And If you are talking about the length of my fingers when you say that it must help to have a 6 inches pinkys. I think you are right ! But I think the trick is to slide the index finger you use to bar the fret as the ring finger moves further.
@videotaker4356 Thanks for the tip. It definitely helps to have big hands/long fingers to play the guitar. While I'm 6 ft tall and lanky my hands are just not that big and they get tired and achy after practicing some of those long reaching bar chords. I own two old guitars, a Yamaha FG-150 Red Label ( sweet old piece ) and a Kramer Ferrington (great action/garbage sound) and I find each one has its own characteristics in relation to what I'm able to do.
Not at all, that's false, because lots of people, even young boy could easily play very complex piece of music on guitar. You only have to have the good technic or an appropriate fingers stretching technic. Try a search on Youtube for "finger stretching technic"
