  • Hi! Have you ever tried the maximus muscle 247 workout (do a google search)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend gained tons of muscle with it.

    Then u do more cardio, not strenght exercises. When u do those excecises on one muscle group, they need time to recover and adapt (is means become bigger ans stronger - the result you're looking for). But if you don't give them the time they need and overtrain them you're actually slowing this process so say the least.

  • You should add this exercise with other routines like walking, swimming, aerobics and with other exercise video's and a proper diet. I say this exercise video and other videos works on me I've lost about a hundred pounds.

    No. This is strength training only. Strength training does not burn fat. If you want a flat stomach, work out and diet.

  • I do this once a day with the 10 minute jumping jacks workout here on youtube, and i've lost some bellyfat and strong abs are showing after only 2 weeks!

  • I been doing Tae Bo since last week. 3-4 times of tae bo, then start trying out this 8 min abs, and I notice little visible abs forming already! I started out the 8 min abs twice a day for 5 days straight. It work!!!

  • you can't see your lower abs because that's where your stomach fat is mostly stored, to lose that, you might need to eat less and burn a lot of calories by dancing or jogging etc...

  • @sushichan1994 nope, it is common that your neck feels sore during the first few days, but I've never heard of an aching back. You're doing something wrong. The lower part of your back should basically touch the floor during most of the exercises and remember to lay on a flat surface and concentrate on your abdomen muscles.

  • personal advice : if u want to see results after 1-2 months do this 2-3 times a day

  • @Nelieciamasis I started doing this twice a day for the last month (started march 1st) along with eating healthier. It's only been just over a month and the results are pretty damn clear cut (pun intended). People with a fast metabolism will probably see results in under a month with the right diet.

  • @Ultrachase513 Results as in more visible abdominal muscles? I've been seeing a difference in my upper abs but not in my lower abs. How are your lower abs? This routine lacks strong lower abdominal exercises.

  • @Lrdvltr Yeah results as in more visible abs. This video definately works your upper abs more but if you modify some of the movements (like extending the opposite leg out during right/left oblique crunches f. ex.) you can get a much better lower-ab workout because of it. I started doing some plank, back & sides for 1min each after this video and along with walking it's helped my lower abs some more. Unfortunately for lower abs you need to do other things like walking to really see them.

  • @Lrdvltr Well you should probably be doing it once a day; or at least that should be the goal. Obviiously at the beginning of starting something like this everyday you might have to build yourself up to that. I started out doing it once a day, then built myself up to twice-a-day, then twice-a-day with additional stuff afterward. The most important part is making sure you don't burn yourself out and stick with doing it at least once-a-day. In my opinion, anyhow.

  • Just saying this.... Eat food on a regular schedule, try not to F it up. because if you keep skipping breakfast, then your digestive system is actually storing fat from the food to survive and your muscles break down into fat also.

  • The better you get at it tho you should deff. think about adding some weight to it (mostly for guys) either strap some around the ankles or hold some dumbells or a plate close to your chest, and/or sit on top of one of those swiss balls..

    You really need to cut fat though to see em shine. Once you drop your bodyfat% to around 6-8 you can bring it back up to 10-12 (if you want to bulk up, or just love food) and you'll still be able to see them. Its about getting that initial fat off first.

  • 8minAbs is definitely one of the best routines out there to get the results you want, thanks for cuttin' the dialog n' addin' more lower core reps. Can't believe more people aren't onto this..

    If you do this with proper form, balance, speed, every 'other' day (3 - 4 times a week) you'll have a pack in no time! I didn't have shat for abs till I started this routine n' it only took me ~6 weeks to rack a full stack. Do cardio 3 or 4 times a week too! *1 day on, 1 day off*

  • This does work. SERIOUSLY.  I never used to think I could achieve a six pack and then I began this workout routine. This was my workout plan:

    Lifted 8 kg weights: Doing arm curls, lifting the weights above my head, on average about 25 reps

    Used 3kg weights for chest

    50 squats

    Pullups- Averaging about 35

    Went running everyday before school for 20-25 mins

    I'm 16 about 5ft 7 and weigh 9 and a half stone

    If anyone has any other questions, feel free to ask

  • @RandomistAnthony Same thing used 2 happen 2 me... First, don't apply any pressure from ur hands by pulling on the back of your head, 2nd lift yourself off the ground by squeezing your abs. 3rd try to keep your neck straight by looking up at the ceiling.. I would recommend listening to the original sound version, not this, even if the music is cheesy because the instructor does give some good advice.

