Hard to say if this guy does a good job or not. While he does seem to give a bad impression of the "typical" American, full of jokes and irreverence for the deep and important culture in these ancient cuisines, he also gives his audience an opportunity to actually consider foods and cultures that most likely would just never cross their minds other wise, or worse, be repulsive.

Aw I love this guy, he's adventurous and eats all sorts of food, and is very natural in the way he describes his experiences. You can tell he's also very respectful of other people's cultures, and isn't proud and pretencious like other food critics on travel & living. 8)
