Spectactular display but looked like a disaster waiting to happen with all those balloons in the air at the same time & in such close proximity to each other!
lol then you no nothing of balloons :P. at festivals, and particularily this one, with 30 or more balloons, the pilots get their ground crews to help let him know if another balloon is above him (as he cannot see because of the envelope) or if one is coming up from under him. Completely safe.

I think hot air balloons get their name from....ahhh.....hot air. hot air rises, propane burners heat the air inside of the balloon making it less dense or lighter than the air surrounding it causing it to rise. or it's magic... not really sure on that.
