelings!

  • A very creative ad - Bravo!
