Man, I could write a book. What a time warp watching this. In '70 I was 12 living in Virginia but thanks to my lovely Oma I flew on KLM 707s from JFK to Schiphol & back all through those years. Seeing the inside of the airport brings back memories. And even this cheesey gangster (whatever) movie here, never seen it before but I can just see my Opa sitting back watching something like this. Man, what a time that was, so young, don't know how good ya have it. Nothing's permanent.
@kolbpilot Great memories, and we were lucky to have witnessed those times. KLM never had 707s though, it would have been the DC-8 that you flew on, like in this clip.
@dihowe55 Now you have me scratching my head. I can distinctly walking to the KLM plane & being impresses with the distinctive pitot tube that came out of the 707s tail, looking like some sort of spear. 707s from JFK to Schiphol & back. Late '60s, early '70s. Later on I flew MartinAir & remember how ratty their DC8 was. But yes, I just researched it, and, KLM never had 707s. Here I thought I was on a 707. How the memory fades. I do wish, however, I would've kept all the toys they gave me.
Puppet On A Chain is actually a very good film, but totally different from the action films that Hollywood makes today. I've always believed that the Bond film Live and Let Die stole its idea of the speedboat chase from Puppet On A Chain, which had a very similar speedboat chase but which is inferior because they didn't have the Bond film's budget. However, if you want to see an action film without mindless sex, violence and explosions, watch Puppet On A Chain.
