  • I like how you hear Victor calling for his Father in the background "DAAAAADYYYY!" Pretty creepy! I wish that was in the movie! Or the second! 1:20

  • Just saw the movie and thought it was great!

  • the sequal hatchet 2 is coming out october 2010. the girl at the end apparently got away...

  • The shots werent in the film because this teaser was filmed before even one frame of the actual movie was shot. Enough of a buzz came out of the trailer that they actually got investors to fund the movie to actually make it. Adam Green is a genius

  • This movie was funny and bloody. Yea I turned my head so what lol. But I don't think anything top Saw 6. I had to turn my head like half the movie lol. But this movie I give 3 out of 5. I don't like it when horror movies make the killer invincible... which is like 75 percent of all horrors lol. I mean seriously how many times does one have to kill the killer it's ridiculously that messes up the whole movie. Splinter... the most intelligent, common sense horror I seen.

  • THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BOOK EVERYONE! I've seen it, I think its great. Better then the crap "horror" were getting in thearters these days

  • those last 3 or 4 shots were not even in the film. Though I haven't seen this teaser trailer, but any ways this was a kick ass horror film. One of the best

  • very good,,

  • what the hell the book isnt bout this nonsense its not even about horror so what the hell i hate when people change the story but anyway this movie is the scariest thing ive ever hear fo anyway i wouldt dare go see it

  • this is by no means the scariest movie,i have seen scarier, but i did like it,i havent seen the book, but probally would rather watch the movie,go see it if you get the chance,,

  • dude the book hatchet has nothing to at all with this movie lol they arent even close in the scale of story telling

  • does anyone know if this movie was successful because i want a seuqel!! I love this movie it's so fucking scary and funny!

  • this is alittle difernt from the trailer. the naration not the pictures. the pics were WAY diffrent. in the trailer, it says "some mean children went to victor's house, and burned it." not play with fircrakers...

  • i have hatchet unrated director's cut just before it shows the credits victor crowley is chocking a girl in a boat and next it shows the credits is this how it is suppose to end or is the girl suppose to kill him before it it shows the credits or is he suppose to kill her before it shows the credits or is my hatchet unrated director's cut jumping the end skipping the end or what?

  • No thats how it end. he chocks the girl

  • Wanna see ode to the 80's, B movie gory horror? Type in 'SADIST PT. 1 OF 2' & 'SADIST PT. 2 OF 2' ON YOUTUBE! GORY & HILLARIOUS & did I mention NEW WAVE music? WTF!!!

  • Hatchet ruled! "Intelligent" horror like Scream is nice, but this is back to basics. It's over the top. It's bloody as hell. It's fun. Victor Crowley rocks!

  • classic gay american softcore wannabe horror

  • damn shit

  • It will be a new franshise like a friday 13,

but it won't be jason it will be Victor Crawley, and 5 years later will be

Victor vs Jason.Trust me I know.

  • even if ur worng or lieing, that would be cool xD vitor vs jason :] i like that

    bloody as hell

  • Kane Hodder crying freaked me out the most!!

  • who?

  • piece of shit movie!

  • this film was disturbingly crap and i had bring in couple of beers to survive the film .horay 4 alcohol.film made me laught so much wrong with it.

  • This movie wasn't Old Skool Anmerican Horror. It was a comedy or parody of The Slasher films. The acting is annoying as hell and you just want them all to die quickly. The GORE KICKS ASS in a major way. THE ONLY thing I liked about the movie!

  • Old School 80s Horror... Kick arse!!!

If you guys dig 80s style horror, look up "It Envies the Living" on You Tube.

  • Adam, nice homage to Nick Palumbo's "Nutbag" & "Murder-Set-Pieces" pig mask in your film. I guess you like slasher films after all.

  • Palumbo is a nutbag, and MSP was so bad it had no redeeming qualities at all. It wasn't a horror movie, it was just the contents of a distrubed mind put on film. And no, not the good kind of disturbed.

  • Nick Palumbo made two HORROR movies. The whole point is to be disturbing rather than make a tongue in cheek homage. "Murder-Set-Pieces" and "Nutbag" both have a sinister sensibility.

  • dark - I think where you're going wrong there is the word "sensibility." It was a vomitous collection of depraved torture-murder scenes, not a horror film. And tell me this - how many horror films have a young girl chased and murdered for enjoyment? And why is it the girl's mother couldn't see that this guy was a super-sicko freak? Maybe the bright spinning red siren on his head wasn't enough?

  • Trying to be respectful...WTF are you babbling about? Have you been watching Dead Alive and Evil Dead II too many times? Do you even know what the meaning of the word horror is? Is the concept so foreign to you that when youwatch an ACTUAL HORROR film you are this taken aback? MURDER-SET-PIECES is a genuine HORROR FILM.

  • Sorry, MSP is to horror films what the Nick Berg beheading video is to home movies.

I hate it, and I even worked on it.