  • @RandomistAnthony you mustn't pull your body up with ur arms but only with your abs. i think that's what you are doing wrong also don't move your head while doing the exercises and fix a point where you can always look. if you can't go on anymore then just stop before pulling everything out by swinging or you just go on hurting your neck!

  • @RandomistAnthony face the ceiling. don't look towards your legs. if it still hurts it's probably because the muscles in your neck can't handle the strain. it'll pass in time.

  • I used to this everyday, but its been a few months because of my track season etc., I tried again today and was pleased that I could still do it all, but holy cow did I feel the burn right off the bat.

  • this is perfect. I combine the 8 minute abs with a 3 or 4 minutes of rest then plough through the 5 minute ab video, a 6 pack is coming through!!!

  • dont do cardio everyday, during cardio you do loose muscles!

    Making this abd exercise is ok to do everyday since ABS muscles just need 24h rest instead of 48h like the rest of the muscles do.

    So, this exercise everyday + 1/0/1 cardio. To get visible abs.

    If you are fat, then its ok to keep the cardio everyday for now since burning the fat is the most important step, after it stick with 1/0/1 to get some muscle gains.

  • To any non belivers I can tell you this really works! i'm 22 and after i turned 21 I drank literaly oceans of beer then about 2 months ago i realized i had a beer belly and started doing this and cardio switching off every day and now my beer flab is gone and i have a nice 4 pack. workin my way up to a 6 but hey it DOES work.

    Cardio is an absolute necessity if you want a sixpack. The exercises shown

    in this clip train your muscles but they don't burn any fat. Go running, swimming

    or biking, then do these ab exercises. After 4-5 months you'll see the results. Without cardio (running, swimming, etc.) your sixpack will never be visible.

  • Yea ! This works great! I do it maybe 3 or 4 times a week and I run most days. You know the curl part around 7:35 when you put your fingers on your stomach? I can really tell my tum's a lot less... soft haha This video makes sure you have great abs once your stomach's nice and trim, but the best way to burn fat is cardio and eliminating fake sugar! Health is a lifestyle, not a quick fix.

    Just stick with it!

  • I do this everyday, but have not completely eliminated some sweets from my diet. I mean, saturday, sunday and friday I do treat myself to something good. Like chocolate. However, only two or three peaces.

    Other than that I only eat healthy.

    I'll still lose some weight though, right? I mean, im not eating much sweets.

    Also; I think never touching a small piece of chocolate, or never ever have one cupcake, the world will end in cold and angry (and fit) people.

    I usually have a couple of chocolate biscuits with a cup of tea everyday and manage to keep a pretty good figure, so im sure you'll be fine :).

    And anyway, its sexier for a girl to be smiley than skinny!

  • @erialton You turn your music to a medium volume, then your computer all the way up so you can hear the beep over your music. It's really not that hard. People just love to complain....I think the beeps only is a great idea!

  • make sure you do the exercises right though. especially the last two minutes. make sure your lower back STAYS on the floor through all of the movements. and keep legs at a right angle, 90 degrees. no more or no less.

    it will be much more effective

    do this and you will get quicker, better results.

  • u will get results twice as fast if you do cool dow stretches. whe u do stretches it tells the body where to put the protein

  • I do if you do this 3-5 times a week as well as maintain a great diet. Elliminate as much sugar and carbs as you can as well as maintain a good calorie intake balance. Focus hard on the goal to get fit and you can easily do this in a month if you have less body fat. If you have more then it will take longer.

  • The idea was great, however, I was putting my computer on mute every time I was doing it, but it's ok like this too. I personally thank to the 3 persons from this video and to the kind person who posted it on youtube 3 years ago. It really works, it's not that hard to do, it's quick and the results are showing very quick as well! It's definitely-definitely my favorite abs exercise video from youtube!

  • Abs Mon Wed Fri Once a day. Tues and Thurs 4 45secs sprints with breaks inbetween around 1-2 minutes. That will give you your results
