Omi just uses the regular cottage cheese that can be bought in the Canadian markets. (You see her using two different types because one container simply needed to be used up!) The recipe calls for 1 cup and that should be the right amount. If the dough is still too dry, then add a bit more. Hope that helps. Franka

I have my grandchildren help and watch , when I bake stollen, which I often give a gifts for people who live alone and friends. Isn't the Christmas season wonderfull.