  • Wait, so you supposedly worked on the best horror film to come along in years aka MURDER-SET-PIECES, and you hate it?! Not a big fan of HORROR, huh. I saw "Hatchet" today. It's a comedy with gore nothing more. "Rob Zombie's Halloween" is a thousand times the horror movie that crap was. MURDER-SET-PIECES is on a whole nother level along the likes of "The Exorcist," "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre," and "John Carpenter's Halloween."

  • You bet. Because I have a more elevated sense of even Horror films, and its the third one I've worked on. And how did you see Hatchet already? You must be on East Coast. And the 3 films you mention all have high levels of terror over horror (aside from TCSM), which is what makes them great. MSP has only gore and nonsensical, unmotivated, and gruesome violence.

  • What was Leatherface's & Michael Myer's motivation to kill prey tell? The same as MURDER-SET-PIECES the photographer; pure evil. You may have worked on horror films, but you simply don't understand them.

  • "What was Leatherface's & Michael Myer's motivation to kill prey tell?"

--I wasn't referring to the villain, but rather the victim. How many children did Leatherface, Myers, & Vorhees kill? I can't recall any. Palumbo is just a sadist and warped. Kubrick, Carpenter, & Freidkin made scary films without being downright warped human beings.

  • Ever hear of Freddy Krueger? Or how about real life killers like Paul Bernardo & Ted Bundy? MURDER-SET-PIECES is not simply a throwback to 70s slasher films. It blasts the boundaries of horror by exploring the reality of the serial murderer on a cinematic canvas. This is real HORROR. If you can't stomachitthen get away from the genre as a whole since otherwise you will be ruining it with diluted crap.

  • "Ever hear of Freddy Krueger?"

--High School teenagers aren't children. And any children Krueger killed were alluded to, not shown.

    "how about real life killers"

    --1. Bundy didn't kill children. 2. THIS IS A MOVIE, DUM-DUM.

"is not simply a throwback to 70s slasher films"

--It's HARDLY that, sir. It is one man's demented head which, if emptied in casual conversation and not on film, he'd be committed for the public good.

  • Kimberly Dianne Leach 12 years old- Bundy's last victim.

Why not allude to all murder and be done with the horror genre altogether?

So in your assessment horror filmmakers are demented degenerates who should be committed unless they make comedy horror?!

Dude, horror ain't yo thang so git outta da genre!

  • "Bundy's last victim"

    --Thanks for that.

"Why not allude to all murder"

--I never said that, nor did I ever imply that.

    "horror filmmakers are demented degenerates"

    --No, just Palumbo.

"Dude, horror ain't yo thang so git outta da genre!"

--I'm neither in or out of it. Plus, I'm just talking as any regular moviegoer who's seen his share of horror films. And MSP is no horror film.

  • dark - I'll put it to you this way. I was at the film's premiere, Palumbo wasn't. He was also kicked out of the editing process after turning in his cut, with prejudice. On top of that, the producers filed lawsuits against him and last I heard he was living with his father, sleeping on the couch. He wasted so much money, and was such an idiot pain in the ass, the producers want his head on a spike.

  • What is so amazing about the Internet is the factthat you never know who you are speaking to. To put it another way, I know you're full of shit. You don't know the man nor the situation. Palumbo over saw the editing process with Todd Ramsey. He was at the premiere and the producers and Palumbo made a deal with Lions Gate that all sides were fine with.

  • So are you Nick Palumbo?

  • No, I am not.

  • "I know you're full of shit"

    --About what?

"Palumbo over saw the editing process with Todd Ramsey"

    --There was another editor, uncredited.

    "He was at the premiere"

--Strange how I didn't see him. Are you talking about the premiere, or a festival showing?

"deal with Lions Gate that all sides were fine with"

--The deal, maybe, doesn't mean the producers were happy with him.

    "No, I am not"

    --Do you know him?

  • Folks does anybody know what is the name of the song in the very begining of the movie? I think it's Merlin Manson but i am not sure

  • Wanna know something funny, Not only is Kane Hodder in it. Jason. But Robert Englund is in it too!!! How interesting!!

  • And Tony Todd (Candyman) and Joshua Leonard (The Blair Witch Project)

  • Where can I download it?

  • um.........Friday the 13th rip-off? imo. whatever though many will bash me but damn.

  • you couldn't be more wrong.

  • tutto qui?

  • I saw some clips of it at Fango. To me it looked like any other straight to video horror flick. It's like hyping Day of the Dead 2 as the next big thing in horror.

  • umm no. not even close...thats probably one of the dumbest things i've read on here...the movies production value is stunning for it's modest budget and will be a summer blockbuster when it hits theaters september.

  • Its getting a WIDE RELEASE THIS SEPTEMBER! NO DVD

  • Its coming to theaters this fall..It should be really good

  • Is it any good?

  • halloween 2005? wtf?

  • This trailer was made quite some time ago. The movie didn't get a wide release but has been hitting the festivals and should hit DVD soon.

  • Starts in theaters (not nationwide) in September.
